Disfruta de la playa más hermosa de la costa este desde esta serena y luminosa casa frente al mar. El diseño limpio y el maravilloso plano de planta abierto lo convierten en el lugar perfecto para reunir a familiares y amigos con el Océano Atlántico como su patio delantero. Debido a la orientación inusual de Bogue Bank, puede ver salir el sol Y ponerse desde la espectacular cubierta de esta moderna casa contemporánea. Esta casa tiene 40 años.

Abundan los placeres simples para todas las edades: largas caminatas matutinas, surf corporal, recolección de conchas de clase mundial, ver marsopas jugando desde la terraza, tomar el sol y simplemente perderse en un buen libro. ¡La comida incluso sabe mejor en este lugar! Sirve una cena informal de mariscos en el porche con brisa mientras el sol comienza a ponerse.

Tres cómodas habitaciones y dos baños en el piso principal, que incluyen una suite principal amplia y luminosa frente al mar. El nivel inferior con acceso directo a la playa ofrece un dormitorio adicional, baño y una gran sala de literas para dormir 6, perfecto para primos o invitados individuales. The house is as advertised. It felt comfortable being there, like with an old friend. The beds were comfotable, the kitchen well stocked, and the views great. The beach was very quiet and private. Monica was a great hostess. We would gladly return.

We stayed at the property for a wedding. Monica was very friendly and even let us check in early. She answered all our questions and helped us find items. The location was great. Right near everything we needed. We didn’t find too many shells but that’s ok. We had a great time walking the beach and looking for some.

Family Fall Getaway

Wonderful accommodations and a short walk on a private access to the ocean. The ocean view was breathtaking. Being pet friendly was a bonus. Memories were made!

Great experience!

The location is great! The beach access is fantastic and there are plenty of items on hand to use. The second garage fridge was awesome to have! The owners are easily accessible, although we didn’t need to contact them. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time at Monica‘s home at Pine Knolls. The location is superb. very private beach Just a short walk from the house. The aquarium is worthy of a visit! The house fit the 13 of us very well. And I do recommend it.

Unique Emerald Isle beachfront home

Beautiful home with gorgeous views and great proximity to beachfront! Very private with lovely natural shrubbery surrounding home including a foliage covered boardwalk to the beach. Both a covered and sun deck complete with lounge and rocking chairs overlooking the beach. We were there over July 4 and could see fireworks in both directions from the beach. Lots of beach chairs and toys, even a serviceable bike. We're an extended family who likes to cook, and the kitchen could have used more storage space and room to maneuver. Needed more room to store games upstairs out of reach of little ones. Plenty of storage in bedrooms. Overall a wonderful trip! Homeowner, Monica and management crew were exceptionally responsive!

What else is there to say - great host and amenities - great ocean view - beach within 75 yards - nice choice of grills - close enough to amenities rest. Putt putt etc - quiet and dog friendly - what else is there to say ??!! Awesome - thx for sharing your property!

Great Spot for R&R

Gathered for four nights with adult children and grandkids to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Location! Location! Right on beautiful beach. Ocean lulls you to sleep at night. Watch dolphins swim by as you enjoy morning coffee on the deck. Great screened porch with large picnic table for meals or to play board games. Plenty of outdoor seating. Lots of beach toys and boogie boards and a great outdoor shower and hose to shower everyone and everything off. Fully stocked kitchen with large dining area and plenty of seating in living room. There were 10 of us. Comfy beds. We made ourselves at home, had everything we needed and got immediate response from owner/management if we didn’t. We went into Beaufort NC for lunch one day - 15 min. Drive - lovely little town but otherwise never left the house/beach. Kids in water all day long. The first weekend of May! Gorgeous weather. We couldn’t have asked for more! (Would suggest guests bring their own beach chairs although plenty for the young ones. Or you can carry a few light weight Adirondack chairs from the porch down to beach for the day) Would love to return when we can get the entire family together again!

Spring stay with pooches.

Heckman House and in particular the owner were wonderful. The house was clean, with plenty of towels (for shower), beds made up with linens. Stayed in the master bedroom which had views of the ocean from the windows and picture window in the master bath. Bed was comfortable and it was soothing to hear the waves at night! Kitchen well stocked with plates, pots, pans, cutlery, etc. There are wine glasses, wine opener, a small shaker and blender. Great beach access—literally on the beach with a walkway from the lower level and steps from the upper deck. The flowering bushes had a lovely fragrance but do need to be trimmed as they were encroaching on the beach walkway but did not impede access (if tall you needed to duck a bit). The upper deck and screened porch were perfect! The deck is gated so we could let our dogs hang on the deck without worry! There is also a grassy area at the bottom of the driveway which works well for “potty-ing” the pups. Beautiful ocean view from the deck and living areas. Plenty of games, cards, beach chairs, etc. Monica, the owner was super responsive to emails via VRBO-as we had many questions during the process. Additionally, upon arrival we found that the grills weren’t in great shape and there was no propane for the gas grill. Emailed Monica the following morning; she answered within the hour and by early afternoon we had a new Weber charcoal grill! Thank you for sharing your lovely home, allowing pets and being very responsive and helpful!!!

