Quiet, stunning views

We lived our stay at Double Dunes. Quiet location with ocean and sound views. Property was very clean and well kept. Great water pressure in the modern showers. Owners and property managers are friendly and helpful. Loved all of the decks! We've already booked another stay. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Cozy, Comfortable, beach oasis

We were a group of 6 friends. The house was comfortable and big enough for everyone. Enough seating at the dining room table, living room, and most importantly outside decks! We loved the location and even seen dolphins frolicking in the ocean right in front of the house. It was a great place experience and we will already booked for next year. Thank you for an amazing vacation!

Perfect Fit

Our annual trip to Topsail was absolutely perfect in this oceanfront house! Everything we needed was right there, couldn’t have asked for anything better! Hope to be back again!

Great place!

We had a great week at Double Dunes. It was our first time in Topsail and was perfect. The house has everything you need, is clean and the location is perfect.

Very impressive house.

Property very clean with updated baths and kitchen appliances. Great decks for viewing beach. Little touches that made our stay easy. Had to contact manager for code to enter. Owner was very helpful when needed.

Perfect stay

This place was perfect for our family vacation. Pictures don't do it justice. The kitchen was well stocked and storage closet had everything we needed for our daily beach activities (chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards). Some of us even took out the kayaks on the Sound across the street. Leonard and Marsha were very responsive and communication was great. We could not have asked for a better stay!

Absolutely Perfect

Our family had a wonderful time at this little cozy house. The home is so warm and inviting. Very clean, well stocked, all the extras such as a grill beach chair sand toys umbrellas and so much more. Definitely going back next year. This is a place I would love to call my own. Communication from Leonard and Mary was a step above. The attention to detail in the painting on the arched windows we’re definitely something to see . Go ahead and book your stay with this rental you won’t be disappointed I promise.

Such a great week!

We loved our time at Double Dunes - everything was just as the listing shows, and the home comfortably fit our family of 5. It was so nice to not have to worry about bringing beach gear - there were plenty of chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and sand toys. We're looking forward to returning next year! Thanks Leonard!

Double Dunes is perfect!

This house was just perfect! Right on the ocean with a very comfortable set up! The kitchen had everything we needed plus some! We even made waffles with homemade whipped cream to celebrate our sons’s 4th birthday! The bathrooms and bedrooms were appropriately sized and everything has been recently updated! The proximity to the ocean was amazing and we’re grateful for the use of the beach chairs, toys and umbrellas as well as the gas grill! We can’t wait to go back! Leonard was always very quick to respond throughout this whole process!

Excellent property and excellent communication with owner!!!

This is by far one of the best rental experience we’ve had. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous. It is a very well stocked kitchen, except for the food of course, but the real money maker is the outside living space, the decks are what captivated me the most about this rental. Having access to the beautiful North Topsail Beach views are priceless. The owners were very responsive which made the check-in process smooth. We enjoyed our stay so much that we’ve already booked for next year and honestly I can’t wait. Kudos to the Fitzwater’s for the love they pour into their property. Their attention to detail can be seen in every aspect of their home. Thanks again Leonard and Marsha! We loved your home!

Paradise

This was first trip to Topsail. It was amazing. Home was stocked with everything you need (except food of course). It was nice to step outside and hear the waves and feel the ocean breeze. It even had bird feeders! While we were there a turtle came onto beach about a mile from us and layed her eggs! I can’t wait to come back and highly recommend Leonard and Marsha.

Awesome House and Great Communication with Homeowners

My family and I absolutely loved this house! It was beautiful inside and outside and was very clean! The views and the multiple decks were amazing! The house had plenty of amenities inside and had an overwhelming amount of beach-related equipment, such as a beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and so on. We have stayed at several beach rentals in the past and this by-far was our best experience with a rental. Both homeowners, Leonard and Marsha, were very nice and very communicable. My family repeatedly commented how the house felt very loved. Everything inside and out was well taken care of and we also enjoyed how nice the house looked inside with the various decor and updated furniture. We are already in the process of booking our vacation for thus house next year!

Family vacation 2020

This house was better than I could have imagined. Steps from the beach, beautiful views, beautiful home. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook meals at home each day. Having access to the owners closet was an added bonus. Not having to worry about packing our own chairs and beach umbrellas was nice. My husband was also able to take our son on his first kayak trip on the sound. They loved it. Thanks so much for opening your home, we hope to visit again.

Perfect, as usual

We have stayed at this house before and will stay again. Location is great; close-but-not-too-close to shops and right across the street from a little park with kayak launch. The property is well-kept and has all the "little things" like any kitchen gadget you could want, extra blankets, great internet, Firestick, and this year Leonard was kind enough to provide access to their storage room with kayaks, umbrellas, and more. We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Word to the wise: There's a zero tolerance -- and I mean zero -- ordinance for items left on the beach. We were lazy one day and left our canopy up overnight; we awoke to find it had been collected and transported to the dump. Whoops. Lesson learned.

Perfect Family Beach House

Great house! Felt like home. Loved the location of the house. The open layout was great for family (could cook in the kitchen and still visit with family, sea the ocean view, or watch tv) The decks were wonderful. We could sit out near the beach and watch the elusive sand crabs dig their holes. Had a beautiful male red-winged black bird come to the dune closest to the house and sing to us several mornings we were there. The owners were very accommodating and very responsive to any questions we had. Loved our stay and would definitely stay at this house again. Very clean.

Just as great second time around

This was the second time my family has stayed here and it was just as nice as we remembered from last year. The house is so comfortable and well equipped. The view spectacular. Could not ask for a nicer beach and beach house to enjoy family time together.

This home and the owners are AWESOME!!!! I can't say enough good things about this place! It is quiet, clean, great location, right on the ocean, totally relaxing. I had a week booked and was only able to say a couple days due to Hurricane Florence, but even in the short time I had there, I am convinced me that I made the best choice possible for a vacation property. I am already planning my trip for next season! Hurricane or Not --- I will be back!!!! :)))))))

Beautiful Home!!!!!

Beautiful home, right on the beach. Super clean, and in a quiet neighborhood. A short drive to Surf City and Camp Lejeune. Enjoyed the beautiful sunrises and walks on the beach. Leonard was a wonderful host. We would definitely stay here again.

We traveled to Topsail Island from Ohio for many years. We love the beach and the private atmosphere of the island. We bought a lot and had our house built over the winter of 95-96. Our first rental was in 1996. We also became familiar with hurricanes- Bertha and Fran and then Florence.
Our house has many updates for your comfort.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

When I was a little girl, our family always came to Topsail for a few days and my dad went fishing. I never got enough of the beach. To this day, I have never left Double Dunes (or Topsail) and felt ready to come home to Ohio. In our retirement, we plan to spend a lot more time there.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We love to sit on the sundeck at the end of the cross over. It looks over the dune and it is like being on the beach without the sand. The upper deck is a great place to enjoy the cool evening with your favorite refreshment. It is the perfect end of a long day at the beach. We love to cook so we always look forward to some tasty shrimp and oyster dinners. There are also many restaurants that we like so much that we look forward to them year after year.
