Can’t go wrong with beach front but the owners/managers of the property were really the best. Mike was so kind and easy to work with. We were here for our wedding at the pier and ended up having a decent amount of it upended by the weather. Mike was super kind and flexible with us using the condo. He even helped a couple other guests find it. The main bed/bath is sizeable and very cozy. We never stay ocean front so it was such a treat having this balcony and the nice furniture out there. All the amenities, WiFi, laundry, kitchen appliances worked great and made it feel like a home. Already looking to book out for the next couple of anniversaries!

The best thing about #203 at Pier View Condos is the view! Magnificent! The host pictures are true to life of the inside of the condo. Checking in/out was very easy. The negatives are the carpet and only partially updated bathrooms as well as the living room furniture not being very comfortable due to sagging. While clean enough it could use a more thorough cleaning. Screens on the sliding doors would be a plus. Then their is the elevator situation. I was told the elevator was broken before i booked but from what I've read this is an ongoing issue. I was also told of the availability of a luggage lift which if we had not had that we wouldn't have booked. I only saw one access from the condos to the beach. If you have physical limitations as i do you should know it is a climb up and down through deep soft sand. Although i have a list of negatives, we had a wonderful time. Just a few updates to the condo and it would easily recieve 5 stars.

Absolutely loved the central location and the Condo. The weather let us down, but we had a great time, enjoyed local restaurants and a-lot of seafood! Plan to visit and re-book again in the future.

The balcony and the view from the condo were wonderful. We spent countless hours on the balcony reading, watching the waves and simply enjoying the weather, which was beautiful! The condo was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay there again.

Very nice place to stay

This property was easy to find, good parking, and nice accommodations. The ocean view was wonderful. The owner was good with communicating some work being done. We all agreed that we would definitely come again if the elevator is repaired. Even level 1 condos require the climbing of stairs. Also a note about the pull out couch; when cleaning between patrons, pull the couch from the wall and lift the mattress. We vacuumed lots of crumbs etc from under.

Comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Sweet view off the balcony. From the door, you could find the ocean in 5 minutes with your eyes closed.

This is a great property in a perfect location. View from the balcony was amazing. Having the elevator was an extra bonus. Both the host and onsite management responded quickly to questions and were very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this property and hope to return in the future.

Fantastic location, steps from beach. Great balcony views. Cons were: starter items were very minimal. No dish rag or towels in kitchen and only one pod for diswasher ,only one set of towels per person for stay, one roll of toilet paper per room, no beach chairs.

Spring Break in Outer Banks

At first glance walking in, it looked very nice, after looking around it could have been cleaner. The whirlpool tub was really dirty, king size bed didn't have a fitted sheet on it so I had to lay on the flat sheet and cover up with a blanket, didn't want to cover up w/the comforter. Had to call next morning for a fitted sheet and more bath towels. I had also asked for extra blankets but none were ever dropped off. No kitchen towels or dish cloth were provided, no extra tall kitchen garbage bags, had to go buy some. Neither patio door had screens so we couldn't enjoy the sounds of the ocean without bugs flying in. The patio door in living room was broke so had to use a bar along the bottom to hold the door shut, it didn't even latch. That Ad stated grab your beach chair, which there weren't any available, that was disappointing and a little misleading, was hoping to sit in chairs on the beach. Certainly when you travel you don't pack beach chairs. Knowing what I know now, I would asked more questions up front. Overall an OK place to stay, nice location, close to shops and restaurants.

Amazing for the cost!

The unit is in an older building, but is very clean and very well maintained. We were surprised at how big the space was with a nice kitchen and dining area. Great view and you can walk right out back onto the beach.

Short stay; comfortable and seconds from beach

Overall a great place to stay. It's the little things that were a bit frustrating. Ice maker didn't work; pools were closed and no kitchen dish rags or dish towels. Found a wonderful church to attend on Easter only 10 min from condo, called Nag's Head Church.

Million dollar view and location in need of a complete makeover

Million dollar view and location in need of a complete makeover. The location for the unit can’t be beat and is just about in the center of the Outer Banks (OBX) from Corolla all the way down to Hatteras Village, making it easy to explore most of the OBX. We had a great breakfast each morning at Sam and Omie’s just up the street (make sure to ask for Emily to be your server). The unit itself had a fantastic ocean view which made up for most of the other issues with the unit. The unit was clean and neat and had all the comforts of home. But all the furnishings were “vintage” 80s and 90s, including the mocha brown bathtubs and toilets. The lighting was not good, including task lighting and overhead lighting. One of the slats for the blinds in the front bedroom was broken making a lack of privacy since there were no drapes. And due to the older carpeting, dim lighting, vintage décor and dated kitchen, the unit felt a little dingy but was otherwise neat and clean. The entire property and the unit are in need of a lot of TLC. There is peeling paint, rust stains in the elevators and elsewhere, discolored fencing, and other signs of excessive wear and tear throughout the complex. We realize living on the oceanfront is harsh on buildings. But for the price we paid and even considering the great location, the entire complex needs to be updated or charge a lower price. We would stay in the unit again. But it and the entire complex both need a lot of TLC.
