The "Großer Onkel" vacation home is located directly on the Schlei, overlooking the town’s historic boat moorings.
This bright and very comfortably furnished vacation apartment, part of a three-unit vacation home, is located on the upper floor of the house. Amenities include a small kitchen, a modern bathroom with a Jacuzzi whirlpool, an additional shower room, and a combined living-dining room with a wood-burning stove, as well as a sleeping loft offering views of the Baltic Sea on one side and the Schlei on the other.
The living area leads out to the large rooftop terrace.

The vacation rental is located in the center of the quaint seafaring and fishing village of Maasholm. Several restaurants, a café, a grocery store, and a bakery are just a few meters away.
Just a few steps further, you can enjoy nature and tranquility at any time—in the picturesque marshland or on the stunning Baltic Sea beaches, unspoiled by mass tourism.
Water sports enthusiasts particularly appreciate Maasholm: there is a large marina and a popular surf school right on site.
In addition to walks and bike rides—for example, through the Geltinger Birk—day trips to the surrounding area are well worth it.
Kappeln (about a 10-minute drive) offers a lovely setting for a leisurely stroll. Discover other charming towns along the Schlei—such as Arnis or Lindaunis.
Flensburg (about a 40-minute drive) entices visitors with its merchant courtyards, the museum harbor, and maritime charm. Schleswig, Eckernförde, and Kiel are other charming destinations for day trips.
