Lake Gaston Waterfront Cottage Capacidad para 6 adultos, Boathouse y kayaks disponibles

Hermosa casa completamente amueblada de 3 habitaciones y 2 baños en alquiler en el lago Gastón. Plano de planta abierto en el nivel principal incluye sala de estar con chimenea, comedor y cocina totalmente equipada con máquina de hielo. Dos dormitorios, ambos con camas queen size y baño con bañera de hidromasaje completan el primer piso. Las puertas francesas se abren a la espaciosa terraza con parrilla de gas y una hermosa vista de los exuberantes árboles verdes que dan sombra al patio inferior junto con una vista del lago y las puestas de sol de la tarde. El espacioso nivel inferior tiene una gran sala de estar abierta con un baño grande y un tercer dormitorio queen. La sala de recreación de la planta baja cuenta con una mesa de hockey de aire de tamaño completo, futbolín, área de bar y sala de cine con TV de 60 pulgadas con sonido envolvente. Se proporcionan películas, libros e incluso juguetes para niños pequeños. Las puertas francesas se abren a un área de patio fuera de la sala de recreación de nivel inferior con cómodos asientos en el patio para disfrutar de la vista al lago.

Una pasarela de madera lo acompaña desde el nivel inferior hasta la caseta cubierta para botes con ascensor, electricidad y luz. El uso del cobertizo privado y la rampa para botes está incluido en el alquiler. Tres kayaks también disponibles. Debido a que esta casa se encuentra en la parte trasera de la cala, el ruido del barco es muy mínimo. Hay buena pesca desde el muelle y también una escalera para nadar. No se permite fumar ni mascotas. Además, no hay Internet en Lyric's Lair, que es perfecto para aquellos que necesitan relajarse y descansar del correo electrónico y Facebook. El servicio celular de Verizon funciona mejor, pero la recepción celular puede ser irregular en nuestro oasis rural.

Las comodidades para los más pequeños incluyen sillas altas, barandas de cama, portón para bebés, juguetes y juegos, y libros para niños más pequeños. Los adolescentes y los adultos disfrutarán de la selección de videojuegos, películas y libros para actividades nocturnas o lluviosas.

Perfect Getaway

Lyrics Lair is just as advertised! It was such a great place to stay. The hosts were quick to respond to questions and very helpful. The house was clean and had all advertised amenities. Lots of extras in the house that made staying there even more memorable. Very quiet area with friendly neighbors. 10/10 recommend staying at this wonderful house. Only downfall on our part was that we weren’t at the house enough to fully enjoy it. Next time!

We had an awesome time celebrating over a long weekend. The house is beautiful and well stocked. Our daughter loved the toys downstairs, and we loved the view looking out onto the lake. The boathouse was great and easy to use. Would/Will definitely recommend to others!!

Relaxing and well-stocked getaway

This property is very well-stocked (it even had a bread machine!) from the kitchen to cleaning supplies and lots of towels - I hate running out of towels and I didn’t have that problem here. Also, my son and I have sensitive skin and allergies. The host was so patient and helpful when I asked questions about detergents and provided helpful hints and solutions for me. I was able to prepare well thanks to Malena’s help.

Quick lakeside getaway

Great place for an escape from the city. Even in the rain, we absolutely loved just sitting on the covered dock and watching rain drops hit the lake.

We had a great time at the property. Location was great. Everything we needed was in the house. Easily rented jet skis and tied them to the dock for overnight. No issues.

Super Clean and Fun

This property was so clean when we arrived. Honestly, the game room was a huge hit for us! The beds were super comfortable, always a plus too. The Owner was very helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend this property for anyone with a small group or looking for a quiet place.

Very relaxing

On the lake in a cove. Ample space for boats in and out but small enough to stay quiet. A turtle would come and greet us in the morning and evening.

Great lake house

Really enjoyed the availability of the creek which flows into Lake Gaston. Boat dock was an A+. Neighborhood was quite and well kept. Would like to stay again next year. For everyone who has not been to Lake Gaston,and likes to fish and swim this is a great place to rent. Having a boat is a plus and should be a must have. Rental was as advertised.

Perfect home on the lake!

We have stayed in this lovely home every year for many years and it just keeps getting better. It is extremely well equipped and supplied. It is newly remodeled and updated and is perfect for a family with kids. Lots of toys are available along with air hockey and fooseball. We'll be back next year!

Comfy, Cozy and Clean

We stayed 3 nights with 2 adults and 4 teenagers and had a wonderful time. The house was very clean and the beds were comfy. A great place to relax and enjoy nature. The teens loved the downstairs area to hang out and play football and air hockey while the parents enjoyed hanging out playing cards on the deck. We all had a wonderful time on the kayaks. Would rent again and hope to come back soon!

Great few days away!

It was a relaxing get away for the family before school starting. I can tell you being an avid salt water fisherman learning how to fresh water fish is a whole new experience lol. Docking my offshore boat in your boathouse was an experience to say the least. It was so nice to dock your boat and walk right into the house. We will be back again.

The only thing I would change about our experience at Lyrics Lair is there isn't any Wi-Fi. We spoke with the owner when we checked in and you couldn't ask for a nicer, more informative lady. We will definitely be going back this fall to see all of the beautiful leaves changing colors!!

