I have hundreds of childhood memories of being raised at the old Camp Fairwood from camping to sailing. I currently live in Alaska but it has been my dream to own a little piece of Torch and I am now sharing my dream with you. Enjoy walking in the past amongst the old hard woods and crystal clear waters of Torch Lake. The sunsets will let you forget that there is any time but the moment. I am sure it will rejuvenate you as it does the same for me.

Grandma's Cottage is a one of kind opportunity to turn back the clock where nothing is more important than enjoying your family and friends in the midst of crystal clear blue water and unbelievable sunsets. This cottage provides a perfect 'Haven' for relaxing, enjoying fun-filled days on the water, and peaceful reflective evenings watching the sunset around a new beautiful flagstone patio/firepit outdoor firepit. You can even grill your entire dinner with a built-in grill at the fire pit. Enjoy the evening by the fireside in the surroundings of a Hard Wood forest and listening to the lapping of the waves snug in the serenity of Grandma's Cottage.

If you do feel the need to venture out, there are so many places to go. Travel by car or boat to Brownwood Acres to enjoy some local traditional fun of flea markets on Sunday and shopping on the weekends. Alden and Bellaire are charming small towns close by with their own entertainment, shopping, and activities. Golfing is available at Shanty with its own 'Legend' designed by Arnold Palmer. The water sports are endless from snorkeling, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, tubing, wakeboarding, water skiing, and best of all, swimming!

Grab your coffee in the morning and enjoy the beautiful morning hours on the lake. Fill your days with as much activity as you desire. Settle back in the evenings and watch the awesome sunsets that Torch Lake has to offer. When the day is done, enjoy the peace and solitude that Grandma's Cottage has to offer with the natural wood interior, fieldstone fireplace and the comforts of truly being on an unforgettable vacation. The only hard part is leaving this paradise but we do hope you return to build more memories to last a lifetime.

Grandma's cottage has beautiful 100' private lake frontage in the surroundings of Cedar and Birch hardwoods. It offers your own 90 ft. dock, boat lift (3500 lbs), beautiful newly built patio and a secure mooring ball. The east side of Torch lends itself to unforgettable sunsets and easy access around the lake. On sunny days, the lake has a wide array of hues of blue that are reminiscent of the Caribbean. Torch Lake is the largest lake in Michigan (18 miles long and 2 miles wide) and is part of a chain of lakes that allows boating from Elk Rapids to Bellaire. You are not far from Dewitt's Marina, Bellaire, Alden, and Brownwood Acres.

Grandma's Cottage is very unique with the knotty pine interior and furnishings. Everything is clean and spotless just as Grandma would have it. It is set up with 2 bedrooms with enough sleeping for 6 people. There is an enclosed outdoor porch that looks out to the lake where you can enjoy breakfast while feasting your eyes on the third Most Beautiful Lake in the World, recognized by National Geographic Magazine. In the summer of 2016, Grandma's Cottage will now offer wireless internet, outdoor deck with patio furniture, newly renovated flagstone patio/fire pit with walkways to cabin and water. Also, additional parking will be available.
