Discover our 222 m² safari-inspired mountain chalet, where every room tells its own adventure story. The light-filled living spaces are adorned with our personal wildlife photographs from African safaris, creating a striking contrast to the spectacular views of the Zugspitze from your private balconies.

Our extraordinary retreat spans 3 floors and offers:
- A spacious living area with panoramic mountain views and African-inspired design
- A game room with a pool table, foosball, and a cozy lounge area
- A high-end kitchen equipped with premium Miele appliances
- 5 stylishly furnished rooms, 3 of which feature luxurious bathrooms
- Several balconies with breathtaking views of the Wetterstein Massif
- Cozy rooms with underfloor heating and natural wood accents

The Experience
Just as a safari lodge serves as a base camp for wildlife adventures, Mountain Safari is your starting point for alpine exploration tours. Start your day with a cup of coffee on the balcony and watch as the morning light illuminates the Zugspitze—almost like an African sunrise over the Serengeti. After a day of hiking, skiing, or exploring (hiking maps included!), your cozy retreat awaits, where African hospitality meets Bavarian charm.

Your temporary home
The entire three-story chalet includes:
- First floor: Open-concept living area, kitchen, dining area, and guest restroom
- First floor: Master bedroom with en suite bathroom, two additional bedrooms, shared bathroom
- Attic: Studio with balcony access, bedroom with en suite bathroom
- Basement: Spacious storage area for ski and outdoor gear

Your hosts
We are Katie (American) and Fabian (German), and together with our son Noah, we’ve created a place that combines our love for the majestic Bavarian Alps and the wild beauty of African safaris. Our honeymoon in Africa forged a lasting connection to this fascinating continent, which we’ve woven into this mountain retreat through authentic wildlife photographs from our travels.

As a German-American family that loves both mountain adventures and African safaris, we’ve combined our passions into something truly unique. Our son Noah is growing up immersed in both cultures and with a deep appreciation for the wonders of nature—whether on the savanna or in the Alps. We look forward to sharing this special blend of cultures and experiences with you!
