So when we arrived, most of the electricity was out at the building. We were on the 2nd and 4th floor of this building. So we had to carry huge suitcases up 4 flights of stairs. Not to mention that one of my friends has a bad knee and one has a bad foot. I immediately contacted the property owner and the response was “I know, but we don’t have an ETA on when it will get fixed. It was so excruciatingly hot when we finally made it inside. We had to shower in the dark because we were drenched in sweat. Even after showering uncomfortably, we were still hot because there was no air for well over an hour. It was 90 degrees outside so you can imagine how hot we were inside. The shower curtains were old and worn. We didn’t have a broom to keep it tidy. The sofas were so old and they sat extremely low! Our beds were so uncomfortable! It was just overall a terrible experience . Wont stay here again!

Excellent!

Perfect property for large family vacation. We had 11 adults and two small children. Plenty of bedrooms for the adults to have their own space. Pool table and ping pong gave us a lot of entertainment while back in the condo. The code system to enter was much easier than dealing with key cards with so many people. Condo was clean and ready to go upon arrival.

Nice condo and great location!

Our large family thoroughly enjoyed our week here. This condo is located just across the street from the beach with beach access directly across from the condo. There were a couple issues as far as laundry being left behind, and not enough parking passes being left, but once we reached out to management, it was swiftly taken care of. My only complaint was the lack of some important kitchen items. We noticed there were no scissors, cutting boards and a very tiny trash can for a condo that houses that many people. Overall, we would stay here again and enjoyed our time here.

Great Potential, but poorly maintained!

I truly feel sorry for the property owner as I am not sure they are aware of how poorly maintained their condo is. It is spacious with a great location, but it was truly filthy at check in. The trash had been taken out of the can and the towels replaced, but the kitchen was gross. Dirty linens left in the bathrooms and bedrooms, 2/5 toilets were disgusting. During a game of hide and seek my 7 year old found a broken picture/pane of glass shoved under the bed. One of the toilets broke during our stay and maintenance had to come twice because the first day he didn’t fix it properly. The property team was quick to respond when texted; however, no real solutions were ever offered. They simply said “thanks for the feedback”. This could have been a 5 star place had they ensured their property was appropriately cleaned and maintained. It definitely was not worth the money for the stay and honestly, had it been well maintained, I would have paid double for the convenience and size, but truly subpar cleaning standards.

Don’t be fooled

First, I have to say Affordable Large Properties were great! They were extremely helpful and quick to act when we reported our problems! So when we arrived to Cherry Grove Villas ( we have stayed here for the past three years but in a different unit) and walked into our home for the week I thought it looked ok. Then we saw the completely worn out living room furniture, the nasty balcony furniture, a broken bed, unraveling carpet, all wicker bedroom furniture ( which we were told by the exterminator should never be in a bedroom) rusted screen doors x 2 just thrown in both corners on the second floor balcony, and BEDBUGS in an upstairs bedroom. According to the exterminator this property has had 3 out of the 6 bedrooms treated previously and our room made number 4!! Although this was quickly dealt with it costs us several days of stress cleaning our things, washing our bedsheets and many other precautions we took there and even when we arrived home we still took numerous precautions to keep that infestation away! Also, the kitchen lacks proper cookware, the dishwasher is rusted, and the stove needs a good cleaning. It was a stressful week. So don’t be fooled at the pictures you may see on the site. It needs slots of updates and the exterminator even said all mattresses and box springs need to be replaced! Lots of bedbug fecal residue.

The property was dated and worn, but we had a great time.

Other than the lower floor air conditioning not working for the first 4 days, because of a burnt through wire, the experience was good. We would stay again and also recommend this property to others.

Overall good had problems with the washing machine dishwasher and all of the dressers were broken so plan on living out of your suitcase. The parking garage is difficult to maneuver and very hard to park a minivan the spaces are not big enough

No repeat stay for us

We’ve been taking annual family beach trips for over 30 years, and this was one of our most disappointing rentals. One of the downstairs beds was broken which caused us to have to redo sleeping arrangements. The dishwasher didn’t work. The beds that are listed as queens are very questionable. They seemed more like doubles. None of the beds were very comfortable. One of the dining room chairs was missing so even using the bar stools, we didn’t have enough seating for everyone. The balcony and balcony furniture was sandy and very dirty. I’m not sure if or when it had ever been cleaned. I would not rent this condo again or recommend it to anyone.

