La unidad 101, un condominio de esquina en alquiler en West Maui de 1 brm 1 1/2 ba hará que sus vacaciones en Maui sean como estar en casa. Desde su lanai de alquiler de vacaciones privado, puede ver las hermosas puestas de sol o relajarse con el sonido de las olas del océano. Estás a pocos pasos de nuestra playa de arena! ¡101 es el único condominio en Makani Sands con una ventana en la cocina y en el baño principal! Tammy had sent an e-mail with all the info that was needed for check-in, office hours & vehicle parking permit.It was dark when we arrived & the hallway to the condo could sure use a light! We noticed that the condo was older than what we expected. Bed was very comfortable! The kitchen was quite small & the amenities where okay, but struggled with the toaster, the lever would not stay down to toast, had to hold it down. Opening the drapes to the lanai with the ocean waves crashing up against the wall was awesome! Condo location was great, just like the picture showed.

I have been all over the island and done all the activity, staying here makes it nice to stay at home for the day, you have it all right there, snorkeling with turtles, you can take your paddle board out, sunsets are stunning.

An amazing location! Will recommend & stay again.

Debbie & Tammy were amazing! The apartment is excellent and equipped with a washer and dryer (very helpful when island hopping on holiday). The sliding doors open onto the common area which faces the sea. We regularly saw green turtles swim right in front and got some amazing shots. You could also see whale breaches in the distance directly in front of this apartment. Our stay was great and Tammy gave us a few Christmas ornaments as a memento of our trip that will go up on our 2025 Christmas tree.I ended up having 2 slipped discs, mistaken as sciatic pain, and they were empathetic, provided me with a cold water bottle to rub to ease the pain. My gratitude to Tammy & Debbie for their hospitality and kindness.The apartment and location are excellent and the turtles and whales were icing on the cake that made our stay memorable. We also saw the reflection of the moon on the sea early in the morning. It was amazing! I would highly recommend staying here and will stay again when I visit next. Mahalo!

My Maui vacation in Paradise

This is the best vacation my wife and I have ever taken in our 55 years of marriage. The unit we had was on the ground floor, less than 30 feet from the waters edge. The ocean view and gentle sound of the waves where so relaxing. Our unit had every thing you would need and the complex had tables with chairs and lounges overlooking the beach and the beautiful multi shade blue ocean, built in gas bar BQ's for steaks, fish and chicken. One day I went snorkeling just 25 feet from shore of the complex and saw several turtles and tropical fish without having to travel anywhere by car. It was my first time snorkeling and was an amazing experience I will never forget. I am already planning my next vacation to come back here for next year. When you find paradise you must try to come back as many times as you can. I just can't stop smiling every time I think of my stay in Maui and at Makani Sands.

Breathtaking views in a nice condo community

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay at Makani Sands. Everything from check in to check out was a cinch. The house is well stocked with all the usual kitchen/bath/sleep necessities as well as beach chairs, towels and snorkels for your adventures. The reef out front of the unit is fun to snorkel around. Go out first thing in the AM when the tide is low so you can venture out even further. Chances are you’ll spot a turtle or two! It’s far enough away from the mega condos to feel a little slower and it’s close enough to walk to the stores, restaurants and food truck roundup. Tammy was very nice and helpful. The corner unit offered two additional windows that the center units wouldn’t have. Even though it was hot, that cross breeze was helpful when turning in for the night. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again when in Maui.

Beautiful location

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Amazing location, quiet and peaceful for the most part. Our specific unit, 101, was quite dirty and cluttered with stuff. The closests were full of random things for maintenance. There is also NO air conditioner which was unclear at booking. The grounds are nice- great ocean access for snorkeling, BBQs with a sunset view and the pool was fun for the kids. The view from your unit will be amazing and you are likely to see turtles swimming by. The emoloyees were all pleasant and helpful and they keep the grounds clean. Fellow guests can make or break your stay as this is a small complex. Great neighbors at the beginning of our stay followed by a nightmare group including some staying directly above us in 201 and 301 the last nights of our stay. Yelling outside our unit to one another during quiet hours and smoking at the non smoking property. Overall I would recommend staying here and note that all the units are unique so pick one that has what you are looking for.

