My wife and I brought our 5 kids 2 friends (party of 9) to Carolina Bliss in July. We went down to Kill Devil Hills for a tremendous fireworks celebration in honor of our Nation’s 250th birthday. We enjoyed days at the beach (5 minute walk to the right) and days in town (5 minute walk to the left). Her property is in a perfect location! Need groceries? 5 minute walk. Ice cream? Maybe 8 minute walk. This is a newer property and I’m told it’s something like 5 years old. A nice feature is the elevator to get coolers/groceries to the 3rd floor kitchen. Very clean and modern layout. We had issues with the circuit breaker on night 1 (a breaker was tripped - one bedroom with no power), but Mrs Jo Ann had a friendly man out the next morning to fix it. Also, and this could happen to anyone, the relatively brand-new dishwasher quit (it was from GE’s higher-end Cafe line) on day 2. Mrs Jo Ann again did her absolute best to get it fixed, responding to my VRBO messages within 1/2 day or less. She was very attentive and as helpful as she could be. I’d bring my family to this property again in a heart beat. In my opinion, Duck is THE only town in the OBX to which I’d return. I love the walkable community with all the bars, restaurants, and shopping. Constructive criticism: we use Amazon Prime almost exclusively at home to watch movies, but her Amazon account is locked such that no rentals can be viewed. I think a good work-around would be to allow guests to rent movies & reimburse
