We had a great time at this property for our daughter's college fall break. Very peaceful and quiet location. Home is very cozy and roomy. We especially enjoyed the hot tub!

The cabin was clean and spacious. The property was beautiful and very easy to access. We were attending a wedding at Howe Farms and this house was only 15 minutes away. It was also very convenient to Chattanooga. I recommend this home for any occasion.

This house was very private with a lovely yard, pool, and very unique view of the nuclear power plant on the lake. The house was a perfect size for our family summer getaway and felt very homey. Plenty of space for the entire family to watch a movie together and eat a big meal at the nice large dining table. One note to be aware of - the larger room upstairs with four beds does not have a door - it's just open to the stairs. So, if that room needs privacy or quiet, that might be a challenge. For us, the kids slept in that space and because they needed to go to bed earlier, that meant the adults had to spend the evening outside (which was actually lovely!!) so that it was sufficiently quiet. Just something to be aware of - for us it worked out fine. We also REALLY loved having a nice, big, secure fenced-in yard for our pups to be with us and run around. Saw some great wildlife (deer, hawks, etc). The pool and hot tub were clean and comfortable. I definitely recommend this house!

I thought everything was absolutely wonderful. The size of the house fit everybody perfectly. The house was clean. Hot tub was great. I thought we were gonna get to use the pool. Didn’t realize that it was out of season for it other than that was absolutely awesome. Great communication with the owners was absolutely perfect.

Linen on beds appeared not to be washed. The two downstairs beds had hair and looked like carpet in them. The pillows were flat. One of the beds in the room with four beds, pillow cases appeared to have hair dye on them. Dresser in downstairs bedroom appeared not to have been dusted in a long time.pool was not available due to time of the year. Host did not give any check out instructions except lock the doors. The house is located in a neighborhood considering it is on an acre. Listing says it’s on the lake, which it is. However, the law is not easily accessible (requires an experienced hiker)

We understand you expected lake access which our property clearly does not say we offer. The only things is the check in time. Wr pay for the whole day but can’t check in til 5pm.

Thank you for your review!!! We totally understand what you mean with a 5pm checkin time, however we felt as a group an 11am check out time gives larger groups time to eat breakfast and gather their belongings in the morning. The home is almost 3,000 square feet, with a 12 foot hot tub and a 22,000 gallon pool. If this were a 1 bedroom hotel or condo we would understand an earlier check in, but if guest do check out at 11am our cleaning crew needs at least 6 hours to prepare the entire property to our standards. We do offer additional cleaner services and ability to block the night prior if an early check in is required for your group. Also if the night before isn’t booked early check in is never an issue. I hope this helps you understand how larger properties operate on the VRBO platform 🙏🙏🙏

Cozy and Comfortable

We were staying for a family celebrating an 80th birthday. The property was perfect for the huge group of 18 (8 kids). The fenced backyard was great for the dog and the kids loved the hot tub/spa. We were too early for using the pool, but look forward to that the next time around. We all would definitely stay again and would recommend anyone desiring a huge acccomodation which is convenient to Chattanooga. Jeremy and Brittney were wonderful and always available to answer questions and make suggestions.

We rented this property expecting a premium property as reflected by the premium fee/per night price & advertised amenities. Our experience fell below those expectations. The pool: We arrived to find it green/ covered in algae (which they knew about before we arrived). A technician came & worked to improve it; however, the issue was never resolved. Algae remained along the edges, steps & ladder. It began returning again before the end of our stay.Maintenance/cleanliness issues: Overflowing trash can and bags of dog waste greeted us on arrival. We had roaches/other bugs throughout our stay despite pest control visiting the property. One bedroom did not have central AC, instead relied on a loud portable unit that never cooled the room. Several beds had hair & dirt on the sheets. We had to wash bedding/remake beds ourselves.We spent part of our stay working for the hosts by emptying the pool robot when it stopped circulating/skimming debris from the water trying to help the pool issue. We documented these issues throughout our stay w/photos & communicated w/the owner as they occurred. The pool technician/pest control/maintenance staff were courteous & appeared to do their best. Our disappointment in in re: the condition of the property when we arrived & throughout the stay. For the price paid, I expected a clean, well-maintained property as advertised ready to enjoy upon arrival. We were provided a small partial refund, which did not cover the ruined trip & lack of amenities.

The guest checking out didn’t notify us of this and we did everything we could to get it back normal during your stay. This is why we gave you a refund for your visit. Such a unique home with a great view! We were impressed with the cleanliness and accuracy of the pictures. We really appreciated that there wasn’t a long list of rules to follow or appliances that couldn’t handle large groups.

The hosts are really great folks. The property and location was perfect for housing our family while in town for a wedding at Howe Farms. Running back and forth was no big deal and it made for a beautiful gathering place. The only area for improvement was the pool maintenance. The pool was overfilled making the skimmers ineffective, so I could not keep bugs and leaves off the surface manually. Also, there was no bottom cleaning robot so the bottom had dirt and debris. I don’t know if the chlorine or PH levels were right. For us it was no biggie, we just couldn’t/didn’t use the pool. Overall great experience, and I would recommend this place to others.