Aloha Elizabeth, Thank you for the review.I always appreciate honest feedback from guests.If you had loud neighbors I wish you would have reported it to my resident manager. We have on site 24 hour management for this exact reason. This condo was recently deep cleaned so I am not sure how it could have been quite dirty. Most condos on the West side do not have AC. Next time you book I suggest you call and talk to the rental manager to be sure you have a place with AC. Mahalo, Tammy

There is so much stuff in the closets that we had nowhere to put our suitcases or things. My husband opened a drawer in the master bath and drawer front twisted in his hand. Front door knob does not lock. The chair in the dining room had a screw sticking up into the seat. The light in the dining room did not work. The toilets were running and screaming when we got there, which was fixed. The garbage disposal did not work, they fixed it. The dishwasher door would not stay open. The bed WAY too big for the room. The light over the bed does not work. The kitchen cabinets are in TERRIBLE shape. The shower faucet is loose. It might be leaking in the wall. Table on deck has a broken leg. It sits on a rock. The drapes are falling off the hooks in both rooms. Can't get them closed all the way. Flood light outside of unit flashes on and off all night.I would recommend the property but NOT this unit.

Whales, Water, Wind, Waves - What a Wonderful Week

A lovely home away from home, but better because it is on Maui! The louvered windows opened to keep the ocean breeze flowing through the suite, and the lovely sound of waves permeating it. Close enough to walk to interesting things to do, yet far enough away to not be busy. We were able to sit in the lanai, or on the terrace, and watch whales - so exciting and entertaining. I went in the water out front everyday to play in the waves and enjoy the ocean - I appreciated the outside shower to wash off after my dips. We were also consumed by the flowers, the trees, the birds, the geckos in the yard, green spaces - so beautiful. All the staff were helpful and pleasant. Luckily, our week was sunny and warm - we were grateful for the ice in the freezer - it kept our water bottles cool, even in the lovely heat. I hope to return, so many good memories...I hope to make more!!

Maui 2022 much needed vacation

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed at Makani Sands for 41 years........Our trip was fabulous and for the most part, so was Makani Sands. We were in 101 for the second week and found the unit in need of some updating, repair, and insect control. Unfortunately the kitchen was in need of some basic culinary equipment and the sofa needed cleaning - smelled horrible. We appreciated the corner unit with extra windows, 2nd bathroom, etc. but overall it needs an update. Tammy was fabulous.

Great location

The condo was nice and cozy. The location was close to nice beaches and snorkeling spots.

Clean condo

Condo was everything you would want clean and had all the small things you will need for a stay, (beach towels. Snorkeling equip, dishes) only thing is there is NO BEACH OUT BACK, the picture they show is either from years ago when they had a beach or another property beach. We did see whales and turtles almost daily, condo was clean although cable was out in the bedroom told fron office on day one, day nine on check out still not working but this seems to be the cable provider issue not the condos.

Great Stay!

This was our first time in Hawaii for our family. The condo was very comfortable and we felt very safe. We loved having the ocean steps from our back door. We drank tea out on the porch every morning and evening and watched the whales. Just the sound of the waves crashing all day was amazing. The water comes right up to the wall so there was no beach. The stairs to get up and down are also blocked off. We had no issues finding parking in the parking lot and the kids loved the heated pool. The condo has a washer and dryer that we used during our stay. Having two bathrooms was great for our family. The kitchen had everything needed to cook meals, even a rice cooker! The gas grills are steps from the unit and we used them many times. They were super convenient. We were very comfortable at Makani Sands and would stay again. The unit has no AC, but there are several fans and plenty of windows. The unit also has plenty of sheets and blankets available. This building is within walking distance of the playground and a few shops. We had an amazing first trip to Hawaii and we can't wait to return.
