The Space:
What we love about this space:
* Simplicity of Ground floor 1 level condo is low on hassle to off load & go to beach. No gate hassles, parking in front.
* Beach walk with a wagon (we recommend you bring) is simple. Just over a half a block to public beach access where you can rent an umbrella & chairs, or use your own pop up.
* Renovations of new stone white counters, appliances & some furniture coupled with a truly professional cleaning service make it feel fresh & healthy inside. The kitchen will save you time & money and has all dishes, pots, pans, etc. plus full sized appliances
* Outside patio is very nice to just walk out with the plywood Adirondacks. From there you get a peek-a-boo view of the pool & sundeck that’s 30 feet away
* Abundant sleeping space for families quite above average. Exact sleeping space is a king in master (with ensuite full bath) & a queen over queen adult sized bunk bed plus a single trundle pull out. Additionally in living room you will find a small pull out couch just in case that will sleep up to 8 if you are considering kiddos
If you are traveling with a group or more family, we manage 6 condos at Habitat and can assist to book entire group here at one spot. Message us for details and/or pricing
We always try think of the best possible amenities a family would enjoy here, such as a washer & dryer (rare find!) & well equipped kitchen for cooking.
With an eat in counter to do some work on your laptop plus good seating space sleeper sofa & smart TV to wind down to a memorable family game or move night or enjoy some margaritas.
About the Location:
The Habitat Condos on South Padre Island, while an older complex is very well maintained with a clean exterior (non heated) pool open year round. Message us for pool hours if interested. Up the stairs from the pool is a unique sun deck for more privacy for adults.
You can easily walk to Kelly’s Irish Pub at end of street for many drink specials as well as late night menu if you get hungry. Do-able walks would be Sea Turtle Inc (largest sea turtle rehab project on Gulf Coast), Cigar Bar for music & drinks, or a tad further but ok if on beach is Clayton’s Beach Bar, Bar Louie, or Barry’s Beach Bar.
Habitat is a 2 level condo complex with about 20 condos towards the north end of the Island and Clayton’s Beach Bar.
Condo is professionally cleaned and maintained by South Padre Island Trips, the absolute top rated management company on the island.
We offer significant off-season discounts (Sept 15–Dec 15), plus special pricing for veterans and active-duty military. Message us anytime for a quote—we’d love to host you.
This condo has several pieces of new furniture, new appliances, and some recent other updates. This space however is not a brand new remodel and is reasonable price to reflect this reality.
You’ll also find:
Fresh, clean towels and linens
A Starter set of toiletries like soaps and trash bags (though not unlimited or replenished)
Coffee, filters, creamer, sweetener, tea, cooking spray, salt & pepper (also not restocked mid-stay)
For stays 3+ nights, you may exchange towels and linens for free at our office at South Padre Island Trips at 2600 Padre Blvd which is Open 7 days a week and we do feature 24/7 phone support—a rarity among local hosts.
House Rules & Policies
To ensure a comfortable stay for all guests, please review and agree to the house rules:
*Primary renter must be 23+ and present at check-in
*Guests under 23 must message first—additional deposit requirements apply
*Up to 2 pets are allowed, please inquire before booking on additional rules & fees pertaining to dogs.
*Quiet property with security patrols at night the Quiet hours: 10 pm–9 am and therefore No loud music at any time
No smoking. No parties. No exceptions.
Check-in: 3 pm | Check-out: 11 am
City of South Padre rental license number available on request
There is space for one full sized 4 door truck OR two tiny vehicles reserved off the street. Unfortunately Habitat does not have guest parking (a drawback to note) however extra free parking can be found generally at the SPI Convention Center or just down Gulf Blvd (if not a weekend)
Rental Agreement & Check-In
To comply with city rules, all guests must sign a short rental agreement and provide a photo ID after booking. This Agreement is e-signed and emailed to you. Once completed, we’ll issue your electronic door cod on day of check in Door codes are texted to the phone on file by 3 pm on arrival day We cannot release codes earlier so cleaning and parking remain on schedule
If you’re hoping for early check-in, contact us around 1 pm on arrival day—we’ll accommodate if we can but not guaranteed. Please contact us.
