Esto de dos dormitorios, dos baños tiene una planta libre y le da la sensación de un ático. Sala de estar y la cocina están hundidos con una gran terraza espaciosa; vista totalmente despejada de la playa y el océano. La habitación del segundo piso es un gran loft con vistas a la planta baja. Puestas de sol todo el año. The view was amazing and you cannot get any closer to the ocean! The condo was great and as described/pictured. The resort is small, which makes it quiet. My only critique for the condo itself is that there is only one key that works for the condo and the pool that you also have to use to get out of the pool area and it would be nice if there were 2. There is no AC in the unit…we were there in November and just used the 2 box fans and the standing fan and kept the windows open all the time and it was fine. The only downside to the facility was that there is a group of people that either live there full time or are condo owners that are there a lot that make you feel like they are “watching” you. The condo management was very easy to work with and communicated prior to the trip about a small issue that ended up not being an issue for us at all!

We had a good stay overall, with some great strengths and a few drawbacks.The unit is wonderfully quiet — we heard almost no people noise, even with the windows open 24/7. They did need to stay open because the space heats up quickly without airflow, but with the breeze it was comfortable.The location is fantastic: close to restaurants, shops, and excursions. Pool and beach access are lovely, with lounge chairs, picnic tables, and BBQs. There’s a sign asking guests to go shoeless, but barefoot soles turned black quickly. We also kept finding mystery sand in the loft — possibly termite frass. A couple rugs would help with comfort and cleanliness.Bedding is all polyester/microfiber. We had an odd exchange with the owner insisting the sheets were a cotton blend despite the polyester label. Replacement sheets were also polyester, so we gave up. If you prefer cotton, bring your own.The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and cookware. Consumables seem to be cleared between guests, so bring cooking oil and basics. There was salt, pepper, a few spices, chocolates, and a small bag of coffee.Soaps and detergents are provided, but the laundry detergent is extremely scented and all linens/towels carried the smell. We bought unscented detergent. Washer/dryer work well for small loads.The unit is well maintained with a vintage 1980s Hawaii vibe. Comfortable king bed, decent seating for two, plus four Tommy Bahama chairs and a boogie board.

This condo has one of the best equipped kitchens we’ve ever stayed in. It was clean, comfortable and there is no better location right on the water. Only one comment…. There should be 2 door/pool keys especially in a 2 bedroom. Thank you and we will be back.

A view that cannot be beat.Ocean sounds throughout the day/nightClean comfortable accommodations.Incredible sunrise & sunsetsWatching turtles & manta rays from the grassy area was wonderful. You could even swim with them!While there was no AC, the fans helped circulate the flow of air, and kept it comfortable for sleeping.

Home away from home

Perfect for family of 4: parents and 2 teens.Best part is being right on the beach. Full kitchen and BBQ in front of beach makes meal prep easy.Older teen boy getting bigger so roll out sofa not as comfortable as before but not a big complaint.Easy walk to coffee, bakery, general store, snorkel rentals. Excellent communication on part of owner/ manager. Very relaxed environment, no crowds.

Can’t Wait To Return

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay very much! Some of the previous reviews made us a little nervous, but our experience was wonderful! The unit itself met all of our needs, beds for everyone, fully equipped kitchen, and the view could not be beat, we enjoyed sunset from the balcony each night! The pool & beach were great as well. We enjoyed how laid back & kind everyone was & enjoyed the proximity to coffee, restaurants, etc. A couple minor things, we could have used more pillows specifically for the extra bed in living room, the toaster does not work well, and it would be very nice to have a screen door on the front door for airflow, but nothing that changed our experience drastically at all. We hope to return to Maui in the future & would love to stay here again. It was pure heaven on earth!

Wonderful

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hale Mahina. The condo was in a great location, convenient to shops and restaurants. Amazing views of the beach from the balcony. Everything was clean and comfortable.

Vacation

The beauty of the view was the best thing sadly. This is my 14th time to the island and I’m sad to say this condo was the 1st one that I had stayed at that sadly has not put much back into their condo. For the price that is being charged it’s sad that an owner doesn’t invest a bit more into their place. All outside furniture was very unkept, glass top table was not cleaned, beach chairs rusted out and fabric completely tore on 1. Coffee pots were so so dirty and on the first brewed pot prior to us cleaning it was very bad taste. Tiles broke on entry stairs, missing tiles in main bathroom shower, floor upstairs right outside the bathroom had a pile of sand that was not cleaned up prior to our arrival, front bedroom had a roof leak that we reported and sadly the lack of communication that they even came and looked at the issue.

Wonderful Condo and Stay

Loved our stay in this location! When we arrived they had the TV's on with Hawaiian music playing and the windows opened for us to air the condo out and keep it cooler. This condo does not have AC. That didn't seem to bother us until the last two nights after the daytime temps had been a little higher and then the evening was a little more uncomfortable inside. We noticed other units had a steel screened door on the entryway which would be nice in this unit too because then you could get a nice cross breeze to keep it cooler inside. They provided everything we needed for our stay plus some which was such a lovely touch. We saw sea turtles everyday. We even saw whales for the first several days we were there which was incredible because it was towards the end of the season for them in this area. We brought our binoculars which made the whale and dolphin viewing much easier. The unit was pretty clean although the floors could have been cleaned a bit better and the garbage in the bathroom upstairs had never been emptied from the people before. The shower downstairs needs work because the stone tiles are coming up and I hope they repair it before someone cuts their feet on one. The beds are comfortable but the pillows are not. It was nice having the washer and dryer available in the unit but just keep in mind that running the dryer will make the unit feel warmer. The couch in the living area is extremely uncomfortable. Overall a wonderful stay and would stay again.

Maui's the best!

We've stayed several times at the Hale Mahina but first time in this unit. As with past stays, it didn't disappoint. Had a great time.

Amazing view! Outstanding location!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The place was exactly as listed. It was clean & had all the supplies we needed. We enjoyed watching the ocean from our balcony every night and morning. We enjoyed using the pool, hot tub, and charcoal grills. We played on the beach that is right there. Two of the days we had sea turtles up on the beach. Other days we saw them swimming. We loved the location. The stand fans were so nice to have so we didn't get too hot at night. We appreciated that there was dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, garbage bags, shampoo, soap, & conditioner. There were plenty of bath towels, and loved that there were beach towels too. The location was outstanding (so close to our favorite snorkeling beaches!!) We would definitely stay here again!!

Incredible location!!!

The view from this property was probably as good as one could hope for. Access to the pool and the little private beach was perfect! The only downside to the property was that there was no air conditioning, so we felt quite warm the majority of the time in the condo. Other than that, we loved it!!!

Beautiful ocean view, quick replies from hosts. Unfortunately only 1 parking spot with no option to pay for a 2nd stall. Overall great stay though.

Older unit, but excellent location. Very windy and there is some road noise, however the grounds and beach area were very enjoyable. Would stay here again.

Perfect

Location is great - it is a mix of full time residents short & long term renters - very friendly they have a happy hour ritual at sunset - turtles roll up on the beach - host had everything we needed with laundry, dish soap some everyday items so we didn’t have to buy some of the everyday stuff - everything was perfect!

Not for families

If you are an entitled 70+ year old, this is a place for you! Our family stayed at this property many years ago, and really enjoyed it so we returned. This time we were met with many of the condo owners, which happened to be elderly people who do not enjoy guests at ‘their’ property. We were treated so poorly and made to feel so uncomfortable it was hard to enjoy the property. We definitely won’t be returning and I regret having recommended Hale Mahina to people previously. Save yourself thousands of dollars and go someplace you’ll feel welcome!
