This property was a dream come true! Even better in person than the pictures. The decor and amenities are next level and the property is so peaceful- being able to hear the creek while laying poolside or enjoying the porch was unmatched. Only bummer was that our stay wasn’t longer! Would absolutely love to come back.

Beautiful Home Easy Walk to Woodstock

Our family with four adult children and spouses rented this beautiful home for the Fourth of July weekend. The house is perfectly maintained and very well stocked (excellent kitchen with any and all cookware you could ever need). The property owner was super helpful and responsive. The outdoor spaces are spectacular with a gorgeous creek, hot tub, pool and more!! There is so much space that two people were able to work full days while the rest of the crew relaxed. There are two kitchens and a game area so the younger and more "fun" adults could stay up as late as they wanted without disturbing anyone. The fire pit was perfect for the innumerable s'mores everyone devoured. We made so many happy memories and can't recommend this home any more highly!

Woodstock's Crown Jewel

Every aspect of the process of booking and check-out were smooth and easy thanks to the wonderful owner and host. The home is every bit as stunning in person as they are in the pictures. The number of unique spaces and attention to detail is impeccable through the home. The fireplace in the main living room will fast become your favorite place to chill on a cold winter night. The master bedroom is huge with everything you could need. Add to that the incredible swedish sauna and steam shower plus the hot tub and you have what is one of the best homes in Woodstock.

Beautiful, eclectic home

We had a wonderful 5 day stay with extended family. Kate’s home is full of personality and radiates warmth. We loved using the sauna and steam room, fire pit, trampoline and playing ping pong. There are so many bedrooms and bathrooms, it was perfect and spacious for our group of 6 adults and 4 kids. The town is walking distance but there is no sidewalk, so we chose to drive most of the time. We hired a chef to cook for us one night and also had family photos done in the backyard. Kate is super communicative and went above and beyond to be helpful. She even bought us a high chair and gave lots of advice as I put together our itinerary. We couldn’t have picked a better home and location for our family trip. Thank you Kate!

Wonderful stay in Woodstock

Kate's property is very cute and quirky. The house was quite comfortable for our group (8 adults) and the backyard is idyllic with the running river and plenty of space. Excellent location close to everything in Woodstock. Kate is also very communicative and helpful as needed. We had a great time!

This house was better than imagined. Every detail is considered and Kate, the owner, takes hospitality very seriously. She was extremely accommodating. We will definitely stay again.

A lovely getaway

We spent two weeks in Kate's beautifully decorated home. The amenities and attention to detail were greatly appreciated. Kate was super responsive and friendly. The location is ideal. Wonderful shops and restaurants within walking distance while being nestled in a forest with a charming creek as a backdrop. We loved it.

Wonderful experience!

The house and property was definitely the nicest Upstate place I’ve stayed in! It was even nicer than the photos. The place was incredibly clean. Everything worked. My contact with the house manager was great! We definitely would go back!

Incredible home and host!

Kate’s house is just incredible and our family had the best time here over Labor Day weekend. The house is charming and beautifully decorated. We came to Woodstock as a surprise 40th birthday for my son and between the 8 adults and 5 little children in our group, the house still had ample room for us all. We spent most of our weekend in the pool (heated to perfection), on the screened in porch listening to the stream at the edge of the property, and in the gorgeous two floor family room complete with a ping pong table. We had beautiful weather most days to enjoy the property and the town (just a short car ride or 12 min walk away). On the last day it poured and we loved the excuse to lay on the porch listening to the rain and the water of the stream. House aside, Kate is an excellent host. She was super responsive and available and the friendliest, too. We hope to be back to stay at this amazing home!

Perfect Week

House was perfect for ma family of 10 (ages 2 to 90) week away; coffee in the am by the stream, days at the pool, evenings in the hot tub and cocktails by the fire pit or on the screened in porch. Everything was as pictured and described and Kate was an excellent host

Great Family Spot

Great location, beautiful home, so many special features: pool, creek, hot tub, trampoline, ping pong, etc. Our grandkids had something to do each and every day and the adult children did too! And, best of all, Kate, the owner, was extremely helpful with anything we needed. I highly recommend this home for families or three couples just looking for a great vacation!

