Perfect Place To Stay

Beautifully managed property with an excellent staff. The grounds around our villa were gorgeous and Casa Del Mar was perfect for our group of 3 couples. We all thoroughly enjoyed our first time in Ambergris Caye. We will definitely be coming back here to stay again.

Beautiful place

This condo was perfect for us. The property grounds were beautifully maintained and the caretaker was very helpful. The house was clean, comfortable with a gorgeous view and and in a quiet but convenient location. Met local guide Clinton when we arrived and he and his crew made our trip. We were so happy with him we used him for 2 snorkeling excursions and a trip to Xunantunich and cave tubing.

Excellent place to stay

A private slice of heaven. One of 4 villas that share a sweet salt water pool and beach front. Although you can't really swim or snorkel directly off the beach because it's kind of mucky and full of sea grass in places on this side of the caye there are spots close by you can kayak out to reef. We were well cared for by Nevia and Harley.

Great Get Away

This the 2nd time we have stayed at this property! Our last stay was prior to the addition to the kitchen and the added space on the main floor. This is a fantastic property, the managers are great and were there to answer questions. The pool is always clean and big enough for everyone. Being right on the beach is wonderful for daily walks! We would absolutely recommend this property.

Villa Del Mar was spacious and loved that each room had its own bathroom! The caretakers were incredible and provided us with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We used many of the restaurant recommendations from the Villa and we were not disappointed with any of them! Despite the fact that we couldn’t swim in the ocean water that we looked out over, it was not far to secret beach and the pool was perfect. Our snorkeling tour with Ali Mermaid tour group was spectacular and was the best day trip that we took while in Belize. Thank you!

Thank you for your lovely review. We are very lucky with our caretaker Harly and Vicky who looks after housekeeping. Clinton and his crew from Ali Mermaid never disappoint. Restaurants on the island we think are one of its best features ! Glad you enjoyed the pool and Secret Beach, the Sargassum is a very unfortunate natural problem, which can come and go with the change of the weather! Thanks again, Sue and Martin

Bad weather but great service

My family of 6 stayed at Los Encantos for 3 days over the New Year's holiday and while the weather wasn't great, the property and the service was. The property manager and caretaker took care of all of our needs, which included food deliveries before we arrived, transportation to/from the airport and coordination of our golf cart deliveries. Based on the property, the location and the excellent on-site team, I would highly recommend Los Encantos for any single or multi-family vacation.

Amazing stay!!

Great house and great location!! We have stayed on this side, the opposite side and around the airport. This spot has by far been our favorite and the house had the best beach area for the kiddo. Walking right out of our door to good sand and then 10-25 years fk the beach was great! House was super spacious and super cute!! We loved all the kitchen stuff supplied and it made it easy for cooking breakfast. Harley is also great! He’s out and about all the time and helps with everything.

Perfect week on the Cay October 2024

Property was awesome very well kept. House has everything you need for cooking or just hanging out. Harley is awesome and very knowledgeable about what to do and contacting excursion people. Clinton and the excursion group was great. Also Harley’s wife makes some excellent dinners if you just want to stay in. Taxi to and from airport all included and the golf cart was waiting for us at the property. They just made everything flow..

Beautiful, private, and quiet surroundings in this home on the Beach

We had a wonderful visit, and the house was as advertised. Nevia and Harley were very personable caretakers, and Nevia made us a wonderful dinner the first night of our arrival which we ate for days, so much food! The temperature was perfect while we were there also. Clinton was our excursion and history guru extraordinaire when he took us to Altun Ha and then cave tubing in the afternoon, what an amazing day! Secrets beach was another fun day, a bar on the beach with tables literally out in the water. We had a blast and will be back again to Belize in the future!

Fantastic Beach Vacation Spot!

The house was perfect for our girls trip. Very spacious and the kitchen was really well stocked. The hammock on the deck was absolutely perfect for sitting in while watching the sun rise. The pool is literally steps away from the house which is so convenient. The property managers were awesome setting up our flights from Belize City and our golf cart (you definitely need a golf cart) as well as hooking us up with a tour guide to snorkel and visit Caye Caulker. Carly and Vicki do an amazing job of keeping the house and the grounds in perfect order. We would absolutely come back to Los Encantos!

