Charming Chalet 5 minutes to both Lake Winni & Gunstock Mtn

This is a charming chalet with beautiful cherry wood ceilings accented with dark wood beams, a wood burning stove, butcher block island, full stand-by generator, AC mini splits, and so much more.

It is in a great location for all seasons. In warmer months, we are 5 minutes to beautiful Ellacoya State Beach on Lake Winnipesaukee and 15 minutes to Weirs Beach & Boardwalk. In the winter months, we are only 5 minutes from Gunstock Mountain Resort that has skiing, snowboarding and more. Gunstock Mountain also is a fun spot in summer months, as it has an adventure park with ziplines, e-bike tours, segway tours, aerial treetop adventures, scenic lift rides, hiking, and the mountain Coaster. In the fall, you can view some of the most colorful foliage. Whatever the season, you are sure to find local activities to enjoy.

I cannot recommend this house enough. We will definitely be going back. The house is cozy and surrounded by trees. It feels like a private getaway but is actually super accessible and a 12 min drive from any store you’d need. The owners were so pleasant and easy to work with. Absolutely a 10/10

Wonderful location for skiing at Gunstock Mountain. We loved the wood stove, the beds were crazy comfortable, the living area was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals for the gang. Highly recommend.

Very clean and comfortable! The house has cute NH decor and the beds/sheets/duvet were all soft and luxurious. The house is in a quiet wooded neighborhood and the drive way is a great size for our 4 cars we had. The backyard fire pit was great as well.

We had a wonderful stay at this very comfortable, clean and spacious home. The check in process was smooth and easy. The home had an open concept with with a comfortable living room and kitchen with a great design. The kitchen had everything we needed to help make a wonderful stay. Such a great spot for so many NH lake or mountain adventures!

Fantastic!

We went up here for my sisters bachelorette party and it was everything we hoped. The place was a cute little house right near the lake and everything was easy to access. The property owners were amazing and assisted us throughout the trip in whatever we needed. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Stupendous!

Excellent accommodations where host has thought about every item you will need and more! Loved the open concept we hosted Thanksgiving dinner and had every dish, bowl, pot, pan we needed! Beds were clean and comfy and wood stove was a bonus in the pretty snow we got. Host was receptive and made our stay easy. We will be back! Beds were comfortable

Wedding Weekend

We chose this property for its location to attend a family wedding. We were not necessarily looking for a vacation vibe, more just a place to be together as a family over being in a hotel. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and had a private yard with a fire pit and plenty of parking. We had an issue with the lock on arrival not being properly programmed which was a bit of a scare. With some luck we eventually got in. This could have been a bigger problem for some. The owners were very available prior to our stay as well as throughout the weekend which I appreciated. They offered an early check in which was gracious. They were attentive to each message and expressed their apology for the lock inconvenience . Overall the property was fine. Details like items in the kitchen drawers and cupboards that could have been organized and cleaner, dish drying mat that seemed older and not freshly laundered (didn’t use) and mattresses that didn’t have mattress covers were noted areas that needed attention.We enjoyed the coffee bar, large dining table and comfortable sectional for seating. The washer and dryer are quite large. Our king bed was comfortable. More a cabin feel overall. Check out was easy with the usual requests. We have stayed in many VRBO properties as well as other rentals. Overall it suited our needs. It was pricey after adding in all the fees in my opinion, that is just how it is. We payed a cleaning fee but was not on the receiving end of that honestly.

Unfortunately the place was really dirty.

Place has everything you need but not clean at all. It is in desperate need of a deep cleaning. My daughters blanket had throw up on it. Clearly it wasn’t washed which made me questions the cleanliness of the other sheets. We had to wash the sheets as we got there because of the condition. Very tough to get a night of sleep with the window units, they come on every 10 seconds loudly. if you are a light sleeper, you won’t be able to sleep. The place didn’t have any curb appeal. Lawn was overgrown which it wouldn’t have bothered me if the house was clean. The upstairs didn’t smell great either, old carpets. Anyway, cute little place but definitely not worth the money with the level of cleanliness. The least the other could have done was refunded the cleaning fee as I had to clean the bathroom myself before I could let my daughters use it. At least they had bleach available.

We had a great time staying here. The house is close to everything (lake, activities, and hiking). Mount Major was a great hike and so was Gunstock/Rowe.

Perfect Gunstock getaway

This house is the perfect location for a trip to Gunstock. It’s only 5 minutes to the mtn. The house is cozy and sleeps a crowd. I rented with my friend and both of our kids (6 kids total). They have plenty of the essentials but we especially enjoyed the games, smart tvs, coffee/espresso machines. All clean linens were provided and the bathrooms were tidy. I would definitely book this house again.

Enjoyable and Affordable Stay

My friends and I had an awesome experience at this property. The house was clean and spacious, the check in and check out instructions were clearly communicated and easy to follow, and the hosts were very responsive. One day we had an issue with the wifi and they called us to help pretty much right after I sent them a message. Also, the fire pit in the yard was a huge plus, our group enjoyed spending time out there. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting the surrounding area.

Perfect ski week!

I'm so happy I rented this house for the perfect ski week at gunstock. I loved that this house was extremely clean. I'm a maniac and as soon as I get somewhere I pull back all the sheets on every single bed. Every mattress was immaculate, plus had a cover. The sheets were all white which which I like, along with the duvet cover and pillowcases. This really felt more like hotel bedding than someone's personal sheets which I truly appreciate. The kitchen was also spotless and the fridge/freezer was completely spotless which I really prefer, I don't need someone's old condiments. That said the kitchen was extremely well stocked with every pot/pan you could think of. We cooked every single meal here including lunch so I really took advantage. We skied for the week at Gunstock and the weather wasn't great but I was so happy that we were only SIX minutes from the mountain; we were able to pop home for lunch every day and dry off our ski clothing in the utterly cavernous washer/dryer, which was amazing. Every room had its own thermostat; the heating worked great! I had a question for the host during our stay -- I could have texted but I emailed and she replied almost immediately. All in all I highly recommend this house -- If we go back to gunstock I won't stay anywhere else! What a find!

Incredible weekend!

We had the best time in this cute and cozy home! We also came at just the right time and got to enjoy the Santa Shuffle 15 minutes away in Laconia! We would absolutely stay here again as it was a perfect home to enjoy a weekend away with friends! 😊

Wonderful forest refuge

We had a lovely time! the house is well equipped, located in a beautiful neighborhood - already feels like you are in a forest, and close to many hikes. We could hear the tree leaves rustling, could see the stars. The communication with property owners was very easy.

We purchased this property as a place to spend time off from work in the city. We love traveling and going on adventures. The environment is quiet and tranquil, a perfect respite for a quick weekend away.

We immediately knew this was the perfect house for us. We love the chalet style and the wood beam ceilings are our favorite feature as it brings so much character and warmth to the home. And the location is perfect for year round enjoyment as we love to go out on the lake as well as snowboard/ski.
