Surrounded by water, great for relaxing, fire pit for Smores. Great fishing, lots of wildlife. It's got everything. Entertainment is not that far away by boat or car. Grocery store is about a mile; shopping, snorkel, restaurants it all here we also have 4 kayaks 2 paddle
boards and 2 docks for your boats for the scallopers or the fishermen. We also have dolphins and manatees that like to come by and say hi, great for the kids to see and the and pool is not heated

The location, view, water access and cleanliness of interior was good. Our only interior complaint would be that the master bath shower head needs replacing.The cleanliness of exterior and grounds were poor but the host was responsive when we let him know. The pool was unusable and green when we got there. The pool person came the next day after check in and shocked the pool. Our stay was only 3 nights so the pool was basically unusable. Once the chemicals cleared third da, it still needed to be scrubbed. The fire pit was overgrown, the outdoor shower was broken, the door was off the hinges and left inside the shower bay and the walls green with mold. There was some moldy broken and furniture left on the grounds and the wind screen on the outdoor seating area blew torn and tattered. The house directly next store is a new build and there was heavy equipment and noise but not until the day we checked out likely because of the rain. Again, the interior was clean and spacious as advertised but the exterior conditions other than the view were unfortunately a disappointment.

Found some bugs inside. However the house is directly on the water so I know that happens. The view was priceless. Beautiful sunset every night. Kayaks were nice. Great condition. Pool was beautiful. We were able to hang out in the backyard for hours.

Beautiful home/Excellent Location

We had a wonderful week at Gunters Paradise! The home is beautiful and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The house is in a quiet area, but close to everything you need. Lovely views!

A rough start...... but a nice visit

Had some initial problems with a broken dishwasher, garbage disposal, and coffee maker, some things likely the result of post-hurricane damage. To Frank's credit, he was responsive and replaced these items, and addressed our concerns right away..... appreciated. We thought a Guest book is needed, explaining for example, how the tv works, check-out procedures, etc. The house sits on a lovely lot, tho the house inside is some dated, and in need of some attention. Overall, a nice visit, in a great part of Florida.

Truly Paradise

Gunther’s was beautiful, spacious, and overall very clean. The dock was perfect, the outdoor space was very nice as well. The pool needed a good scrub and cleaning, but overall the stay was worth it.

Not newly renovated

The home’s location is the absolute best and we stayed here last year for that reason. However, there are things around the house still broken and worn out from last year (the outdoor shower is worn out, the outside gazebo is still missing a roof, the water faucets throw water out, the wine cooler is broken, the pool tiles are still gross and the pool is cloudy, still cinderblocks in the closet from last year, etc.). There’s just a lack of care in the home and you can tell this house is just a money making side gig. The sheets aren’t even cotton (polyester). For the price, it’s sub par. We won’t stay again.

Wonderful

We rented the property for 35 days and have alraedy revnted again next year. This was our first year renting in Crystal river. The past 10 years we went to the Keys for for memorial day and early June. We have rented many places over the years but my husband I agreed this was the most comfortable and the view and location are perfect. Frank was responsive and helpful. The kitchen is well stocked and appliances are all new. No bad comments.

Wonderful family getaway

Great Property To See The Manatees

Property was fantastic. The use of paddle boards and kayaks was great to see the manatees. Property location was perfect. Kitchen is well stocked. Property is clean.

Amazing Views

We had a great time! We spent most days fishing, and we did a little kayaking, too! We were able to see manatees and dolphins from the dock! The location is great with plenty of delicious seafood close by. My only negative comment would be that I wish the patio furniture had umbrellas, but there was plenty of shade throughout the day. It was a wonderful experience, and we would happily stay again!