Perfect

Stayed in Villa Del Mar for two weeks. The first, just my wife and I, the second with two other couples. Can't believe how relaxed I am still. Pictures of Los Encantos on the VRBO site does not do the house justice! Caretakers, Raquel and Sergio are awesome and the pups Poppy and Encanta are charming. Genie is a fantastic dive master. We rented a golf cart for most of the stay and it proved invaluable. Overall, one of the best vacations we have ever taken!!!

Great Getaway!

From the time of booking, we were impressed with Los Encantos. We had never traveled to Belize and Kristie Rodriguez from guest services really helped us out by promptly and kindly answering all our questions. Thank you!! And, the poperty was even more beautiful than the online pictures! Harley took such great care of the property and all our needs. With the the pool, beautiful palapa and pier right there, it felt like we were on a luxury island with beautiful views from the upper and lower decks. Finally, the recommended boat trip with Clinton was well worth the money. Great vacation all around!

Relaxing with friends

We had such a great time! My husband and I were with 2 other couples. I loved the view from the top porch-very relaxing. Vicky was sweet and Harley was very helpful. The men loved to fish off the dock and even caught some bone fish. It was very windy for a few days and Harley kept the beach very clean. The beds were comfortable and having Vicky give us clean towels was great. She even washed and folded some of our clothes! I wish we could of stayed longer-10 days went by too fast.

Perfect paradise

Absolutely loved this house! It was nice and spacious, with beautiful views of the ocean. I sat out every morning on the balcony for my morning coffee. Kitchen was well stocked and loved all the towels provided. The only addition I would make is it would have been nice to have a washing machine. The staff communicated well. Harley greeted us and checked on us daily. His wife made us a fabulous dinner! Highly recommend! The property hosts arranged for pick up and drop off from the water taxi terminal. They arranged a golf cart at the house when we arrived. Overall, a very nice experience and I would definitely recommend.

Thank you for your review. We are pleased that you enjoyed our villa and all that it offers, especially the sea view. We spend a lot of time on the balcony enjoying the ever changing scene! We do offer a laundry service through our housekeeper, which she is more than happy to do on request. We are very pleased that all the arrangements made on your behalf were as you wanted. It’s nice to hear that Harley, who has a lot of local knowledge, checked in with you and that his wife Nevia cooked you a meal. She is a very talented cook, her key lime pie is our favourite. Thanks again for your review, Sue and Martin

Beautiful Views, Little Hospitality

Overall, this was a great location to unwind and relax. It was quiet, visually stunning, peaceful and tranquil. What was lacking was the hospitality. As the sole Black folks who were staying in these villas at the time, we got looks, stares (even my children) and the cold shoulder from Harley, who works there). One of the property managers only engaged with us to implore us to book tours. We eventually did book tours but on our own, because we felt more comfortable. Hospitality can be greatly improved at this location. I will return to Belize, but I will not stay here due to how we were treated overall.

We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed our peaceful location on this tranquil and multi-culturally diverse island. We have found that our guests prefer, as you suggested a quiet and peaceful getaway, therefore we try to respect our guests privacy during their stay, but are only a phone call away if we are needed. This is approach is not ideal for everyone who might desire a more interactive guest experience, then maybe a hotel would be more appropriate. Thank you for sharing your thoughts as this and the 32 other reviews are helpful for future guests.

As Beautiful as the Pictures

This was one of the best managed and most beautiful properties that we have rented through vrbo. The 2 storey 3 bedroom 4 bath Belizian villa was everything that we hoped for. Located right on the beach with an unrestricted view of the Caribbean Sea, bonefish and tarpon flats out front. The well maintained property featured a central courtyard with large saltwater pool and area to lounge in the sun. This is a very quiet remote property that is close to some great restaurants and grocery store. From the outset, our conversations with the owner were helpful, friendly and informative. The property management group made all of the arrangements for our pick up and drop off at the airport and arranged for a golf cart to be dropped off for our use while on the island. What a great spot. We will be returning.
