Our family spent a wonderful Thanksgiving week at the Blue Dolphin/Out of this World beach house. Peace Vacations is an exceptional host. They are proactive in helping plan your stay, from beach equipment to groceries delivered and put away ahead of your arrival. We had a small electrical issue in one room and it was resolved the same day. The house has ample room for private time and family gatherings, with beautiful ocean views from every room. The porches were plentiful and accommodating with appropriately placed outdoor furnishings. While the home could use some general updating, it is off-season and it met our needs very well, including preparing a large Thanksgiving Feast for our family. The kitchen has ample space for multiple cooks. Thank you for a lovely stay in Debordieu.

This is a fabulous home in a great location. Furnishings and layout are very comfortable and make stays with large groups easy. However, the home is infested with bats. The smell is quite strong. We are sure that the property managers will tackle this problem right away.

Large and comfortable. Nicely decorated and kitchen well equipped.Views were wonderful. We only had 7 adults and 2 children less than three years. Our family loved Debordieu and plan to return, likely to the Blue Dolphin.

We have stayed in Blue Dolphin for five or six years. It is an exceptional house and fits our needs very well. The house was in excellent condition. We were pleased at the availability of the second refrigerator down stairs. A tremendous help. Only one suggestion that would be beneficial and that is to to have HVAC condensate drains diverted from dripping on the concrete pad under the house (beach side) drip into the sand outside. We look forward to staying in Blue Dolphin in 2023.

We've rented this house for several years (maybe 10?) and it is in dire need of updating. The kitchen appliances barely work. (the panel on the oven doesn't work. the refrigerator froze our veggies. The ice maker needs to be cleaned. the kitchen faucet leaks.) the bed cover in the master suite is the same one from maybe 15 years ago? The pillows are flat. It's our favorite spot on the beach and we have great memories there.. but it really needs some love.

This house had mixed reviews for our family. Given the property is on the water and that it is on DeBordieu, for the price it really needs to have some work done to it. First the positives: great location on the island, beautiful views from the family room, very nice layout, house has some very good bones so to speak so structurally and geographically its great! The bedrooms were a nice size, water pressure was good, very convenient to the beach. And the beach was excellent. However with that said, the home needs a lot of work and a lot of basic general clean up. First it needs a really good cleaning and lot of basic restoration. There are a lot of cobwebs in the vaulted ceiling, there were a lot of dead bugs in the floor when we arrived that we had to clean up, several of the windows and doors won't close so bugs come in at night, the underneath parking area was a mess and we had to straighten that up in order to park and the furniture, particularly in the family room was dirty and needs to be replaced. We had to get sheets to put over the sofa, love seat and chairs. Also the chairs at the small round table in the family room are very worn. From a repair stand point, the refrigerator leaked water down the front constantly and the shelving both in the refrigerator and on the refrigerator doors are broken making storage tough. The toilet seat in the 1/2 bath on the top flor is broken, the ice machine quit working towards the end of the stay and at the beginning of the stay we had to call maintenance to come fix one of the air condition units. Finally the would suggest that the trees and bushes be trimmed back coming into the driveway and in the parking area for better access and visibility down DeBordieu Blvd.to pull out of the drive way. That about covers it. Overall our stay was okay, but would have expected more given the price for the week, as compared to other places of similar statue we have rented over the years.

Fabulous week!

We spent the week at Blue Dolphin with my almost 90 year old mother, as well as our 11 and 14 year old grandkids. The accommodations were great for all ages. There was a bedroom with a lower bed and a bathroom shower with a low threshold for mom, as well as an elevator. The kitchen was large and well equipped. There were beautiful views from every window.

Spring break at Blue Dolphin

Our family has enjoyed lovely beach homes throughout the south and the United States, but undoubtedly the Blue Dolphin is the most gracious in design and comfort of all the ocean front homes we have rented. From the moment you exit the second level elevator you are met with an incredible view from the great room. Whether on a sofa in the great room or a rocker on the porch, you find the ocean views from north to south simply stunning. Morning coffee at sunrise in the rockers or evening cocktails at sunset are moments to remember. Each room is well appointed and it is obvious from the time you arrive that this coastal home was designed for entertainment and relaxation. This is a home for adults and children with splendid amenities including a 65" flat screen tv, multiple porches with rockers and cushy sofas that accommodate an entire family. There is a joggling board that the children love and is great for picture memories. Glass doors exit to the ocean from the first level den and from multiple bedrooms to a lovely quiet beach. Our family members were constantly roaming throughout the house, which has ample room for privacy as well as convivial living. We have already booked the Blue Dolphin for next year. A wonderful stay at Blue Dolphin

We chose to stay at the Blue Dolphin for our wedding weekend and could not be happier with our decision! A few family members and members from our wedding party stayed with us as well, and there was plenty of room. It was so convenient to have everyone in the same place. The setup of the Blue Dolphin is perfect! There is plenty of room to entertain. It would be great for a family vacation as well. It offers everyone their own space but everyone is still together. Each of the rooms are beautifully decorated and has a connecting bathroom and porch. It has a game room downstairs that is perfect for all ages. There are numerous porch accesses on each floor so you cannot miss the oceanfront view! There is also an elevator that came in handy for our elderly guest. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for the perfect getaway. Everything you need is here! We cannot wait until our next stay at the Blue Dolphin!!
