Great location. Well equipped condo as advertised.

My wife, daughter and I stayed at this condo In January, for 2 weeks. The condo was as advertised. Well designed, we'll equipped and the location was terrific. We had a partial view of the gulf, and we were steps away from a beautiful beach. We hope to return next year.

Perfect condo for family beach vacation

We really enjoyed staying in this condo. It was so convenient for beach time- just walk down the stairs and you are right there, and beach towels, umbrella, chairs are provided. The condo was well-appointed and had everything we needed for the week and was perfectly clean. The office staff on-site were friendly and helpful and the beach itself was fabulous - not crowded, water was beautiful and we actually had a manatee swim up close to us!

A great condo!

This condo was extremely clean and fully stocked with all the amenities you could possibly need. In fact, the kitchen had more place settings, utensils and tools than any condo we have rented in the past. The property was also very clean and well managed. Highly recommend this condo!

It is as described online. The area and location on the beach is very nice. The unit is clean, furniture is nice and well kept, beds are comfortable, baths a little tired. Overall it was a very nice stay and we would come back here again.

The view from the Condo was great! Very impressive on first entering the Unit. It was spacious and well furnished. The kitchen and appliances seemed fine, but there was mold around the faucet. The overall cleanliness of the entire unit was not good. The upholstery on the sofa was soiled and stained. The entire unit needed high dusting and deep cleaning. The bathrooms need grout repair. On stripping the bed before leaving, the mattress cover had large blood stains, which was covered by the clean looking top sheet, and not noticeable until the end of our stay. That was quite gross !! Despite the beautiful view and spaciousness, the Unit was disappointing.

This unit is close to the water and it is very spacious and bright. The owner takes a lot of pride in his he probably because everything looks new with no ware and tear. The bed is so comfortable and i actually ordered the pillows that were on the bed.Owner provided tents for the beach and a beach cart that you can pull your beach stuff inI have rented other units at this property and this by far has been my favorite . I will book this property again.

We felt right at home from the Keurig to the cooking utensils, the quick wifi and plentiful towels, even the cute starfish Tic Tac Toe and the beach themed decor. The on site laundry mat, shuffle board courts, and pool added to the fun and comfort of this vacation. Honestly felt more like the Caribbean than Florida! Check out Columbia, Mar Vista and the Chart house for good food and beautiful views. My kids are already begging to go back to Sand Cay unit 315!

Reviewer Comments: With the understanding that the property is used mostly as a rental, for the price we would expect a better decor and more comfortable mattresses. The office manager was kind enough to get pillow top, but even then one of the guests was better off sleeping on the sofa. Workmanship on laminate floors was sloppy. Have been staying at this resort for over 25 years.

Wonderful getaway to Longboat Key

The Sand Cay property was a wonderful spot for my 17-year old daughter and her BFF and I to stay for a few days. The third floor location gave us a nice view of the beach from the patio and dining room for gorgeous sunsets. The accommodations were a bit dated but the simple ‘Florida’ feel actually matched the established and community atmosphere that the location provides — the community pool, shuffle board and grills and lovely landscaping really added to the nice community feel. The space wasn’t as large as appears in photos, but for the three of us it was just fine. We were very impressed with how clean and orderly everything was - kudos to the cleaning crew! The amenities in the kitchen and the main tv were easy to find and use. I was disappointed that the laundry facilities were shared - we are accustomed to having laundry in the unit to use, but this ended up being just fine too. Easy access to the beach and the availability of beach chairs and towels was so convenient. We had a fabulous time and everything was made so easy for us - thank you!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family enjoyed an incredible vacation at Sand Cay (unit 315) and we'd recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing beach vacation. The unit was perfectly clean and spacious, and it's great that they supplied beach towels and beach toys. The beach is stunning (we saw dolphins right in front of us!), clean and not crowded at all. We almost never used the pool (which is nice) because we're beach-goers, but it's available. There's also a tennis court (can also play basketball and pickle ball).If you are looking to spend time in the area for a relaxing family vacation, you need not look any further. For us, the convenience of having our own place rather than a hotel room was much better. Just know that Longboat Key compared to Siesta Key (a little south) and Anna Maria Island (closer, but just north) are busier with more shops, restaurants etc. But, you're a 5 minute drive to Publix and about 10-minutes to Saint Armand Circle that has lots of restaurants and shops. We'd return for sure! Thanks to the office staff as well who were both friendly and helpful!

The weather was gorgeous and the amenities were everything we needed. The unit was fully equipped with everything to cook, relax, and venture down to the beach and pool. We vacation a lot with our children and this unit was by far the cleanest, most updated and calming place we have stayed at in a very long time. My husband and I enjoyed playing cards on the deck at night, and the kids loved the Tic-Tac-Toe set. We can’t wait to come back to unit 315 for our next vacation.

Sand Cay Resort is located in a convenient location.
