We really enjoyed our stay. The location proximity to so many food and fun options was wonderful. Bummer about the elevator not working when we were ready to leave but stuff happens.

Perfect Location

The perfect girls trip! Beautiful view from balcony. Very easy walk to restaurants and shopping. Large pool. Wish the outside fire places were able to be used but I guess their seasonal. Beds were comfy, master was squeaky but did not bother anyone. We plan to return!

Very nice property and beautiful updated amenities to condo community.

We were thankful to find this property on a last minute basis, as our original reservation at another property, which was booked in August 2024, was double booked when we arrived. We had no place to spend our 10 day planned vacation and finding a similar property was nearly impossible with Spring Break, Easter Week, The Masters and Heritage Classic. The new updated pool area and fire pits are amazing, and the condo unit was very well stocked and comfortable. It was an excellent refuge from the stressful start to our vacation. Buddy and staff were so accommodating...and special thanks to the Gen Z wizard who was always responsive to our Baby Boomer television/cable needs.

Ocean One has a great location

Grounds, beach access, privacy, comfort all good. Nice updates to bedroom floors and bathroom but a deeper cleaning (cabinets sticky, Stains on bedskirt, overall place a little worn) would help immensely. Why not remove a lot of the unnecessary dated decor items and pillows and replace two large rugs wirh maybe a couple sisal or jute rugs and call it a day. You don’t need all the artificial plants, throw pillows and statue decor. Wall Art is nice and enough. Place would have a cleaner look.

Property had 1 million view. The condo was very clean. I believe there was a owners meeting or board meeting. I saw four older gentleman checking out the pool which had an issue checking out the new landscaping. The concerning part is when I passed one of these gentlemen yelling at people at the elevator I later passed those four in the parking lot again. They were yelling and used the F word as I walked by with my grandson to get ice cream. It was almost like they didn’t want any Renters. They just want owners in that particular complex.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We planned our vacation around Oyster Fest and the Lantern Parade and the location was perfect! The condo was comfortable and well stocked with anything we needed. The beach/ocean view is amazing. Having an en suite bath in both bedrooms is a definite plus. There was some construction taking place, but we didn't really hear much noise. Seashore Vacations staff went above and beyond when we arrived. Originally we had a unit on the 5th floor at Shorewood, but the elevator had been out of service and we had my 78year old mother traveling with us. Upon learning of our situation, we were provided with an alternate location (which was this unit) that better suited my mom's abilities. Upon our departure, my husband left behind a sweatshirt and the staff also were able to locate and return it to us!

Old, leaking appliances

Overall the location is great. The balcony was nice. Bedding ok, very dated, checked in on a Sunday and as I entered the kitchen there was a puddle of water on the floor. It was apparent that the icemaker line from the fridge had failed. Called maintenance, since it was a Sunday not much could be done. After being out on Monday, came back to find that the "maintenace person" had used painters tape and taped the lid down on the washing machine, which had not been used. Left the now soaked towel on the floor. I replaced the towewl with a new one and within an hour the water had found its way into the floor. And to reconfirm that it was the icemaker line, you could hear the line feeding the icemaker, but no ice was being made, we ran out of ice Monday night.

We feel that this review is very misleading. The guest did call our emergency line on Sunday to report the fridge was leaking. Like he mentioned in his review, not much could be done on Sunday because most of the companies we work with do not do service calls on Sunday. We called our appliance company to check it out and they found that the water leak was actually coming from the washing machine's drain line. For reference, the washing machine is located directly next to the refrigerator in Ocean One 409. The washing machine in the unit is not very old so we decided to have it repaired rather than replaced. The guest called our office and would not accept our answer that the problem was actually the washer drain line and was still certain that the ice maker was the issue. Before we could get the repair scheduled, the guest informed us that he had checked out early. We had our appliance company and our in-house maintenance staff check the ice maker again following the guest's check-out and still could not find any issue with it. The ice maker is still making ice and the washing machine's drain line has since been repaired

Reviewer Comments: My family has stayed at Ocean One in Hilton head for several years. It is an expensive place to stay, but we like the location and ease of making multiple family reservations. However, this unit was a disappointment. The kitchen was dirty with stains all over the outside of the refrigerator and not all of the dishes in the cabinet were clean. The furniture wasn't comfortable and the chairs slid on the floor when we sat down. The worst part was the master bedroom. There was a terrible mildew smell and when we called the rental company they didn't fix it. Instead, they sprayed Glade and offered to come back with more plug-in fresheners. The smell was there all week and made being in the room unpleasant. Overall, the cost of what we paid versus the accommodations was extremely disappointing. We won't be staying here again and will look into another complex for next year.

Rust on the refrigerator and stove. Mismatched floors everywhere. I have rented beautiful condos there before but this one needs a lot of work. Furniture is very worn out and the mattress in the master br very lumpy and uncountable ! To pay close to $1800 for four days stay should have been better.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo is in need of some maintenance repairs & upgrades. Friends of ours stayed at Ocean One as well, and their room was hundreds less and was much nicer! Our room has broken parts in the fridge doors, curtain rod in the living room falling down, shower stall was so dirty we bought cleaning products to scrub it. Understand upgrades are coming, but charge premium prices when it's in premium condition. Might have been a great place at Myrtle Beach, wouldn't say it's on par for Hilton Head. Also, do not appreciate sending Ortho to spray while we're staying there. We have our personal things all over and do not know who this person is walking through all of our areas. Nobody wants that poison sprayed all over our stuff and having to breathe it while on vacation. The condo is empty on Saturday from 10am to 4pm, plenty of time to treat the areas when no one if present or has personal belongings spread out all over. I also thought it was a HUGE inconvenience to have to drive to the office for our check-in package. It's only right down the street, but we had to make a few left hand turns across traffic with no traffic signals to get to the condo. Crossover day with traffic the way it is on Saturday's was crazy! Easily 45 min out of the way that time of the day. Absolutely NO reason to have to go to the office. Only other issue was I had asked a friend to drop my truck off from a bar that wasn't drinking so we could uber back safely later that night, and even with our parking pass hanging in the window, the night guard would not let them in and gave them a really hard time. What's a parking pass for then?

Since it was in the spring and the weather was cool, we didn't mind the pool being closed. But the dust on the balconies was pretty bad. Other than that we had a create time.

Overview

Loved everything about this property other than the bed. We slept in the master. It wasn’t very comfortable. It squeaked wirh every movement making it hard for 2 people. But other than that, no complaints! Thanks!
