Great place and great location.

The place was great. The location was perfect. The condo had a nice outdoor and indoor pool. Very quiet place, and everyone was friendly. Would come and stay again.

Great for Families

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed with our daughter and her family of 3 plus our other 3 grandkids. Children's ages were 2, 8, 12, and 13. We found the location ideal, as it was close to grocery, restaurants, other activities, and of course, the beautiful oceanfront. Our unit was steps from the pool and near the short boardwalk to the beach. Parking was easy and convenient to the unit. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils and dishes, pots and pans, which was nice. This stay was enjoyable except for one major aspect: the King mattress in the larger bedroom was very uncomfortable. I contacted the office after the first night. They offered to have us move to another unit, but as there were 8 of us including many kids, that was not feasible. Also, we really liked the unit and location! I asked for a replacement mattress since I felt the poor sleep was not compatible with the price we were paying for a four night stay. The result was after 3 nights, on the morning of our final night, handymen came and took the mattress off and discovered broken boards which they replaced. While I appreciate their work, it seemed too little too late. The mattress was improved by the new boards but still pretty uncomfortable. I had been told a topper was ordered but it was never delivered. If I had at least been offered a discount/refund, I would have felt better about the experience. The unit was also lacking any amenities, which I knew beforehand, but again, in my experience in short stays all around Florida and the East Coast, I have never paid so much to receive so few amenities, on top of waking up every day in pain due to the mattress. All in all, I would recommend this unit but with caution - perhaps someone with a younger back would be okay with it. I would give 4/5 stars, removing one for the mattress and lack of amenities/value for the price.

Very Pleased

We had a great time at Colony Reef. Room was as described and beach access was perfect. We had to leave a little early due to a forecasted hurricane, but the office staff was very helpful and accommodating.

Excellent stay and very comfortable condo!

The Colony Reef Club was an ideal location for our spring break. Condo 1105 was very comfortable, very clean and up to date with decor and amenities. Proximity to the pool and beach couldn't be topped, and it's just far enough away from the main action of St. Augustine Beach. The beach was beautiful and plenty of space for all of us to maintain distance. I would highly recommend this property for families.

The grounds where kept up very well. The only negative. The walk to the beach was longer than expected for a 88 year old in the way it was described.

Nice beach

Pros - short walk to beautiful soft sand. Cons - listing says newly renovated, property was dated and small. One roll of TP, no dish soap, no coffee filters and no extra blankets. Not quite what we had hoped for.

Location!

The overall experience was fantastic. Location was perfect. Beaches wonderful. Amenities at condo were great for kids. Unit itself adequate but needs some TLC. Bring what you need since condo supplies nothing. We flew in so it was difficult to bring what we needed for beach. Spent unnecessary money on supplies. Then we had to leave it all behind or throw it away.

My only complaint would be some late night noise. There is security after hours, but I wasn’t sure how to contact them to complain. It was sporadic and not terribly bothersome, but was the night before we left and we were trying to get a good night’s sleep!

Enjoyed but fell short of a few things.

Was clean on arrival. Would have “liked” a larger bowl for making pancakes, more bath towels than “just enough” for those staying, larger frying pan for more than 2 people, mattresses could use replacements on all beds and second bathroom ceiling needs serious Maintenance attention. Unable to take two showers at the same time due to lack of hot water and dishwasher smells of burned plastic when washing. The location was perfect despite poor DIY improvements in the condo. The view of the outdoor pool you see in photos is breathtaking yet it is not heated so unusable during our stay.

Convenient Location

Reviewer Comments: This property is in a great location to the beach access and outdoor pool, we are very glad we chose this unit as we had little ones with us and it made it much easier to come back to the condo quickly. The property was decently cleaned, had to move a dresser to get something dropped, and it was dirty behind it. Bedding, towels and surfaces were all clean. It would have made the trip more convenient if we would have had more than 1 bath towel per person and if beach towels would have been provided. We flew to FL so didn't have the luxury of packing those items. I know salt water/air plays havoc on things close to it, but the master bedroom ceiling fan was extremely loud as was the washing machine. We came specifically for a concert at the amphitheater and the location was great for this, as was our day trip into the town of St Augustine. The location is very central to a lot restaurants and grocery stores also.

We have stayed in two other condos and this was by far the nicest and most well appointed one. The only real issue we had was the small dining table for a unit that slept 9. Overall, a great stay!

Furniture in the unit was very comfortable and lots of outdoor seating. Only drawbacks were the screen doors both front and back didn't work properly and there were about 6-7 lightbulbs out in the place. Otherwise, I would have given this place a 5-star rating.

Pool was wonderful and hot tub comfortable. 1105 had very nice patio furniture along with an ice cold AC. I’d like to have much better mattress in the master king given its gold status but the coffee maker worked so maybe we broke even.Bottom line——. I’ve stayed in many,many units over the decades but this one is a great ground floor choice.

Family fun

We had a great time! The amenities were in great condition! My only complaint was the dampness in the condo. Towels and hanging clothes never dried even things that were dry felt wet the next morning. Other than that it was the perfect location with easy beach access and only 15 min from downtown! We had a blast and will definitely be back.