Best family vacation

Cons: I received an email for our stay a day or so before but did not get the code to the property lockbox, messaged Frank the owner at 7pm right before our flight took off from DTW to TPA and by the time we got to the house at 1:30am (husband and the kiddos and I) still had not received the code, so we sat there so frustrated that no one was responding until about a half hour later with the code.. after a long flight we were so excited of the thought of getting into the hot tub then realized there isn’t a heater in hot (cold) tub so that was a real bummer! No extra blankets and a short supply of TP lol and 3 days into our vacay, the vacation rental across the water was occupied by about 10 f-bombing teenagers on spring break that ruined our peaceful relaxing scene Pros: if you’re looking for a beautiful, quiet (for a couple days at least) location this is 10/10 amazing!! Gunter’s paradise is absolutely gorgeous from the home to the pool and your backyard being manatees playground. We fished, paddle boarded/kayaked, it literally feels like paradise and we are all so thankful to have been able to spend a few days here and look forward to coming back! There is no better spot 🌴

Crystal River Paradise

We booked a month-long stay during manatee season in this property, but had to leave one week early due to the loss of a dear friend back home. We really enjoyed the stay for many reasons. PROS: The location cannot be beat! The house is on Kings Bay, with dock access on two sides, and nice outdoor space to enjoy for dining, + a fire pit for nighttime ambiance and hot dog / marshmallow roasting. The kitchen is well equipped, and very spacious, and had utensils and some basic cooking supplies (oil, salt, pepper, coffee, sugar, etc) There were ample small appliances in the kitchen in good condition and easy to use. The owner left supplies that made keeping up on the long-stay housekeeping easy. The master suite was deluxe with a walk-in, open shower that had plenty of hot water, and a large walk-in closet. (We never had any problem having hot water anywhere in the house!) There was plenty of space to store everything. The guest bedroom was also large, with plenty of storage, while the third bedroom was smaller. The living room was large, plenty of seating and each room had smart TV's. We were very pleased with the accommodation! Con: We were a little confused by the TV's operations, but the host came over the first night and helped us figure out the main TV and we were able to use it the rest of our stay. (operator error :-) Use of the Kayaks was a wonderful addition to this home - we used them 5 times during our stay, and the paddle boards as well. We entered and exited the kayaks from the back side of the front dock and had no issues. The paddling with the manatees is magical and the reason we came to Crystal River, and we were not disappointed. We would return to Frank's house without hesitation! (I tried to include my photos, but couldn't figure out how to make that work. Be reassured: The home was clean and easy to enjoy during our stay. )

DO NOT RENT THIS HOUSE!!

From the beginning, we didn't have code to get into house. Difficult getting a hold of owners. The pool was very dirty. We checked in on Friday and when I called about the code I also told them about the pool. They said they would send someone. They didn't come until Wednesday! They house was full of bugs and grime when we walked in. I had to clean all the flat surfaces and sweep up roaches. The bathroom with the bath tub, the tub was full of bugs and dirty. We didn't use it. I wasnt there to be a cleaning lady. The ice maker was totally froze up had to take apart chip the ice out. All of the outside furniture was unusable it was either full of mold or the seats were ripped. There was NO hot water. They only way to get any hot water was to flush the toilet and that only lasted for a minute. You had to keep flushing. When i contacted the owners about the water it took them several hours to come to the house they didn't introduce them selves they just said we're here to try and fix the water and came in. They cleaned some filters and then left. Then we had no hot water even when you flushed. Never told us what was going on, if they were coming back nothing! Nothing from them all day. The next morning I text them they said they got a plumber coming sometime in the afternoon. Her husband was supposed to come to the house so we could talk to him but couldn't give us any kind of time frame. We waited 2 hours and nothing. We had enough packed up and left. The headline they have for this listing is "recently renovated" that is a lie. The most recent thing in the house is half the floor. The rest has been used and abused! The owners do not care about this house. The wife just kept complaining about how she wanted to sell it but the husband didn't. The location is the only real plus to this house. Do not waste your money or your precious vacation time here!

Amazing location with a beautiful view

We had an amazing experience renting this property. We watched the sunrise and sunset daily on the bay. The kayaks and paddle boards on the property were great for exploring the bay nearby. We even kayaked over to three sisters spring. Frank was quick to respond to any questions we had and is a great host.