Top 5 Beach Memory

Monica’s place is simply perfect. We have two big dogs and one dog has cancer and we wanted to bring him to the ocean. He is a tripod. Monica is very gracious to allow us to stay. Her house is perfect and reminds me of mine where I grew up in FL. Thanks, Monica!

Fall Retreat for Family Birthdays, Working Remotely, and Relaxing

First time we have rented a place for a week in October and this turned out to be the perfect place for a little bit of everything. Had 3 daughters and two spouses and 2 grandkids for weekend for birthday celebration then rest of week just three adults and small labradoodle. We worked some (some did more than others) worked puzzles, sat on deck watching the water and amazing sunsets, walked on beach, and really took advantage of location and comfort. All but one bedroom have views of beach when you wake up! So nicely decorated with relaxing beach, water, and NC pictures. Fun books to browse through. Quiet private beach with no annoying street lights. Just comfortable in every way with space, all we needed in kitchen, comfortable beds, etc. It is a very special place - very homey. You know, these days some people are fussing about the VRBO owners who ask the renters to do too much cleanup. Our instructions were not to even strip the beds but just to relax have our coffee and enjoy our last morning at beach. These are posted instructions and not just to us. Monica knew there was a big birthday celebration and left a card and bottle of champagne. Indeed we have wonderful memories of the place. And we so appreciate Monica and her sharing her special family place with our family.

Great time!

We had a great time at Monica’s property! We had two families, including a baby and it worked out really well. The ocean views and location on the beach are truly unbeatable. We had the beach to ourselves even during the last week of August. This is definitely a beach home…. it was very clean and functional (everything worked great) but a bit old with some wear and tear. That worked great for us because we felt quite comfortable but it’s not fancy. We were there for the beach and spent most of our time outside and on the balcony. Loved the outdoor shower!

Family vacation

Very disappointed with the cleanliness of this house .. host blamed the cleaning crew but the bathroom were nasty mold on the shower curtain and grout had mold not the cleaning crew fault! Carpets were nasty! The pictures were false advertising for this house will never stay or recommend anyone to stay!! Vrbo should inspect homes before allowing guest to stay!! I paid 6800.00 for the week I should be compensated for the filth!!!!

Excellent Beach House

Easy access to the beach, charming layout inside. great dorm for the kids perfect great room. Great amenities, fantastic outdoor shower and Monica was the perfect owner who answered all our question. We would love to return next summer.

Relaxing Beach Vacation

This was our 3rd year in a row staying at Heckman house. The house is lovely, the beach is quiet, and everything is always ready for our arrival. Monica is a very responsive owner and wants her guests to have a great experience.

Family Reunion

It’s was an amazing place! Our family is spread out across the nation and because of the pandemic we have all not been together in several years! We had plenty of space for all of us. It was easy to access restaurants and grocery stores and it was wonderful to be on the beach!

Beautiful Property

Talk about a stunning location - just far enough away from Atlantic Beach to escape the crowds in a lovely quiet neighborhood. Direct beach access was awesome, as was waking up to see dolphins close to shore! House was great with more than enough space

Our family has created many happy memories here on the most beautiful beach in the country. This very special home has been the perfect place to celebrate retirement, new babies, family reunions, Easter, Thanksgiving and even a Spring wedding. We still vacation as an extended family every year. As the family grows, we fill every inch of this home with laughs and good times.
The home was designed for private spaces. You can get away from the activity and enjoy a spot on your own, be it on the hammock, or just in your quiet bedroom.

Friends,
My Dad was a beach person and when summer vacation time rolled around, he wanted to go to the beach. Mom was fair skinned and sometimes overruled him, but when they retired in 1980, Dad won the day. They built and retired to the house in Pine Knoll Shores, NC. Dad only had a few years in his dream home and when he passed, Mom, Suddenly alone, moved back to Pittsburgh and her old friends. Since then The HECKMAN HOUSE has been "the beach house" for the Heckman's and hundreds of others, too, guests who come for a week or two and then come back again. These people often act like they own the place and we love that , and understand it.

A lot has changed in the past 40+ years at 125--furniture, carpeting, TV's, appliances and wall colors come and go, but the house and it's main attraction the ATLANTIC OCEAN at your door remain the same. There's bright sunshine and freshness in the Spring, long lazy beach days through the Summer, the best weather in the world come Fall and the solace in the Winter, If you've been missing any of that, or just the front porch, please let us know.
