Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing. My family owns multiple homes in Assateague Pointe, and we’ve stayed in several rentals throughout the community over the years. We’ve never had an experience like this.When we arrived, the home was missing basic necessities, including toilet paper, paper towels, a kitchen sponge, dish detergent, a kitchen trash can, and enough bath towels for our family. The home also did not appear to be thoroughly cleaned, as there were numerous ants throughout the house along with dead ants and other bugs in several corners.I contacted the property manager shortly after check-in, exactly as instructed. Although they responded and asked for photos, none of the issues were resolved during our stay. The missing supplies were never delivered, and the cleanliness and pest concerns were never addressed.For the price we paid, we expected a clean, well-stocked rental and responsive customer service. Instead, we spent part of our vacation dealing with problems that should have been resolved before we arrived.The location and community are wonderful, but this property fell well below the standard we’ve come to expect in Assateague Pointe.
