We had a wonderful time. The condo was perfect for our needs. The walk to the beach wasn't far. The pool was ok, nothing fancy but was nice. The place was clean and fit all of us nicely with each their own room.

Great spot!

This was the perfect place...just a 2 minute drive down to the beach! Everything was great and just what it said it was..plus the margaritaville machine there!

Graduation surprise

It was perfect! We went down to Port A to surprise my sister for graduation. There was plenty of room for all of us. The patio was nice to have morning coffee on. It was clean and cozy! We loved it! The fact that the beach is less than a mile walk was just the cherry on top. We spent A LOT of time at the beach!

Perfect condo!

This condo is in the perfect location, close to the beach and shops! We had enough room for 4 adults, two teenagers and one toddler. Maybe the condo was limited on supplies, so we bought what we needed! We also had to contact the owner a couple times and always received a quick response. My family and I couldn’t be more pleased with the condo and I will keep the information for our next beach getaway!

Family trip

I feel that the pictures were not an accurate representation of the house . The “pool” was no larger than my SUV. The house it’s self had a strong moldSmell that would almost knock you down when you walked through the door. Had loud neighbors that we had to constantly ask to move from our parking spots. Don’t feel that this worth the money paid forThis unit.

From the Owner: "Hi Mindy, I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay at our place in Port A. We take all feedback seriously and strive to improve through it.In this case, we have not had anyone bring up a “strong mold smell” and have not experienced it ourselves. We did have the maid double check, and though she said the garage smelled a bit “musty”, there was not a strong smell of mold in the unit. As far as the pictures of both the interior and the pool, they are a fair and accurate representation of the unit and the pool’s size. These were taken by our marketing partner, Evolve, and are not ours. The complex only has 21 units, so the smaller size of the pool isn’t surprising.As far as the neighbors, they are renters as well, & though we don’t control them or that aspect, had you reached out to us, I would have contacted the unit owner directly. If they were in #8, they were also Evolve guests, and I’m sure they would like to know as well, so they can restrict their bookings going forward."

great place and location - - - but supplies ?

so . . . -we had 4 bowls for 8 adults -2 garbage bags for the main kitchen garbage tub (ended up using plastic bags from the other garbage cans and grocery store) -1 dish towel -ran out of dishwasher soap tabs -no wash cloths or bar soap in the bathrooms -we left the cockroach under the dishwasher alive and untouched.

Weekend stay

Overall we were happy. We did not feel the ad represented the actual unit we were issued. However the accommodations was nice. Location was perfect! Very short walk to the beach which we made several times. The parking available was not so good. Our condo would sleep 10 people but we only had parking for two vehicles. There was a garage but per the management that was not available for our use. We were told overflow could park on the street. We did not see anyone do this down the entire street. I guess the big question is, would we stay here again. The answer would be yes. The fun ratio to dollar spent was very responsible.

Kenny, the homeowner would like to deliver the following message: "Hey Kenny, I'm glad you and your family had a great time at our family condo and took advantage of our close proximity to the beach. I am disappointed to see that your rating is reflective on the parking. I'd just like to bring a few things to light with regard to that since you stated that the "ad did not represent the actual unit you were issued". We're a family that owns two units at the Gulfside Condominiums that we rent to other families. The occupancy is a max of 10; specifically 8 adults and 2 children. The unit you stayed in was the unit selected at the time of booking. In the listing, it's noted that there are 2 dedicated parking spots and that there was overflow parking on the street parallel to the back of the complex. This is a 1/2 mile long dead end street with little to no traffic, vacant grass lots on either side and if you park near unit 21 it's less than 30 yards to the front door of your unit (#9). The street, along with any vehicles or boats parked there, can be easily seen from the front door of the unit. If you had any questions as to which street was mentioned in the listing, you're welcome to contact us by phone and we would have pointed it out. If the complex is less than 100% full you can park in other spots not occupied by other guests as long as you leave a note as a contact point while you are there and as long as you move that vehicle if you take a car and leave the property. As far as the garage and its use, guests are allowed to use the garage but not for parking since it's basically a garage sized for a golf cart and storage. Anything larger than a compact car would not fit in the garage even if it was empty. We usually store chairs and beach items in there for the guests to use along with all of the maid's storage. Typically guests used the garage to store their beach items such as inflatables, tents, chairs and fishing equipment so they don't have to bring it inside. Once again, we're glad that you guys had a great time as we work hard to keep the units clean and in top shape. Repairs needed

There some things that need to be fixed for the stay to have been better.Dishwasher - couldn't get it to run. Had to hand-wash dishes. It kept pausing, had to hit resume and did that over and over for hours. Bathtub upstairs between 2 bedrooms wouldn't drain properly. Shower in upstairs yellow bathroom (attached to yellow bedroom) water wouldn't get hot. Had to shower downstairs. Kitchen hot water is on right side, not left. Tried that in shower but still didn't get hot.We didn't use washer/dryer but the light didn't work in utility room.AC works great.Nice having a dehumidifier in condo.The main picture shows Adirondack chairs but there is only a picnic table in back.

Great location terrible communication

Pros:The location and condo were amazing! A short block to the beach and lots of room inside the condo to sleep and enjoy down time. The place was very clean and had all the kitchen appliances needed to prepare meals for the family. They provided beach chairs, wagon, pool toys and other stuff for the beach so you didn’t have to bring it. Cons:Door lock will not work! Can’t get in or leave the property without fighting with the lock for at least of half hour and don’t expect to get back in right away when you lock it. Can’t get ahold of the 2 guest contacts provided ever (through email or back to back phone calls) you just get sent to voicemail. Definitely put a damper on our trip as we all couldn’t enjoy the first night out on our VACATION as we couldn’t lock the dang door and spent hours on the phone with evolve trying to figure out what to do. EVOLVE was soooo helpful and were able to get me in touch with a 3rd contact (that was not provided at the time of booking) and he was so nice and very helpful. If it was not for him (I didn’t get his name but I believe he was the property owner) I would have requested a refund and left!!! He tried everything he could do to help us in and out but it was not working. Over all it was a OK experience but not being able to come and go as you please was definitely a burden.

Great family get-a-way

The condo was conveniently located close to the beach. Accommodations were well stocked with kitchen ware and the washer and dryer were nice to have available.

Really great spot but could never get a hold of the property manager

It was a great place: very convenient, spaceious, and clean. However we could not reach the property manager. We tried every day during our 3 night stay. The instructions on how to get in required a degree of detective work. The note about the front door code was a joke. It seemed like the battery ran out in the lock which seemed fitting as most bulbs downstairs were burned out. Eventually, we just tried the front door and it was magically unlocked. Would like to return this same place, but I'm not convinced the property manager is doing anything to earn their fee.

NIce property but too many little things add up to unsatisfactory

The property is clean and has been updated nicely. The garage space to store beach paraphernalia was great and the big wagon was a back saver in getting stuff to the beach. However there are just a number of bad things that pretty much ruin the property's overall rating: 1. Ants got into the food in the kitchen. Bugs in some of the kitchen drawers. 2. Three of four chairs on the patio are broken. 3. Picnic table on the patio has rotten spots. 4. No toddler gate for stairs. 5. Could not shower upstairs if someone else was showering downstairs because the water flow would totally stop. 6. The electronic lock quit working on the second day of our three day stay. This one is somewhat offset by the quick response of Jim to get the physical key to us so we could lock the door when we would go out.

Condo was clean when we arrived. Toilet seats could use updating and down stairs shower tub has small holes with rust but other then that great stay! I would probably max out at 6 adults also! Owners/managers provided AWESOME customer service were accessible for questions!! I would stay here again!
