Perched atop a hill on a scenic southern Kentucky farm, Oak Hill House is a private estate just minutes from Lake Cumberland and Somerset. Surrounded by rolling countryside, this spacious retreat accommodates up to 25 guests and is ideal for family gatherings, group trips, and retreats. Enjoy expansive grounds, multiple gathering spaces, and exceptional indoor and outdoor amenities in a peaceful rural setting.



The Space:

The home welcomes you with a grand foyer and front staircase leading into spacious, thoughtfully designed living areas. The main floor includes a comfortable living room and parlor, a well-equipped kitchen, and a large formal dining area perfect for shared meals.

Sleeping arrangements include:



Main floor:

• Primary bedroom with a king bed and ensuite bathroom with soaker tub and walk-in shower

• Additional sleeping area with two twin beds located inside the primary suite

• One bedroom with a queen bed

• Shared hall bathroom with tub/shower combo



Upper level:

• Four bedrooms, 3 with a king bed and 1 queen bed

• Two shared hall bathrooms with tub/shower combo



Lower level (basement):

• One bedroom with three bunk beds (full on bottom, twin on top)

• One additional sleeping area with a queen bed (not fully enclosed)

• Shared full bathroom with tub/shower combo

• Half bathroom



The basement is designed for entertainment and features a kitchen, pool table, ping-pong table, foosball table, and a large flat-screen TV with cable and DVD player.



Outside, guests can enjoy a spacious patio overlooking the property and pool, a seasonal pool bathroom, wide open green spaces, and multiple recreational areas including a covered picnic area, croquet course, tennis court, volleyball court, and gazebo. A dedicated conference room with seating for up to 50 guests and a smart TV is also available, making Oak Hill House ideal for retreats and group gatherings.

Guest Access:

Guests will enter through the front gates. Access codes will be provided 24 hours prior to check-in. Guests will have private access to the home and grounds during their stay.

Enjoy the best of both worlds at Oak Hill House — a quiet countryside retreat just 5 minutes from downtown Somerset. Explore local restaurants, boutiques, and attractions, then return to the privacy and space of your own estate. Lake Cumberland is nearby for boating, swimming, hiking, and unforgettable outdoor adventures.



Getting Around:

Oak Hill House is located on a private farm just outside Somerset, KY. Because of the rural setting, there is no nearby public transportation, and we strongly recommend guests plan to have a personal vehicle during their stay. The home offers ample on-site parking for multiple vehicles.



Ride-share services such as Uber and Lyft may operate in the Somerset area, but availability can be limited and wait times longer than in larger cities. For larger groups, coordinating carpools or arranging transportation in advance is recommended.

• Pool opened Memorial Day - Labor Day

• Pool maintenance occurs weekly and requires brief access to the yard area (when pool is open)

• Pool house bathroom is closed during the winter months and not available for guest use.

Events and parties are not permitted without prior written approval and cannot exceed 50 guests.

If you notify us of your intent to cancel prior to the end of the free cancellation period, 97% of your payment will be refunded. The remaining 3% reflects non-refundable credit card processing fees.
