**Home Details:**
- Step into an inviting 18'x12' screened porch upon arrival.
- The home spans approximately 1000 square feet and features an open kitchen/family room layout.
- Master Bedroom: Queen bed with an attached bathroom boasting a tiled shower.
- Bunk Room: Twin over full bunk bed with a dresser.
- Additional Guest Room: Queen bed.
- Hall Bath: Complete with a shower/tub combo.
- Additional amenities include a separate laundry room, small pantry, and backyard access.
- The fenced backyard is equipped with a wooden gazebo, fire pit, grill, picnic table, swing, and ample space for your pets to roam freely.

- Absolutely! We welcome pets with a listed capacity of 2. Feel free to inquire about additional animals.

**Can you see the lake?**
- While the home doesn't offer lake views, our neighborhood provides easy access to the waterfront, including a beach, playground, day docks, and a boat ramp, all just a short walk or 2-minute drive away.

**Can I bring a boat?**
- Yes, our spacious driveway accommodates parking and maneuvering for your vehicle and boat trailer.

**What is provided?**
- We strive to simplify your stay by providing essentials such as laundry items, select cooking spices and oils, kitchen equipment, dishware, trash supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, coffee pods, bed linens, and bath/beach towels. Please note, personal hygiene and grooming products beyond hand soap are not included, and quantities are adjusted based on your rental duration.

**What is the "host fee"?**
- The "host fee" covers our cleaning services, ensuring our home is meticulously maintained between stays. This fee is entirely dedicated to our cleaning crew, with any additional costs related to pet accommodations clearly outlined.

The property was welcoming to Families including your fur babies. Love that games are provided for additional things to do. The home is comfortable and easy to get to. The fenced yard is an added bonus if traveling with pets. Visited in Nov and we are looking forward to coming back. Host was very responsive and friendly. Community is cery quiet and peaceful. Just what we needed for this work trip. Thank you for hosting and amazing home.

Fun trip with friends and dogs

My friends and I spent four nights here with our dogs and it was perfect for us. The fenced yard is wonderful to have for the dogs. We spent a lot of time hanging out around the fire pit and on the screened in porch. We took the dogs to the lake every day so they could enjoy a swim. The lake front park is an easy walk away. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect home located in a quiet neighborhood Relaxing by the fire after a day on lake was amazing! Only gave four out of five stars on cleanliness, floors and outdoor areas could use a little attention. Overall a great place to stay hope to come back!

Great get away

My husband, myself and our pups came for a short get away/Anniversary. The home was very clean, mastresses were comfortable and it was very well stocked especially the kitchen. The neighborhood was quiet, the backyard was very nice with the bonfire, grill and swing. The owner was very responsive and a great host!! We enjoyed our visit and are definitely planning on returning next year for a longer stay!

Relaxing by Lake Gaston

The ”retreat” was fantastic! The house was immaculate and very up to date and the fenced in backyard was ideal for our dog to be able to enjoy herself. The front screened in porch made early morning coffee and evening cocktails a real pleasure. The owners checked on us to ensure everything was going well and that was appreciated. We will definitely go back to “Russell’s Retreat” again!!

Wonderful weekend stay

We had a great time at Lake Gaston at the Russel Retreat! The home was clean and well organized and had plenty of room for us to unpack and settle in. The neighborhood was quiet and we loved having access to a private boat ramp and beach area. The owners were wonderful and responded quickly when we had an issue with the air mattress and sent a new one over the next morning. It was too warm to use the fire pit out back but the screened front porch was wonderful to sit and drink my coffee in the morning. We will definitely visit again!

Loved our stay at the Russell Retreat!

My family and I enjoyed our stay so much! This beautiful home was perfectly described. The home was fully stocked with everything that was needed during our stay. It was SUPER clean too! Beds were comfortable including the best pillows in the master bedroom. Beach access was minutes away. We enjoyed grilling & s’mores every night out back & mornings on the screened in front porch. Very quiet & nice private community with welcoming neighbors. Thanks for being such an accommodating host! We would love to come back again!

Perfect Lake House without the Lake

The Russell Retreat turned out to be the perfect little weekeend getaway. We had to overcome a slight disappointment as we thought we'd be much closer to the lake for our fur-babies to play in the water, but the lake was not even in walking distance. However, the landlocked treasure of a house with the fenced in backyard and front porch was an absolute delight. Perfect place for our pups to roam and easy in-and out the two gates in the yard.

Perfect

This was just a lovely place to stay. It was a very nice house and everything was clean and tidy. Everything looked new and remodled. It is a well looked after house. The best part for us was the screaned deck. We spent almost our entire time outside. It was so quiet and peaceful. Out back there is a place for a fire, swing, and a roofed area to hang out. We took advantage of the washer and dryer which looked brand new as well. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The owners were wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed. A perfect place to stay!!!

Humble Home

Very cute home. Everything that you would need in the kitchen and Bathrooms. Very quiet neighborhood. People are very friendly. T gated backyard was perfect for my dads miniature dash hound. Met a very good friend of there’s named Todd. There were issues with the gate at the boat ramp. No fault of anyone’s other than the HOA committee. But the owner of the property did everything that she could to help out with an issue that was out of her control. Just as we were about to leave. Another gentleman who live in the neighborhood with a personal front license plate (JESUS). What a blessing it was to meet this kind spirited man. Immediately I said thank you Lord. It’s amazing how the Lord Jesus works in our lives. My dad who is 85. And in pretty good health but not the best. I just wasn’t wanting to leave him either driving my truck or the boat to the beach where you could’ve left the boat for the day. It was just a very blessed time for my dad and myself. Just one of many memories that my dad and I have shared. Thank you for opening your home to us. God Bless you and your family Bill

Hello! We are the Russells and we'd love to have you visit our home. This home is our special place to take our two year old. Toddler life is a little hectic, so we find ourselves not making it up quite as often these days. We want this to be a comfortable place for families to relax, have fun, and make lifelong memories.
