We had the pleasure of staying at this beach home with our family of young kids and family friends with young kids. The location was perfection. It truly is 1 block to the shops/beach in York. The home is bright and clean with all the towels you could possibly need for your stay. There were some kids games and puzzles and a nice picnic table in the front lawn. Traci made the check in process easy and painless and reached out to make sure our needs were met. We will absolutely stay here again. Truly the perfect location and home for our needs with young kids

Absolutely wonderful rental

I rented this property with my sisters, spouses, and our children. The host responds immediately every time I messaged leading up to, during, and after the stay. The house was spotless, comfortable, much larger than we imagined based on pictures, and immaculately maintained. The linens were all clean, there were plenty of towels, and soft couch hangout blankets as well. There were toiletry baskets with variety of “could be easily forgotten” items. Aside from the house it is *actually* a 2-3 minute walk to short sands beach. The beach was clean, easy to get a spot on during peak vacation season, and lots of cute stores close by with food, ice cream, etc. There is something downtown for every age. The playground on short sands also is amazing for kids! We will be renting here again!

Great place close to the beach

This house was a gem near Short Sands beach. Short walk and you were at the beach. Great for families with little kids in tow. The air conditioning in the house worked really well, the house was clean. Host was very responsive. Would stay again.

Another wonderful stay

This was our second stay here and won’t be our last. The house is welcoming and comfortable. The location can’t be beat. The host responds quickly and is very easy to communicate with. We look forward to coming back soon!

Loved the house

The house was lovely and we were able to walk to Short Sands Beach and stores and restaurants. The owner was wonderful. She answered all my questions, went out of her way to make us comfortable, and checked in with me during our stay to be sure everything was ok.

Great Location!

My family and I have been vacationing in York for about 5 years now and have had a different house every year. Traci was so responsive and the location is unbeatable to short sands. We will definitely be back.

LOCATION!!!!

We had this house at maximum capacity…adults and teenage boys…this house fit all of our needs but absolute most importantly had the best location! I grew up coming to the York area every single summer…had a brief hiatus when we moved west…being able to bring our family back here was a wonderful first trip back since 2009! We were able to walk to everything on short sands and long sands beaches. Our teens were able to have some freedom being able to get ice cream and hang at fun-o-Rama without us. I would recommend this house for all ages. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back!

Great house, We stayed with 2 adult children and their families, We had 2 small children. We were comfortable and conveniently located to everything in walking distance! Simply lovely!

We had three couples and two children from three generations, in town for a family wedding. The house was perfect. Everyone had space and all their needs satisfied. The house is right in the small town, quiet and private but within easy walking distance to the beach or a restaurant.

5 Star Labor Day Stay!

Tracie the owner was amazing to work with. Her communication was top notch which made it easy and simplistic to get any questions we had answered. The house was beautiful and was just a shirt 3 min walk to the beach, and many eateries/attractions. The pictures of the house on the listing are not up to date...the house is much more updated and even more beautiful/beachy than pictured. If you're looking for a fun/convenient stay in York, look no further!!!

Perfect for our family!

Everything was perfect! We couldn't have asked for a better house and location for our family. There was plenty of room for the kids to hang out in the living room while the adults enjoyed the second sitting room. My grandmother and mother really loved the sun room area. Short walk to the beach and downtown was so convenient. Traci was always available to answer questions. We can't wait to come back next year!

Great location, perfect for a family vacation!

Location is great for families with younger kids. Easy short walk to/from the beach and all shops and restaurants. Being that close I expected it to be noisy but not at all. Highly recommend!

Family beach vacation

We rented this property for five days in July. Great location, 2 minute walk to the beach, several good places for food choices and a five minute walk to the zoo. The property was very clean. Great spot for kids and adults.

Perfect house and location

I was so excited to find a property that could fit our big group comfortably with such a perfect location in York. Under a 5 minute walk to the shops and the beach. The house was beautiful, the pictures don’t do it justice! The extra beach chairs, umbrella, and boogie boards were a big plus! Traci was easily reached via text/phone and great to work with. Hoping to return next summer!

York Beach has always been one of my favorite places to vacation in the summer. After years of creating memories and discovering my happy place, I began looking for our beach home. When I found "My Place By the Sea", I knew this was our house. From the first moment I walked through the doors, I felt joy, laughter, love and happiness. I imagined many families coming together to enjoy the warm days and cool nights, Maine lobster, shopping, restaurants, taffy and fudge. I imagined the games, the movies, the walks along the beach and the kids at the zoo, amusement park, arcade or bowling alleys. I imagined the drives along the coast to Ogunquit, Kennebunkport, Wells and the rainy days shopping at the Kittery outlets. I hope you will love it as much as I do and be our guests for years to come.

This property is perfectly located. It is one block to Short Sands Beach, the shops, restaurants, zoo and amusement park. It is set back yet close to it all. I love a vacation when there's no need to get in the car to go anywhere and something for everyone. Walk around the shops, go to the beach, take the trolley to the other end of the beach, ride a bike, walk to the beautiful Nubble Light House or drive along the coast to Ogunquit, Wells, Kennebunkport.
