The Space:

Compass Rose in Olivia Beach is a serene and inviting home designed to provide you and your guests with the perfect Lincoln City experience! Inside, you'll find an open, island kitchen with all the appliances and accessories you need to prepare anything from beach snacks to full-course dinners. Meet up for mealtimes or family game nights at the nearby table for six, and then channel surf or pop in a Blu-ray or two for movie nights in the cozy living area. Don't forget the popcorn! And outside, you'll find a furnished deck with a gas grill for perfect summertime cookouts, an enclosed yard, and a private hot tub for relaxing soaks.



For sleeping options, there are three bedrooms. Two are on the second floor and both are equipped with cable TVs and Blu-ray DVD players. The main bedroom has a king-size bed and an en-suite bath, while the second bedroom has a queen-size bed. Also on the second floor is a bonus game room with cable TV, a Blu-ray player, and a futon for extra sleeping accommodations. The third floor has four twin beds in an open-loft arrangement, and there are two TVs with Blu-ray players.



This home is right across the street from the community park, and the shared swimming pool and exercise facilities are close by as well. Walk across the community park to the beach access, or take the short stroll to historic Nelscott where you can browse for hours in the famous Robert's Bookshop, second only to Powell's Books in Portland.

There is no working hot tub. The staff did not care and sent AI messages that they would pass the information on, but did nothing. The interior of the house does not match what the pictures show. Much of the décor and furniture is gone. There is nothing on the walls, no cozy living room, no throw pillows. It is dirty and in disrepair. The front door was difficult to open as the weather stripping has come partially off. There were dead bugs on window sills. The blinds were filthy. The primary bedroom was missing a dresser and mirror. There is no longer a throw rug in the primary suite as well. The window seat is empty.The fridge doesn't actually fit and they tore molding off and now is bangs into the wall. The carpet on the stairs is dirty. It smells of animal urine. Much of the dishware in the kitchen was chipped or dirty.
One throw pillow that was stained.
This disaster is where we thought the cute bookcase was. Instead there was a broken vase with wires hidden in it.

The amenities were bad the house needs some appliance repairs. The Dryer did not work which is a problem when you rent a home that is supposed to have a washer and dryer. The weather was very stormy. Also the ice maker did not work, the wifi was also iffy the house size and cleanliness was great though. The location is also awesome.

The house it self was great. Loved it. But the lighting in the living room and dining was really really dim. I had to read my book by the flashlight on my phone. The fire place worked half of the time. The Internet was the worse by far. For having a TV in every bedroom it only worked maybe 5%of the time

Great location and very clean. Had everything we needed in the kitchen and beds were comfortable. Note that there are a lot of stairs (3 floors). Wasn't great for my aging in-laws but the kids loved it. Some things need some TLC like the beat up hardwood floors in the kitchen and the outdoor hose/shower head in poor working condition. It would have been nice to use that to wash sand off before coming in.

Hot tub was not working. 5 tvs out of 6 in the house were not working. Automated responses and didn’t offer solutions to any of the problems. Tried to refund me 55, then 150 for the issues. Unacceptable considering we were staying for 10 days. Had to call Vrbo and be put on hold twice(once for 1.5 hours, no joke. The other time for 20 minutes) in order to actually either get a more realistic refund then 20 a day for 2 major amenities not working. Then they told Vrbo they offered an electrician to come but I refused because I said the hot tub worked. What actually happened is I said I found a separate breaker in the house that turned the hot tub on(this was at like 10pm) and said I would check back in the morning with them with an update. If you turn on any lights or anything at all in on the 2nd or 3rd story the breaker flips and turns off the hot tub. Anyways pretty disappointed, mostly with the hot communication that tells you we understand how frustrating that must be we will contact the local team, then no one messages back then the next day when you send another message it just sends a similar message. Finally had to call Vrbo after 7 days of this nonsense

Very nice property in a nice neighborhood with a park nextdoor that had a volleyball net and swings/play area. Central to most of the things in town, so super convenient spot!

Great for families and dogs

This house was just what we needed for a weekend in Lincoln city. Perfect for kids and dogs. We appreciated the beach toys available for our kiddos. Adjustable heat in each bedroom was nice for warming up after cold mornings on the beach!

Perfect house for a family trip!

We loved this property… beautiful home with plenty of room for the kids to enjoy. Very clean upon checkin, and when there was an issue with the BBQ the property manager responded quickly and resolved it. We love the neighborhood and the pool was a hit for sure. We’ll definitely be back!
