Nearby, just a few minutes’ drive away, there are numerous recreational opportunities, including an open-air museum, a big-game park, a golf course, swimming pools, and more. You can set out on short and longer hikes right from the house; there are numerous beautiful hiking trails (Eifelschleifen, Eifelspuren) as well as a well-developed network of bike paths. There is a train station in the town center; the regional train runs every half hour, making it easy to reach surrounding towns as well as Cologne and Bonn.