It was an okay experience.

There were 2 big duffle bags of dirty laundry left in one of the front rooms. There weren't that many dishes or pots and pans to cook with. It was very musty when we went in.

Our stay would have been perfect if not for the a/c not properly working on the main floor. It made it very uncomfortable. The upstairs unit malfunctioned, leaked water but when I called management they sent someone over in a timely manner who was able to handle the matter. They could also feel the difference on the main floor but said that would require the actual a/c people to come out to be fixed so unfortunately we would just have to suffer through it. The kitchen space was very nice but a little tight and with the faulty a/c it made the whole area hot when preparing and eatting meals! The pool area was sufficient, the beach was wonderful and directly across the street and the parking great. There were people over us but we weren't disturbed or disrupted at all. This property isn't within walking distance to shopping but driving is easy. I would highly recommend this property even with the few mishaps.

Very well managed facility!!

Great location to enjoy the beach. The condo was spacious and clean. Please ignore any negative reviews, just call the management team and they will address any issues ASAP! During the stay we had an issue with the washing machine not working; the problem was fixed within 24 hours. The management team offers a solution within minutes of receiving a text from a guest. This area of Myrtle Beach is very nice and on the quiet side. Although, if you drive about 10 minutes you can be in the shopping and eating areas. If walking, the closest place to grab something to eat is about a 20 minute walk. We were notified at exactly 4:01pm that our condo was ready for check-in, as stipulated in the check-in details. FYI...each of the 5 bathrooms receive 4 towels and 4 washcloths. The outside patio furniture should be updated, along with the dining table inside the condo; there were water spots and stains on the table. I simply bought a tablecloth and problem fixed for me, I did the same for the outdoor patio tables. The ceiling fans should be adjusted, they were wobbly in the living/dining area and some of the bedrooms. I give condo #204 FIVE stars for location, excellent customer service, and cleanliness. Kitchen not well appointed. No cutting board, no oven pans.

Apt was big. AC vents leak water on everything below them...beds, floor, bathroom counters. Not many pots or pans. Upstairs toilet had stained bowel (looked unclean). Top bedspread and matching pillows on one bed smelled bad. Wonder if they get washed or just remade with used ones. Ew. Location was great. If you rent this place you need to bring, pots and pans, dish soap, hand soap, kitchen towels and sponges. We were comfortable, but I would go somewhere else next time. Not impressed with the places condition or cleanliness. Could be better kept. Size is great for large groups. Location is easy ocean access. Pool is small but clean and convenient. Over all three stars.

Family and Friends all enjoyed our stay!

Would we choose to stay again....Yes! Would we recommend to other family and friends....Yes!! Pros and Cons - upon arrival we all noticed lot's of cupboard space in the kitchen and island area -- almost all empty except sparse items in like 4-6 cabinets. Would be nice to have a full stocked kitchen in such a beautiful condo - was barely enough decent pots/pans to cook for 18 people - while there we purchased a crock pot and 20 in. griddle to cook on , beach toys would also be nice so we didn't have to purchase! The game room upstairs - great gathering area, was used a lot! Upon arrival there was no triangle for pool and no paddles for table top tennis - was taken care of immediately by staff. Dryer was broke and was fixed on Monday. All and all - the condo provided plenty of space for all 18 of us! The balcony view from 2nd floor is breathtaking! The condo itself.....beautiful floors, counter tops and the beds and pillows - all very comfortable!! The management team communicated well and listened to our concerns! Thanks for contributing to a memorable vacation!

A Great Place for a Family Getaway

My family and another close family stayed in this condo for a New Years getaway and thoroughly enjoyed it. The condo is very large and clean. The recent renovations were clear. All of the walls are freshly painted and the décor really set a beachy tone, even in the middle of winter. The kitchen area was great for preparing large family meals and the game room kept us entertained. The beaches are very close and we are definitely thinking of renting again for a summer vacation.
