Beautiful Spot, But the House Needs Major Attention

The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was somewhat dirty.
I was very happy with the location.
I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

The location of this beach house was excellent, but the property itself really needs attention. Several of the beach chairs were broken, part of the fence had a broken panel, and the walkway to the beach was overgrown. The pool area was also poorly maintained and overgrown. It was frustrating to see the neighboring homes—rented by the same company—well kept, while this one was not. Although we saw the pool crew on site, the pool itself was not cleaned very well.Inside, we ran into multiple issues. Out of six bathrooms, one toilet had a broken seal that required lifting the lid to refill, and another ran constantly. The kitchen had an ant problem, and the sofa had noticeable stains that made it feel unclean. The second dishwasher didn’t work (and was filled with dirty dishes upon arrival), and the freestanding ice maker was also broken.Other problems included loose deck boards, a broken pool safety railing, and stained bedspreads that looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. To make matters worse, the property did not look like the photos advertised. The listing should be updated so guests are not misled or disappointed by the misrepresentation.This house has a lot of potential, but in its current state of maintenance and cleanliness, it was very disappointing for the price we paid.
