The property was perfect for our large family group. We loved the outside kitchen and pool. The service from everyone was good. We had a lovely stay overall. A few problems with noisy aircon in one bedroom was not resolved and the sauna did not work which was disapointing for some of the group despite asking on day one for it to be looked at. The property is not close for walking to any amenities so you do need a car to get anywhere. Taxis were ok. No buses, and you need to go to the recycling centre with rubbish which is a 5 minute drive away.

Beautiful villa set in a lot of land. Fantastic pool that is cleaned every morning. The inside kitchen is small with only a hob, the oven is in the outside kitchen that feels a bit disconnected. The water pressure is a bit hit & miss. Claudia is amazing, supplying lots of information for restaurants, places to visit , supermarkets etc A car is essential as there are no restaurants or bars in walking distance, taxis are quite expensive. Overall a fantastic holiday in a beautiful part of the world. The villa is spacious with a beautiful pool and grounds, ideal for large families.

Overall we spent a lovely week here at Casa Girasoli with three generations of my family. The villa is beautiful, and set on a piece of land with lovely mature fruit trees and vines, and has a really great pool. It is about a ten minute drive from the centre of Alghero, and from some lovely local beaches (Le Bombarde and Lazaretto were our favourites). We were very well looked after by the lovely Salvatore (who looks after the grounds, and brought us fresh fruits several times!) and Claudia, who was the managing agent available to help with recommendations and suggestions.This would have been a five star review, were it not for the fact that we feel strongly that the property has been misidentified by Vrbo, and by the management company Click Sardegna, as wheelchair accessible/ friendly (one of our party is a wheelchair user). It is not, and should not be listed on this site as such, as there is no step free access and none of the bathrooms have any kind of adaptation (apart from an outdoor bathroom, which is down three stairs). This was quite an issue for one of our party, unfortunately. Communication with Click Sardegna on this subject was not very good, as they denied that they had been told that one of our party was a wheelchair user - even when we sent them screenshots of the conversation they had had with them six months before our booking. Ultimately Vrbo gave us a significant refund to compensate for the time (and stress) caused by this aspect of our stay.

Thank you for highlighting the many positive aspects of Villa Girasoli. We are pleased that you enjoyed the villa, the pool, the location and the assistance provided by Salvatore and Claudia. We would, however, like to clarify the accessibility issue. The property has wide doorways and access through the main entrance, but it has never been advertised by us as a specially adapted property for wheelchair users, nor are adapted bathrooms shown or described in the listing. More importantly, the reservation was made on 29 January, while we were informed that one member of the group used a wheelchair only on 3 August, less than two weeks before arrival. Had we been informed at the time of booking, we could have assessed the specific requirements properly and, if necessary, advised a more suitable property. We are therefore sorry that this aspect affected your stay, but we do not believe it is accurate to suggest that ClickSardegna was aware of these accessibility requirements six months in advance or misrepresented the villa. We are nevertheless very happy that, overall, three generations of your family enjoyed a lovely week at Villa Girasoli.

We will return

It was a very desired vacation and we lived it exactly as we hoped. This house and the holidays have been a dream come true. The island is beautiful and offers breathtaking natural and scenic cues. The Villa was perfect. From the patio and garden we could see fantastic. In the garden the grill where to cook the fish was perfect, the parking and the space with the deck chairs near the outdoor shower were the most used. Sardinia and this villa are highly recommended. We will return.

Excellent séjour

Nous avons passé deux semaines entre amis à Alghero (près d’Olmedo) dans la propriété de Rosa, nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour. La villa est spacieuse, très confortable et bien équipée au sein d'un beau jardin privée. Nous tenons à souligner l'accueil particulièrement chaleureux que nous avons eu de la part des propriétaires. Un grand merci ! L'emplacement de la maison, loin des foules d'Alghero, a rendu nos vacances encore plus reposantes. À seulement 10 minutes en voiture, nous étions sur la plage. Merci encore pour ces belles vacances.
