The home was every bit as beautiful as the photos! The back porch swing was probably my favorite spot, but our whole family really enjoyed everything the property had to offer. We spent time in the game room, relaxed in the jacuzzi, and roasted marshmallows by the fire pit—which were even provided for us!This was definitely a 5-star stay. We actually found ourselves wanting to spend more time at the house rather than going out and exploring the surrounding area, which I think says a lot about how special and comfortable this home is. It truly felt like part of the vacation itself, not just a place to stay.We had a wonderful time and would absolutely recommend this home to anyone visiting the area!

Highly recommended mountain retreat. Such a beautiful place, with amazing views, and thoughtful amenities for all ages. The house is very comfortable and well maintained. The host was very responsive and accommodating. Our group of 8 guests all enjoyed our stay with plenty of space to sit together or spread out for some quiet relaxing time.

We had a wonderful stay! The host was incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with, answering all of our questions before and during our trip. The home was spotlessly clean upon arrival and exactly as described. We loved the updated interior—it was beautifully renovated with a tasteful, neutral design that made the home feel warm, modern, and inviting. The beds were very comfortable, and the home was quiet and peaceful, making it easy to relax. The views from the decks were absolutely beautiful, and the location was convenient to Morganton, Lake James, hiking, and other nearby attractions while still feeling private. Check-in and check-out were both simple and hassle-free. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this home to anyone visiting the area!

Laura was an excellent host and very communicative! The house was better than the photos! There were several details that were very intentional and thought out. We have a two year old and there were so many things for him to play with/read! Laura is very kind, and check out was super simple. Thank you for having us!

A true hidden gem in Burke County with spectacular views! House is immaculate with tons of options for families to relax and enjoy company. The host was exceptional in her communication, and I was surprised at how quickly she replied to messages. She even went the extra mile and left us all the ingredients for s’mores AND fresh flowers. House had all of the amenities needed to cook and best part is grocery stores are only 5-10 mins into town. The kittens were super friendly and a big hit with our guests. Teenagers loved the game room and having their own space. Surprised by how spacious the bedrooms and bathrooms were! Also, a plethora of lounging areas to reconnect and celebrate various milestones. We hope to return!!!!
