The Quaint Escape - Built in 2024 - Lake Access

The Quaint Escape is a brand new 2024 custom build located in one of the most favored locations in NH! It was designed as our take on a modern cottage with beautiful yet simple features, comfortably fitting 4-6 guests' who prefer a more luxurious vacation in New Hampshire. The best feature is possibly the private access to a dock directly on Lake Winnipesaukee.

The house is around 1100 sq feet and was designed with small families and couples in mind, inviting them to escape into this quaint and cozy home that allows you to live or work comfortably. The master bedroom suite is on the 2nd floor and is equipped with a king-size bed and a small work area that includes fast Wi-Fi. Connected to it is a large bathroom that, overlooks the backyard, and consists’ of double sinks and a rainfall shower. The other 2nd floor bedroom includes a full-size bed and twin bunk beds (the top bunk bed is rated for kids only). There is an additional full bathroom upstairs and a reading nook next to a large window, overlooking the woods. Each bedroom and living room area have a built-in A/C unit with remotes so you can control the air to your comfort level.

The front door opens into the living room with a large leather couch facing the TV and electric fireplace, alongside a vinyl record player (with Bluetooth capabilities) to set the desired vibes. This open floor plan connects to the custom kitchen with quartz countertops and top end stainless steel appliances. A large island holds 6 chairs and is fully equipped with basic cooking needs from pots, pans, utensils, and a delicious coffee bar! Off the kitchen is a half bathroom that illustrates some bathroom humor, as well as a screened-in 3 season room looking over the yard and firepit. It is perfect for keeping bugs out on a summer night or enjoying a glass of wine and playing board games.

The space is ideal for families, mature adults, or solo adventurers, not for people looking to party, as it holds a maximum of 6 guests. Majority of our neighbors are full-time residents, and maintain a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, we kindly ask you to respect this and plan accordingly.

The home is a short walk to a dock within our neighborhood located on Lake Winnipesaukee where you can swim, kayak, or sunbathe. The dock is shared within those in the neighborhood and is not open to the public. You will occasionally see the Granite Street Scenic Railroad drive by the dock and can wave to fellow passengers. The property is conveniently located minutes from downtown Meredith, Weirs Beach, NH Bank Pavilion, and less than 20 minutes from Gunstock Mountain. With something local to do every season, from boating or jet skiing in the summer, to unlimited access to hiking trails for fall foliage, or several top tier ski resorts for the winter months, The Quaint Escape serves all guests' no matter what time of year.

During the building process, we spent ample time curating a guest book breaking out local restaurant recommendations, summer and winter activities, where to rent a jet ski, and more. We wanted to do the research for you so when you arrive the guess work is taken out and you can simply enjoy yourselves. This book will be stored at The Quaint Escape for viewing, however you will receive a digital copy prior to your stay to ensure you have time to make any applicable reservations.

As a friendly reminder, The Quaint Escape is very near and dear to our hearts, as literally everything in the home was designed by us. We love it so much and want to share this with you, we kindly ask you to treat it with respect and live in it as its your own.

**The summer months require a 3-night stay minimum (off season is 2-nights) however we are open to booking shorter stays during the week, if available, please reach out to us if you have something specific in mind.

Guests will have full access to the entire house and outdoor space. There is a locked utility cabinet in the basement for homeowner supplies.

No Pets / No Smoking:
Since this property is a brand-new build, pets or animals of any size are not allowed, including “day visitors”. Additionally, cigarettes, pipes, cigars, e-cigarettes / devices, snuff, or chewing tobacco, etc. are not permitted on the property. You'll be charged an additional cleaning fee should these house rules be broken. ***EMOTIONAL SUPPORT AND SERVICE ANIMALS** Please note that due to severe personal and immediate family member allergies I am unable to accommodate emotional support animals of any kind and the presence of
such on the property are grounds for immediate cancellation without refund. If you are planning on traveling with a properly documented and registered service animal, I respectfully request that you look for other accommodations in the area that are pet friendly.

Weather/Cancellations
We can not predict or control weather, so we don't offer refunds due to inclement weather. Please keep this in mind when booking, and if this is a concern we recommend purchasing travel insurance.

Exterior Security Camera:
We have exterior video cameras that help us monitor the property (and is on at all times). One is located in the front of the house and only views the driveway, the other one faces the backyard.
