Acerca de este alojamiento
Casa Bertossa by Interhome
tipo de edificio: casa individual.
The 19th century house is located in the centre of the picturesque village of Soazza in southern Graubünden. The living rooms, bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and separate WC have been renovated and are spread over three floors. The house can comfortably accommodate 8 people. InteriorOn the ground floor is the entrance to the cellar from the village street. In addition to wood for the fireplace and a workbench, there is a Töggli box for indoor sports activities. The house entrance is located behind the house with access to the first floor. The staircase with a cloakroom leads to the spacious living room with a cosy sitting area and a large dining table next to the fireplace. For rainy days or a cosy games evening, there are plenty of board games, card games and puzzles for young and old.The living room and kitchen are connected. The kitchen is equipped with a ceramic hob, oven, fridge and dishwasher. There is enough crockery and cookware for full occupancy. Various household appliances such as a coffee machine, blender, meat slicer, toaster and microwave oven complete the kitchen equipment. The bedrooms are spread over the second and third floors. They are simply and functionally furnished with two single beds, a bedside table, clothes stand and a small rack. There is a smaller room on the second floor with just one bed. The bathroom with bathtub, shower curtain, WC and washbasin is located on the third floor. A small washing machine is also located here. The separate WC is located between the first and second floors. The floors are connected by a stone staircase. During the renovation, attention was paid to the choice of materials in keeping with the house and the neighbourhood. Granite from the Calanca Valley was used for the kitchen and marble from the Maggia Valley for the bathroom. WLAN is installed in the house. In addition to the fireplace, free-standing electric heaters in each room ensure the desired temperature. The use of bed linen, toilet and kitchen towels is included in the price. Outside areaThe house is situated on the narrow village street in the centre of the village. As is usual in the villages of southern Switzerland, the houses are close together or built next to each other. Neighbours greet each other from window to window and have a little chat. At the entrance, a tiny space offers the opportunity to set up a small garden table with a few chairs. The spacious outdoor area is located below the village on the Moesa river. This is where the stable and pastures belonging to the house are located. The stable has also been gently renovated, but is unfurnished apart from a wooden table with benches. The place by the rushing river with its large and small boulders invites you to linger, swim and play. The table and benches can be set up outside and - provided there is no fire ban due to the risk of forest fires - a fire can be lit in the rocks. The wood can be found in the surrounding deciduous forest. Cars can be parked free of charge at the Centro Culturale (former railway station), a 3-minute walk from the house. You can drive to the house for loading and unloading. Village and surroundingsSoazza is a village in the Misox, the valley that connects Bellinzona with the San Bernardino Pass. Although it is easily accessible from the north and south via the A13 motorway, you can find peace and quiet here and discover many a gem in the village centre. Soazza is also an ideal starting point for hikes along the former railway line on the Sentiero della Valle. Those who prefer a more alpine experience will be in their element on the Sentiero Alpino high-altitude trail. In summer, there are many beautiful hiking routes on the San Bernardino Pass, the crossing from the Misox to the Hinterrhein, which was used by the Romans. However, the Misox is not only great for exploring on foot, but also by bike. The 7th stage of the Graubünden Route No. 6 leads from San Bernardino to Bellinzona. Those who love fast descents will get their money's worth at the start of the route via the steep serpentine to just before Mesocco. From there, the route continues at a more leisurely pace, along side roads past the defiant castle of Mesocco, through tranquil hamlets and along the Moesa down the valley to Bellinzona. An excursion to the neighbouring Calanca valley with its wonderful nature park, the smallest in Switzerland, is also worthwhile. Soazza is on the Grand Tour (St. Moritz-Lugano stage) and therefore on the way to nearby Ticino. ShoppingThere is a Coop and a butcher's shop with excellent products in the neighbouring village of Mesocco. There are further shopping facilities down the valley in Grono, Roveredo, Arbedo and Bellinzona. The nearest pharmacy is in Grono. Where to stop for a bite to eatPizzeria San Martino: The delicious pizzas are cooked in a wood-fired oven. From the terrace you can also enjoy a beautiful view of the church of San Martino. Take away also available. Grotto Verbi: The small, romantic grotto on the cantonal road up the valley offers simple hot and cold dishes and invites you to linger. Sitting at the long tables under the trees, you can really get into the holiday mood. Ristorante Boffalora: This attractive restaurant with a cosy garden terrace near the roaring waterfall is located on the cantonal road down the valley. The food is freshly prepared using local produce and the service is extremely friendly.Other living room facilities (living room 1): Dining table with 8-10 seatsOther bedroom furnishings (bedroom1): clothes rack, shelf, sofa, 2 chairs
