We had a lovely week relaxing at the cottage. The access to the pond is perfect. We enjoyed exploring the pond and the highlight was kayaking with a family of loons. The cottage is cozy, well-equipped and a bit quirky in a vintage sort of way. It makes it feel like a "real" Maine lake cottage. The best part for us was the fully fenced yard and shoreline area for our pup. He had a blast. The location is very convenient - just 6 minutes into downtown Bethel, grocery store and ice cream at the Sugar Shack. We would love to come back!

Awesome place to stay with family & pups!

We had a wonderful week on Songo Pond! The house is comfortable and has everything you need. The fenced yard is perfect for dogs. My pups enjoyed swimming and playing fetch in the pond. We enjoyed kayaking and swimming as well. My sons also went fishing. There are kayaks and a canoe & floats available to use. The house is in a great location to town yet there is privacy.

We loved every minute from Saturday to Saturday! Rain, sunshine, wind: all of it! Not a dull day. All the items we needed were supplied: kayaks, canoe, life jackets. We wanted for nothing. I highly recommend!!

Beautiful Blueberry Cove!!

We love Blueberry cove! It’s our 4th time staying there we like it so much. Very clean and well stocked but not cluttered, plenty of room for your own things. The yard and fire pit are spacious and lovely. The fenced in yard is great for a dog. The kayaks are good and the cove is very well situated. The host is excellent with communication.

Perfect Comfy Home, Great Fenced Yard, Quiet Lake

This is our second year here and it was beautiful, both times. Communication was always quick and kind. The house is homey and well equipped. The beds and furniture are super comfy. The wifi works great. Our dog loves the fenced in yard for running and playing. This is truly a peaceful haven and we can't wait to return.

Great lakefront spot!

This is our second stay at this property and it was again perfect for our needs - our dog loved the fenced yard and we loved the docks and having the boats (canoe and kayaks) available for use. We look forward to returning next year!

Great dog friendly cottage!

Erika’s cottage was perfect for our stay. The fenced in yard is great for dogs and ours loved to swim in the pond. The house had the basics and the town of Bethel is so close which was great. We would definitely stay here again!

Great stay

As usual we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were able to get together with family and enjoyed getting take-out at the Good Food store, pastries at Gemini , and having dinner at the Bethel Inn. The weather was great--cool nights and pleasant days. Thanks Erika PS. TV was no problem. It would be helpful to specify which trash can is for recycles--we were confused.

Very nice lake setting.

We enjoyed our stay at the Blueberry Cottage on Songo Pond.The cottage is on the small side and we spent most of our time outside enjoying the lake. We would love to come back next year.

Quiet and cozy

Nice, dog friendly property on the water that had everything needed to enjoy our vacation. Canoe and kayaks were a nice feature. Had a nice time by the fire pit.

Autumn Bliss in Bethel

This is my 3rd time staying at Blueberry Cove, it is a beautiful property, well kept and very cozy. The fenced in yard is roomy and fenced up to the waters edge making it perfect if you’re travelling with a dog. It’s close to town but very quiet on the pond. The host is very easy to communicate with and prompt to answer questions. They provide kayaks and a canoe that are easily launched from the boat dock. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans and utensils and the beds and pillows are newer and comfortable. I highly recommend this property and look forward to staying there again.

We had a great week at this rental! It was our second time staying here. The location is perfect and we love being right on the water. The fenced in yard is perfect for the dog. The house has everything you need to be comfortable and we would definitely stay again

Great spot by Songo Pond

I have family in Bethel so we needed a close spot to hang out. 3 adults and 1 child stayed comfortably, any more could feel a little crowded because the house is small - but very cute. The picnic table outside became our central eating spot. Songo Pond has clear water (not too much algae) and wasn’t busy with motor boats. There’s no beach but the rocks are not bad off the dock in the shallow area.

Exactly as pictured and perfect for dog

The home and property is exactly as pictured - not fancy, but very clean and the lake front is so pretty! It was also really great to have a fenced yard so we could relax on the dock without watching the dog every second! It was also very nice to have the kayaks and canoe as we didn't use them enough that we could have justified renting them, but had a few fun outings with them. The town is just a five minute drive and has a good basic grocery store along with a lovely coffee shop. We would be glad to return to this home!

Mountain Getaway has It All

Songo Pond was a perfect location for so many activities in the Bethel area. Blueberry Cove was also the ideal spot for just hanging out on a quiet day; very peaceful and idyllic lakeside retreat. The canoe and 3 kayaks plus 2 docks and a float made sure we got in lots of lake time. Had to share cove with loons and a heron. The cottage was well equipped and all appliances were operational. A comfortable living room + a Smart TV were welcome on a long rainy afternoon.

3rd time as mich of acharm as the 1st and 2nd

We stay here because the owners are very understanding of pets as family. Our family has many paws and they are always accommodating and understanding. They have the water sports supplies you need, and are always quick to answer questions on the fly. The instructions and guidelines are well defined, and not suffocating. This place is ideal for us. We go on vacation to get away from tourists, we live in a seaside community. Away from it all is just where we end up staying here.

This property is on the water and has one of the largest open lawns for kids and dogs to run and play. It is even fenced in to keep your pets contained. It is simple and will meet your family vacation needs. **Please note pet fee is per pet, per stay.**
