20TH YEAR OF VACATIONING IN KEY WEST

After they put the palm trees in the waterfront park, this condo is one of the few left with great views of the harbor and sunset from anywhere in the condo. It was very clean and well equipped. The twin beds are a little small for adults, but overall one of my favorite ones I've stayed in.

Loved It!

Sunset Dalite is a lovely condo in a fabulous location. The condo itself was clean, modern and well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The building was very quiet and located in the perfect spot for us. It was only a 5-7 minute walk to upper Duval St., but removed enough to be very peaceful with beautiful water views. We received excellent communication from the property management about check-in. We arrived on a Saturday (when the office was closed), but Stacy gave us all the information we needed to retrieve everything we needed to access the property. We will definitely stay here again the next time we come to Paradise!

Great Vaca in Key West

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Vacation was great, excellent location, condo was very clean, easy check in. View of sunset makes it amazing. Couple things I would fix with condo is new ceiling fans, when on high which they need to be make it sounds like a bowl of rice crispies snap, crackling and popping. The arm of the patio chair was also broken and there weren't any kitchen towels. So really no complaints overall! Love staying in this complex and have for many years.

Deceptive Listing Details

There were so many wonderful things about this unit, but the 2 major issues overshadowed them. The fact that almost every incoming airplane, up to 33 per day according to the airport, flew low directly over the deck and roof, made this unit extremely noisy. It was often too noisy to sit on the deck as the planes often approached within 2 minutes of each other. THE FLIGHT PATH ISSUE WAS NOT MENTIONED IN THE LISTING. Dishonest. The other major issue was the deceptive listing photo of the CRUISE SHIP location. It is NOT off to the side mostly out of view. Every day they sit directly in front of the deck completely obscuring the view of the ocean. They often arrive early morning and don't leave until 5:00 p.m. At least we were able to watch the sunsets without obstruction (they have to leave before that time) but the noisy planes remained awful. It should be noted that there is no access to the boardwalk directly in front of this building. The positives include a spacious beautifully decorated and furnished unit, a well-lit bathroom, very comfortable master bed, ample kitchen condiments and bathroom soaps, etc. There was no hand dishwashing soap so we left the one we bought along with a few new spices.

Our party of four (2-couples) had reservations at a different location in the Truman Annex.Lucky for us we were upgraded to Sunset Daylight condo. The condo has beautiful views right off the patio that we enjoyed watching the sunset every night. The condo was fully packed with everything that was needed. The walking was pretty easy to shop, eat and enjoy the town. Nice pool. I do have a few suggestion that needs to be addressed. There needs to be a second set of keys to allow each couple the ability to access the condo if they’re on different activities. The Tub in the main bathroom needs a plumber for the drain clogged up. The bathtub in the master bathroom jets was not working. The mstrbthrm Shower was amazing.Both the doors going out onto the patio have hurricane deadbolt locks and the tiny little notice that reads “do not use this lock”needs to be Bigger because if you don’t read the notice and use the deadbolt lock it will lock the door for good. Even though I’m writing this these issues didn’t keep us from enjoying ourselves. The picture are true to what this condo looks like. We would definitely book this condo again.

The condo had a beautiful view from the private covered balcony, the interior was updated, it was spotlessly clean, and close to Duval St. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay! The only drawback was that it was hard to find at night. GPS was useless. A stop at the guardshack for directions will get you there though. Stacy at Compass was excellent! She happily answered questions and secured our reservation for next year. Great experience!
