Ernst Baier, known as Germany's most successful ice dancer and Olympic champion, was also a talented painter and architect. He created this special chalet in the best mountain view location to spend relaxing and creative hours here. In this historic ambience, a mountain retreat awaits you for your vacation happiness far away from everyday life.

Enjoy the panoramic view

The property is built on the steep slope in a wonderful location above the village. Once you have climbed the impressive 61 steps on the outside stairway (without elevator) up to the top floor, you will be more than compensated by the mountain panorama with views of the Hausberg, the Zugspitze and the Karwendel mountains.

Unique living space

The living room impresses with an illuminated wooden shelf over 4 m high with a small library, a desk, a separate terrace and a view of the mountains. Small, separate retreats for reading can be found on a lounger in the rear living room with a direct view of the beautiful surroundings or in one of the bedrooms, fitted into the wide window sill.

Relax and browse

You will find interesting books in the small library, which you can enjoy on the large (27 m²) or small (9 m²) veranda. These are ideal places to end the day with your loved ones and enjoy the sunset.

Culinary delights

In the large kitchen, there is plenty of room for everyone at the oak table or the kitchen island. From here, you can take in the magnificent mountain scenery or admire the impressive ski jump in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The professional stainless steel kitchen has all the necessary household appliances including a dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and a kitchen island with seating for three. A coffee machine and Nespresso machine, an egg stove and a toaster are also available.

Comfortable bedrooms

The chalet has two bedrooms with a 2 m wide double bed and a 1.80 m wide double bed, each with separate mattresses, as well as another separate room with a desk and a 1 m wide bed on the gallery. This room also has its own washbasin with mirror and shelves. All bedrooms have sufficient wardrobe space and all beds are equipped with reading lights.

Luxury in the bathroom

The stylish bathroom is equipped with beautiful river stone washbasins, a bathtub, a glass shower and an infrared back radiator. There is also a washing machine cleverly concealed under the wooden table.

Exclusively for pianists

As a special offer for pianists, the use of a grand piano can be arranged on request and for a small fee. This has a mute function with headphones so that intensive practising is also possible if required.
