Oak Hill House and Cabin together form a private countryside estate perched atop a hill on a scenic southern Kentucky farm, just minutes from Lake Cumberland and approximately 5 minutes from Somerset. Surrounded by rolling farmland, the property offers privacy, space, and a wide variety of indoor and outdoor entertainment options — ideal for large groups, family gatherings, and organized retreats.

When booked together, the main house and cabin sleep up to 31 guests, allowing everyone to stay on the same property while still having room to spread out. Guests can enjoy shared amenities, expansive grounds, and multiple gathering spaces in a peaceful rural setting.

The Space:

Main House



The main house welcomes guests with a grand foyer and front staircase leading into spacious common areas. The main level features a comfortable living room and parlor, a well-equipped kitchen, and a large formal dining area ideal for group meals.

Sleeping arrangements in the main house include:



Main floor:

• Primary bedroom with a king bed and ensuite bathroom with soaker tub and walk-in shower

• Additional sleeping area with two twin beds located inside the primary suite

• One bedroom with a queen bed

• Shared hall bathroom with tub/shower combo



Upper level:

• Four bedrooms, 3 with a king bed and 1 queen bed

• Two shared hall bathrooms with tub/shower combo



Lower level (basement):

• One bedroom with three bunk beds (full on bottom, twin on top)

• One additional sleeping area with a queen bed (not fully enclosed)

• Shared full bathroom with tub/shower combo

• Half bathroom



The basement is designed for entertainment and features a kitchen, pool table, ping-pong table, foosball table, and a large flat-screen TV with cable and DVD player.



The cabin is located behind the main house on the same property, offering additional private sleeping space for guests. From the rear of the buildings, guests can step out onto a large patio overlooking the grounds.



The cabin includes:

• Two bedrooms, each with a queen bed

• 1 full bathroom

• Comfortable living and gathering space with pull-out sofa bed



Outdoor & Shared Amenities

Guests booking the entire property enjoy access to expansive outdoor spaces and shared amenities, including:

• Large patio areas with scenic views

• Covered picnic area

• Croquet course

• Tennis/Pickle ball court

• Volleyball/badminton court

• Gazebo

• Gas grill with propane

• Conference / meeting room with seating for up to 50 guests and a smart TV

Guest Access:

Guests will enter through the front gates. Access codes will be provided 24 hours prior to check-in. Guests will have private access to the home and grounds during their stay.

Oak Hill Property is located just 5 minutes from downtown Somerset, offering easy access to local restaurants, shops, and attractions. Guests enjoy the convenience of being close to town while staying in a peaceful countryside setting with plenty of space and privacy. The property is also just minutes from Lake Cumberland, making it an ideal location for group getaways, reunions, and retreats.



Getting Around:

The Oak Hill Estate is situated in a quiet countryside setting just minutes from Somerset and Lake Cumberland. Due to the rural location, public transportation is not available, and having a vehicle is the most convenient way to explore the area.



The property provides generous on-site parking for large groups and multiple vehicles. While ride-share services like Uber and Lyft may be available in Somerset, service can be inconsistent, so advance planning is encouraged — especially for larger gatherings or events.



Other Things to Note:

• Pets are not permitted

• Furniture may not be moved

• Pool opened Memorial Day - Labor Day

• Pool maintenance occurs weekly and requires brief access to the yard area (when pool is open)

• Pool house bathroom is closed during the winter months and not available for guest use.

Events and parties are not permitted without prior written approval and cannot exceed 50 guests.

If you notify us of your intent to cancel prior to the end of the free cancellation period, 97% of your payment will be refunded. The remaining 3% reflects non-refundable credit card processing fees.
