Nice and responsive hosts Nice place for a family vacation. Great kitchen.. Everything you need to get to the beach is included (chairs, umbrellas, tags). We would come back.

Great House

Really fun time at a super nice house and great location. Walk 4 blocks to Ocean Grove beach and it’s an easy walk along boardwalk to Asbury Park beach, bars and restaurants. Julie was a fantastic host. House has everything you need including beach chairs, bikes, etc.

Best Shore Week in 2 Years!

This was our first week long stay in Ocean Grove and we loved it! Julie communicated early with info for our upcoming stay and was responsive to our questions. The walk was easy to the beach and we rode bikes everywhere, including all the restaurants and activities in Asbury Park. Sea Star is cozy and fit our family of 7, 2 of the bedrooms were perfect for our 4 kids and we loved the primary suite. The available bikes and beach gear was a big plus as well!

A lovely Ocean Grove get-away

This house is well-kept, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. All amenities were as described. We especially enjoyed the outdoor spaces. The kitchen contained everything we needed for food prep (we did a lot of our own cooking). Julie is a fantastic host - her communications were timely, helpful, and very kind. There are narrow stairs and low ceiling to get to second floor, and AC window units (a little noisy but kept house nice and cool), all typical for Ocean Grove. The location is great - beautiful wide street, quiet friendly neighborhood, lots of parking close by (not always a given in OG!), easy walk to the beach. Highly recommended!

Wonderful Family Beach Vacation

Had a great time at this property. It’s a vintage building with many modern upgrade. Just a few blocks from the boardwalk and the beach. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a family getaway at the Shore!

Lovely Stay

We had a lovely stay. The house was very comfortable and clean. All amenities you could need for a beach getaway. We appreciated the outdoor patio area for bbq and family meals. Town and the beach were just a short walk from the house plus there was plenty of parking for our cars. Very relaxing trip! Don't hesitate to book!

Just Perfect!

We had a wonderful week at the Sea Star Cottage. The house is beautifully updated, bright and spotlessly clean. The front porch was our go-to spot for our morning coffee, to relax, chat with neighbors and just enjoy the neighborhood goings-on. The house is fully stocked with everything you need to cook or bbq. The fact that it is pet-friendly was a huge bonus - our dog had the time of her life hanging on the porch and being within 5 blocks of the beach. We will definitely be back. Book with confidence - you won't be disappointed!

Wonderful two weeks

Gorgeous vacation in OG

My destination wedding had been postponed this year due to the pandemic and Julie’s home at 74 Webb ave provided my family with a beautiful vacation as a consolation. We had a gorgeous week of family dinners on the patio after long days on the beach. We were so sad to leave. The house is very well equipped and comfortable, and made us feel right at home. We will definitely be back!

Lovely week

Like many other guests have said, this house is much bigger than it looks in the photos (and from the street). It's perfectly appointed--comfortable furniture and beds, great decor, plenty of bathrooms, lovely renovated kitchen that is easy to cook in, a good book collection, and a great outdoor area (where we ate dinner every night) and porch (where we had coffee every morning and played Scrabble in the evenings). The house is located on a quiet, pretty block that is an easy walk or bike ride to the beach (props for the beach cruisers provided!), and we loved that our dog was welcome to join us. Julie, the host, was super responsive and helpful. Our only two small quibbles: no outdoor shower and no clothesline, but all in all, it was a great stay and we would love to rent it again!

Thank you so much for the kind review! You all are welcome back anytime! We had provided a clothesline previously but it proved a bit messy as the line would be visible from the street. I will get a foldable drying rack that can be used either indoors or out to help. Thank you for the suggestion!

Great location, adorable home

We stayed here over the Christmas holiday and we really enjoyed our visit. The home is adorable and is very comfortable. It's clean, well-stocked and was located just a few short blocks to downtown Ocean Grove and the beach. Julie was easy to reach and very accommodating (we needed to extend our stay one day and asked for a later check-out). The newly updated kitchen was great and the beds were comfortable. The street is nice and quiet, and the homes were beautifully decorated for Christmas-it was really quaint and helped make the holidays special despite not being in our own home. We would enjoy staying here again-perhaps in the summer to enjoy sitting on the porch and the great beach town. Thank you Julie for your hospitality!

Another wonderful stay in Ocean Grove

This was our second stay at this property and once again it was perfect. The house provided plenty of room for visiting friends and family and the location is ideal for walking anywhere either in or out of the Grove. The house has all the amenities to make the stay easy and comfortable. Loved sitting on the large porch and watching the world go by. Beds are comfortable, room configuration excellent and the house great for just 2 or up to 8 people. Added bonus was beach chairs in the basement. Hope to return again.
