Tybee Sun + Soul: Watch Sunrise from Bed in this Happy North End Tybee Home
Tybee Sun + Soul is a happy and bright townhouse on the North Beach side of quirky, quaint and beautiful Tybee Island. With private beach access, you can watch the sunrise from the primary bedroom or walk across the path through the dunes to sink your toes in the sand. This home has everything you need from beach chairs, a beach cart and coolers to a kitchen that is well-stocked with all the appliances and dishes you might need. It is a quiet neighborhood - but walking distance to the best restaurants. Tybee is only one mile wide and 3 miles long, so if you want to jump into the party atmosphere of the South end - or the famous local hang out: HucA Poos (Poo's for short) -- it's a short drive, bike ride or "Breezy" ride (the local cab service will take you anywhere on the island for $5 per person.) This property is within walking distance to the Tybee Lighthouse, the Marine Science Museum and the Seasonal (Monday) Farmers Market. The beach has a ton of fossilized sharks teeth to find, or you can play bocce or cornhole (provided), watch the ships coming to and from the Port of Savannah, or just relax on the beach.
The upstairs (Tybee Soulshine) has 2 bedrooms / 2.5 baths. The office/yoga room has an open floor and is perfect for a queen size air mattress if needed. The separate apartment (Tybee Sunshine) has a queen sized bed, an additional full kitchen and bathroom with a seperate entrance and is a ground floor unit, which is helpful if climbing stairs is difficult.
These units are also offered as separate units under Tybee Sunshine (downstairs) & Tybee Soulshine (upstairs.)

I love sharing this little slice of Tybee with my guests! I've lived in this very unit since 1989 and I got very lucky finding such a cool, quiet part of the beach back then. These days, I sometimes live in my hometown, Knoxville, TN and while there, I get to share my home with guests who, fortunately, tend to love it as much as I do.

Back when I moved to Tybee in 1989 and bought Tybee Sun + Soul, Tybee was a sleepy little island with only 300 year round residents. I loved this property because it was on the beach and off the beaten path. Fast forward to today and the rest of the island has gotten much more populated and touristy (although still a bit quirky.) Given that, I am now even happier to be in this quiet neighborhood. The best part... is that the island is only 3 miles long and one mile wide, so you can still be a part of the fun (if you want) but sleep with peace & quiet!

This listing is a combination of Tybee Soulshine (my Primary residence - although if it is a date showing as available to you, I am visiting elsewhere!) and Tybee Sunshine (a ground-level one-bedroom apartment with it's own bathroom and full kitchen.) From the primary bedroom upstairs, you can see across the dunes and watch the sunrise from bed... or walk across the private beach access to dip your toes in the water while you watch the sunrise! Because the beach access is private, the beautiful beach at this property is unpopulated and quiet! The decor is bright, and soulful and contains original artwork, yoga & spiritual books. The office has a wide-open floor for yoga (or an air mattress - Ha ha!). It's a happy space and one bedroom has it's own entrance, yet they can share the common areas in the upstairs unit.
