Best spot in the bay

Bella Luna was in the heart of it all. Walk out and your feet are in the ocean. Short walk to restaurants, bars, and shops. The house was great, clean and had all the amenities.

We Will Be Back to Bella Luna

I cannot say enough good things about this house and its location. Our group arrived and spent a week at the property and did not want to leave. The overall space is very large and everything is super modern and for the most part very well-maintained. We wanted to be able to cook some during our stay and the kitchens were both very well-stocked with utensils, cutlery, dishes, pots and pans. The AC units throughout the property WORK, and work well - which was critical because Roatan was certainly warm while we were there. The rooftop area was gorgeous - it has incredible views and ample seating area. The pool was perfect for an evening or night time dip to relax and wind down from the day. The location of this house is the real gem. The water of Half Moon Bay is literally 2 steps from your front yard area. The reef in the bay, and particularly on the side that Bella Luna is located, is significantly better for snorkeling that I assumed it would be. Having access to that right out front is a major pro for this property. Miss Anita runs a paddleboard and kayak rental company next door and she is so kind - I highly recommend renting from her if those activities interest you. I want to point out that the property managers were extremely responsive before and our trip and throughout our stay. They made it all so easy. Finally, this property is in the heart of West End and you are a very short walk from all the bars and restaurants you would ever need during your stay.

Heart of West End Action

Location location location. We have been going to Roatan for 8 years. We always stay at West Bay at Bananrama. This year we decided to switch it up and stay in West End. We checked VRBO and it was between Bella Luna and Air Agua. We went with Bella Luna because of the awesome roof top. (Note: the pics showed a giant round day bed and a hanging hammock chair swing which were NOT on premise), had we known this we probably would have went with Air Agua. The pool on the roof is also very small.. 2 people max. More like a Japanese tub. Otherwise the house and amenities were spot on. Everything stocked and very clean. A few ants in the kitchen, but it is an island so we were fine sharing the space. Marvin was great and was onsite every morning at 8am if we needed anything. AC UNITS WORK AWESOME. This is one thing we have learned about Roatan, a lot of places have undersized AC units compared to what "Americans" are used to. All three apartments were ice cold. Well stocked kitchens with huge fridges. Beds were tempurpedic style and slept very well. Wish we didnt have to make an extra stop on the way in for checkin.. but this is managed by a property management company not an individual, so there is that. No parking at all, none. And the restaurant to the right (Pura Vida) does not like you walking by their restaurant. Anita on the left was very nice (and her husband has a water taxi fishing guide service) and let us use her yard as a route to the road.

Awesome experience!

The property was perfect; several bedrooms with private bathrooms AND kitchens. Great patio downstairs and upstairs and an awesome rooftop deck and small pool. Comfortable furniture and beds. Very close to several restaurants, bars, gift shops, and SCUBA diving, snorkeling, and other water activities. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and all the locals were really nice as well. The house was also directly on the beach and had beautiful views. The only downside was that it was that the ocean right in front of the house was kind of an inlet, and there were a ton of flies and mosquitos everywhere. Definitely bring bug spray! We took a short water taxi to West Bay the last day, and the beaches were better and had less bugs. Nonetheless, the house was great and we had a great experience; also, it was less than a 3-minute walk to Sun Divers dive shop, which was great because we dove every day and the staff there was great as well. We would definitely recommend this house and property management company! :)

THE BEST!

Where to start…Bella Luna is AMAZING! From the start, Roatan Vacation Rentals was extremely helpful and responsive. Our flight was quite late, but our driver was waiting for us. Check in was smooth and Pedro (the caretaker) was waiting for us at the house to get us settled. Pedro was helpful and so kind. We loved seeing him every day! The location is PERFECT – just steps to the beach. The front yard is literally a beach! Ginger’s (fun beach restaurant and bar) is two doors down, Anita’s paddleboards is next door (have her take you paddle boarding and ask her about her banana cake – yum!) and a gelato shop on the other side. What more do you need?!? Plus, there are lots of great restaurants within a short walk. And the house – simply perfect. It is new, clean, upscale with everything you could ever want. We rented the full house and my two kids loved having their own space, and we could all hang out together on the rooftop deck. What a view from up there! Every detail of the house was carefully thought out. We were sad to leave but are already planning our next trip back to Roatan and Bella Luna!

Hidden Gem!

Loved our stay at Bella Luna! The location was amazing! Just steps away from the ocean and super close to shopping and many choices of restaurants, we walked every where. Roatan Vacation Rentals was super easy to work with and arranged our airport pickup. Pedro, the property caretaker took great care of the property and was very friendly. We quickly made friends with the neighbors - Anita, Dave, Delanie, Capt Winston and Capt Harvey. They were very resourceful and very friendly - we did an ATV tour, fishing, snorkeling and paddle boarding through them. We also got some fresh seafood from them and cooked it on the grill on our rooftop! Will definitely be making another trip to Roatan and staying at Bella Luna!

Beautiful beachfront home

This house is the perfect rental for Roatan. It’s right on the main beach in west end so you can walk everywhere and literally steps from the beach. The decks have amazing ocean views... and the house is so nice you feel all the comforts of home. The rooftop hangout deck is an added bonus with 360 degree views!! I’ll definateky be back

Beautiful house in prime location

I can not say enough about Bella Luna. The location in Half Moon Bay and house eminities were first class. The beach was literally 10 yards from our front door with a Ginger's Carribean Grill (Jeff the owner was super friendly) on one side and an ice cream parlor on the other. The house is outfitted with everything you would need and more. Beautifully constructed and decorated as well. The rooftop terrace gives views of both Half Moon Bay and West Bay. The breeze was steady with plenty of seating. We went to West Bay Beach one day to check out the resort area but upon coming back to Bella Luna we all decided we had made the best decision staying in the less crowded beach area with more than 20 restaurants available to us. I have been blessed with traveling to many places but Roatan topped them all.

BELLA LUNA WAS FANTASTIC!

We had the most wonderful stay at Roatan, Half Moon Bay, specifically Bella Luna. The house was wonderful and was located in the perfect location in relation to everything. We could snorkel right outside of the house. We could paddle board and kayak also. The food was wonderful and very reasonable priced and we learned what bellianas are and they are wonderful! We had a great experience fishing. The house was just unbelievable. Could not be more happy with the experience and we definitely plan to come back!
