Welcome to the ocean front community of Costa del Sol Villa Dakota!
Villa Dakota is newly remodeled in the second half of 2021andlocated in a private community on the island of Cozumel. A spacious three suite home with private bathrooms and stunning views. sleeping space for a total of 13 people. Private 24 hour gated security, High speed internet, pool, beach, private pier, full kitchen, purified water, washer/dryer, dishwasher, Central AC, 4 flat screen smart TV's. Everything you need for your vacation!
The master suite on the 2nd floor has a breath-taking view of the ocean and access to the villa's large private patio with an outdoor kitchen, gas grill, hammock and outdoor furniture.
Each bedroom has it's own private bathroom.
Selene will be your day to day contact for Villa Dakota. She will greet you and show around the villa. Daily housekeeping is available for your stay or maybe you only want if every other day, just let Selene know.
Villa Dakota is located on the south zone near the all-inclusive resorts and sandy beaches. You will have your own beach, pool and private pier to be picked up for your excursions to go snorkeling, scuba diving or fishing. You can feel safe in our gated community with 24/7 security at the gate.
Access to town is just a 15 minute taxi ride away. If you decide to rent a vehicle, there is parking space available with security cameras fed to the security for monitoring.

Very nice stay

House had everything we needed, towels, linens and a very good selection of kitchen ware.Area was clean and comfortable.All the staff were very friendly and helpful.It was nice having dive pier right on property.

Amazing House!

We had an amazing week staying at the Villa Dakota! The house had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Having the dive boat pick us up at our private dock was a huge plus. There were five of us staying in the house, and we had more than enough space. Hanging out on the private beach, swimming in the pool, and watching the gorgeous sunsets was icing on the cake.

Great place to stay. Easy walk to the pool and beach. Dock was perfect for being picked up for scuba and snorkel. Selene was more than helpful whenever and for whatever was needed.

Excellent group location for divers

This location was clean, up to date, and in a prime location for a group of divers. Our boat picked us up from the dock and we could access some of the best dive sites with a 20 min boat ride. Highly recommended for a group of friends or large family. Water service was also included.

First time staying in this unit. We have stayed in several locations in Costa Del Sol and this is now our favorite. Clean, beautiful view, and we can't say enough good about the Host. Very responsive and helpful from start to finish.

Best place to stay in Cozumel

Villa Dakota was an excellent place to stay in Cozumel. It was our first time in Cozumel and the villa was perfect. We did not realize that there are very little private beaches in Cozumel and you need to reserve at a beach club if you want to go. The Villa has its own private beach that is raked every day and has a very nice protected cove for young kids if you have them. There is a nice pier where you can be picked up by boat for excursions. The location provides a very nice and quiet experience away from the noise and traffic of town but is a quick and easy drive into town. The Villa is outstanding with all the amenities you could ask for. The grounds are great and very safe. We were very well taken care of and would highly recommend for a stay in Cozumel.

Perfect Paradise

Amazing property and phenomenal host, Selene (who was incredibly helpful). The 3 bedrooms were huge with comfortable beds and linens, overhead fans, smart TVs and plenty of closet space. Each room has its own AC so sleeping was comfortable. Now let’s talk about the showers. WOW. The shower heads had 8 jets!! Endless hot water and great water pressure. Heaven. Moving on. Very well stocked kitchen. Lots of spices provided. There is no store nearby but we had Selene (the amazing host) grab us the basic groceries since our arrival was late evening. Plenty of cookware and dishes. Big and comfortable dining table. Great TV room for movies The top deck is wonderful. Cooked (BBQ) and relaxed and watched the sunset from it. Very comfortable and plenty of seating. There was little wonderful additions that made the stay comfortable - outdoor shower, cordless speaker we used endlessly, throw blankets, fluffy towels, great wifi, ice maker, endless bottled water and keyless entry. The pool was so inviting at around 85-90. Snorkeling was pretty good but I would suggest going to the money bar and sky reef just down the road. There is no nearby store so make sure you stock up as you are 15 km from town. Nice dock for pickup for diving and fishing. The property was quiet and the other guests and owners friendly. Highly recommend this rental for relaxing in comfort. Felt like home (if I could afford beach front property 😆). Definitely 5 stars. All pros and no cons.

Wonderful location, adequate house

Our family has stayed at 5 properties in this excellent complex. Property manager (Selene) very responsive, especially with all of our continual WiFi issues (needs upgrade) Some of the linens need upgrade also. Daily housekeeping a plus and Selene very helpful with communication. A “Helpful Hint” sheet would be nice for reference ..ex. Using TV (passwords for streaming) Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

A Valuable Villa

The Villa Dakota Ocean Front was fantastic and exceeded our expectations in all respects. The grounds are meticulously maintained, and the workers are amazing, including Rodrigo (sp?) at the security gate. The villa is a stone’s throw from the pool and water's edge. Dive boat picked us up from the pier. Snorkeling was awesome. The house itself was amazingly spacious for our family of five … huge rooms and tall ceilings, phenomenal kitchen and sitting area, upstairs outdoor patio off the master suite, spacious bathrooms/showers in each of the three bedrooms. Can’t say enough good things about this place. The location is about 20 minutes from the nearest tourist area/town – San Miguel (great restaurants and very walkable, safe). We loved the proximity to the local beaches and drive up the eastern coast. Selene who managed things checked in on us regularly. Would love to come back. Thank you so much for your hospitality and wonderful accommodations. Just amazing.

This house worked perfect for our two families with adult children. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were spacious and we loved the showers. The location is great for divers and non divers.

Great House

We have been to Cozumel many times and have always stayed at a resort. We were a little leery booking a house, but this home and the location was perfect. Villa Dakota is located in Costa Del Sol which is a secure little community and the grounds staff were very welcoming and helpful. The housekeeper came everyday at 10am and at first we thought this was going to be a nuisance but we quickly became spoiled with her attention to detail and coming home to a clean home everyday after our activities. The home itself is nicely updated and decorated well. The beds are comfortable. Plenty of towels (bath and beach) were available. The kitchen is equipped if you prefer to cook while you are there. The 5 gallon bottle of purified water that was available in the kitchen area was very appreciated. We highly recommend this house and the owner had great communication. If you ever consider selling this property- put me at the top of the list of potential buyers!

Early December Vacation

This location and home was excellent! The home had all the amenities we needed to easily cook and enjoy when we decided to stay at the house. The house was very clean and communication and advice was very easy with the property manager, Selene. She would always quickly reply when any questions arose. The home and area of adjacent homes felt very safe and was very quiet. There was home cleaning daily and security guards/gate personnel which helped out with luggage and transportation if needed. The location is ideal. An easy drive to town (10km), nearby snorkels off the road, great lunches at Sky Reef, swimming at punta sur or the surfing locations in the waves - the location is very quiet, away from the town, which is nice while still easy to explore. I would definitely encourage others to rent this home. The A/C was powerful, upper deck relaxing enough to nap in the hammock, nice ocean views, easy walk to beach and pool, parking for rental cars, really nice Weber grill for dinner, and even a printer to print out return travel emailed covid results to make logistics easier (very nice plus). The beds were comfortable and the TVs are Smart allowing easy login for your family viewing. Steve and Selene were very responsive and we highly recommend this home to others considering a trip to Cozumel. Thank you Steve and Selene - We had a great time visiting again to Cozumel!
