From the charred wood exterior, clad in shou sugi ban, to the interior and exterior fireplaces and wood fired hot tub and sauna, wood and flame come together at this distinctive and private retreat from the hustle and bustle.



Designed with elegance, the open-concept living area features a plush sectional and a cozy wood-burning stove, framed by oversized picture windows that invite the outdoors in. The adjoining kitchen offers open wood shelving and a sleek island with bar seating, perfect for casual meals or morning coffee with a view. Soaring vaulted ceilings and expansive windows are featured throughout the home, creating a play between the outdoors and indoors, where you are never far from the nature that surrounds you.



The primary bedroom features a unique design, located across an open breezeway from the main house in it's own private wing. It boasts a king size bed and a luxurious ensuite spa style bathroom with a walk-in shower and soaking tub framed by stunning views. Two additional bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a teddy bed that folds into 2 twins or a king depending on your needs, share a bathroom with a walk-in shower on the other side of the home..



The sliding doors from the living area to the back deck and grill area, and breezeway dining table offer guests a chance to fully embrace the natural setting, not to mention the unique outdoor features of this home. Getting Around:

Break House is just 2.5 hours from New York City. A car is essential for getting there and exploring the area. The main access routes are the NJ-15 S, NY-17 E and Palisades Interstate Pkwy S. We strongly recommend a 4x4 or a car with four-wheel drive, especially in winter, to handle snow and gravel roads.



Other Things to Note:

Please note: The home does not have any window curtains or blinds installed. Guests who prefer darker sleeping spaces may want to bring a sleep mask. Wood fired amenities require guests to build a fire, and may take up to several hours to be ready for use. Break House invites you to slow down and enjoy these intentional features. It's worth the wait.