Thanks Bryan for the kind words! You were a great renter to work with!! Internet is a double edged sword, it's nice to get away and not have to worry about reading Facebook, or Twitter. The cell service for Verizon customers is good enough to receive calls and texts, and pull up websites with limited graphics but yes, on a busy holiday, or weekend cell reception can certainly be an issue and there is definitely no streaming. Even if we wanted to install internet Hughes net is our only option and it's still not fast enough to stream. If we got it, we would have to charge more because it is so expensive so we would have to raise prices for little internet service value...it's just not worth it. Here's hoping for FIOS in Look Out Point sometime in the near future! Lyric's Lair would be happy to welcome your family back anytime!

We really work hard to make sure that we have done everything we can to make the house as vacation perfect as we can...which sometimes includes yard work. I have asked the landscapers never to come before 8:00 am if they can possibly help it. We try and keep the grounds in tip-top shape, but I am sorry they woke you that morning. Family of 5

Our family of 5 stayed for 3 nights. The property is as listed and is very clean. Great outdoor space and views of the lake. It rained 2 of the 3 days we were there so we didn't get to enjoy the lake but the house has plenty to do. Books, games, movies and air hockey. There is no internet service at the property. Cell reception is spotty, I have AT&T and my husband has Sprint. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Sandra, We are so glad you enjoyed your time at Lyric's Lair. We do our best to make sure kids have something to do on rainy days! It is true there is no internet and unless you have Verizon, the cell service will be spotty. We do have a booster for Verizon services, but you should consider yourself "unplugged" when you are at Lyric's Lair. Thanks so much for renting!

Lyric's Lair Top Notch

We had a fabulous time, the house was beautiful, spacious, had air hockey, foosball, movies, PS2 games, kayaks, and even a boat lift. Kids swam right off the dock, I caught catfish, bream, and bass. The boat launch right next door and private. We had a super time. Maybe the only recommendation would be for owner to get Wi-Fi, but honestly, that forced us all to enjoy the great outdoors which is what these trips are all about. We hope to be invited again, we LOVED Lake Gaston and the Lyric's Lair!!

We are so glad you had a great time at out home Lyric's Lair. Consider this an invitation to return anytime you'd like. Believe me, I hear you about the WiFi. The reason we don't have it, is because Verizon deems our neighborhood "too small" and not "cost effective" enough to bring it into our little rural neighborhood of 15 homes. The only other alternative for us, is satellite, but it's so expensive, that we would have to pass the cost on to our renters in the summer months and we didn't want to do that. There is something to be said for "unplugging" and we try hard to offer other activities, that don't require electronics like the air hockey, fooseball and kayaks you mentioned knowing that folks are use to using the internet for entertainment. We also keep a current movie library as well, since we know you can't stream movies there. Lyric's Lair is outfitted for maximum relaxation and taking advantage of it's rural and beautiful surroundings. Thanks David and we hope to see you again next year.

Clean and very stocked house

This house has everything and more! Very clean with all the extras you can think of. We brought our boat (a 22 ft chap) and we had plenty of room (depth) at the dock. Easy in and out of the cove to the main lake. The neighbors were extremely friendly and the property was well kept. The game room was lots of fun, we didn't have any little ones with us so we didn't look into the extras for littles. Beds, bedding and towels were all nice and clean. The house kept a good temperature even with it being 95 most days we were there! We plan to rent again!

Hello! We are the Blevins family. We live in Woodbridge, Virginia and are a family of three. A working wife and husband who both work in downtown Washington, DC and our daughter, Lyric, for whom the house is named (Lyric's Lair) We are your typical two-income working busy family. We love making memories at Lake Gaston and still schedule use of the house ourselves working around our many repeat renters who come back each year to make their own memories at Lake Gaston.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

This property was originally supposed to be a 'build it and sell it" type of investment, but we fell in love with Lake Gaston and its been an important part of our life ever since. We didn't originally think we would rent the house, but found that we loved it so much we wanted to share our little piece of Lake Gaston heaven with others who wanted to enjoy this unique lake.

Everything we do, we do with family in mind. Like childproof locks and outlet covers throughout the house so that parents with small children can relax a bit more. Nightlights, and a booster seat are provided as an assist for the little ones to feel comfortable in a new place. The movie area downstairs has a sectional sofa instead of theater seating so everyone can sit together. We work hard to keep the house in excellent shape, keep it modern and provide all the comforts of home for our guests.

The house faces the west, so the sunsets in the evening are particularly spectacular from the upstairs deck. The house is shaded and protected by the tall trees that stand in the yard. These trees provide shade, and protection from boat noise, but most of all provide a natural playground for many species of native birds, including humming birds, and red crested woodpeckers. The low level lights outside at night provide opportunities for star gazing at a level you just can't get in the city. The lake house was really designed to fit as unobtrusively as possible into its natural surroundings. We have a saying in our family that goes "You haven't been TO the lake, until you have been IN the lake"!

With the increased interest in renting at Lake Gaston, new businesses are popping up all the time! We are now just a short drive from a coffee shop, breweries, a winery, and antique shops.
