We thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night/5-day stay at this stunning secluded house. Very high end touches yet relaxed vibe provided the perfect backdrop for an end-of-summer retreat.The host (Nicky) was incredibly helpful and responsive. No question was too big or too small.For the previous five summers, we've taken our quick getaway in Callicoon. While we love Callicoon the location of this house is better if you like to hike. All of our favorite hikes (Tusten, Walnut Mountain, Lake Superior, etc.) are closer to this house than Callicoon. The difference in time is not great - maybe 10 minutes each way - but for a short get-away we found that a little less time in the car was noticeable. And, when the day was done, we came home to luxury, which was great. The marked trails in the back was also nice for an after-summer stretch.If you're a runner, this house sits on a road that is part of a 4-mile loop where you can't get lost. Don't be fooled, though, in thinking the loop isn't long enough. These are four challenging miles with serious climbs and drops. Welcome to the Catskills!Two big thumbs up for this house, location and host (Nicky)!The photos I attached are of the outside of the house, the main floor, the woods in the back and the road that is good for running. The first day was a little overcast which is why some of the lighting isn't great. I also had to decrease the resolution to allow these to be uploaded to Vrbo. Hope the images still do the house justice.