Perfection in Woodstock

Our group of 10 adults had an incredible time at Kate’s house. Kate was an amazing host and did a great job communicating with us throughout our stay. The house was beautiful and had everything we could possibly want; everyone had a lot of fun in the pool, hot tub and creek, and the sun room offered the perfect place for everyone to relax. On top of that, the town of Woodstock was a quick walk down the road. Can’t wait to come back and stay at Kate’s house again.

Very cool house, excellent host communication

We rented this property for an extended family celebration for my mom's 70th. The house has really amazing decor and lots of activities on the property (trampoline, bball hoop, hot tub, ping pong table). The proximity to downtown Woodstock is a huge plus! Only downsides were the outdoor heated pool was not able to be used due to colder than usual April temps, and some of the showers did not have great water pressure. The host was extremely responsive via text, and it's a special house!!! I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a special place for a group getaway!

Magical home

The owner of this property cares deeply about the guest experience. From pre-trip to post there was great care and communication. The house itself is private and magical—it is a special retreat for creatives. There are interesting found objects everywhere and a unique, quirky layout. Truly a wonderous place with a lovely owner.

Fantastic Family Fun

This home is exceptional on every level, from the spacious great room to well-appointed nooks and an outdoor space with a pool, fire place, hot tub and trampoline that slopes down to Mill Stream. Our kids even enjoyed the zip line. Kate was the best host we’ve ever encountered, always on the ball with communication and going out of her way to please. This property will blow your mind.

A perfect spot for a family reunion!

My husband and I choose this property to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with our two adult children, their spouses, and our three grandchildren - ages 2, 3, and 5. One family lives on the West Coast, and due to COVID, they hadn’t seen the 2 year old since she was an infant. Kate’s house was just perfect for everyone to relax and reconnect and for the cousins to bond. The bedrooms and bathrooms are beautifully appointed, with lots of nooks and crannies for our 5 year old pirate to explore! Each family had its own “wing” which made life with three small children very easy. Oh, and there is even a closet filled with games and another with craft materials! The downstairs is as spacious and lovely as it appears in the photos. The huge double living room and the wraparound porch are extremely. comfortable places for us all to hang out, talk, play ping pong, or just listen to the stream. Kate’s kitchen is fully and generously stocked, including numerous spices, condiments, staples, and every type of plate or serving dish we needed! The grounds are as spectacular as the house. We all spent hours enjoying the well-maintained pool and hot tub. The three little kids loved bouncing on the inground trampoline ; day after day, their skills improved and they had more and more fun each time. Catching minnows in the stream and roasting after dinner S’mores in the outdoor fire pit were special treats for these three little city kids. We all appreciated the privacy and serenity we felt outside. Kate was always available by phone and text to answer any questions, and she was lovely to work with both before we arrived and while we were there. We were very, very sorry to leave after our eleven nights and truly hope to return in the future! I highly recommend this home!

Amazing stay!

The house was like a fairytale with lots of staircases and reading books. The kids loved sleeping in the hideaway bedrooms. Lots of room for our family of 8. The outdoor area was incredible with a great pool, fire pit, trampoline and stream. We did some great hikes and had some great meals in Woodstock. Would definitely recommend!!!

Activity Packed Home Close to Town

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. 10 minute walk to town with a pool, stream, hammock, zip lines, trampoline, fire pit, projector, I could go on! My son didn't want to go home and neither did we. It was so relaxing sitting on the screened in porch and listening to the stream. Kate was such a wonderful host!

Lovely home minutes from hiking and dining

We had a spectacular week at this lovely home. Hard to imagine a better location, and the house and facilites are charming and unique, including the rushing creek right in the backyard! Host was helpful and attentive.

I purchased the house after looking for many years for just the right property. My little boy and walked in and just knew that it was our dream house! He was very into Harry Potter, and with 13 staircases and lots of cool little areas, this was magical! That is precisely the feeling here, the house has such a warm happy energy, we are continually thankful for it.
I grew up in upstate New York but work in Manhattan. I have found Woodstock to be the ideal getaway. 4 seasons of great restaurants, shopping, abundant activities, beautiful nature, art and music all within a couple of hours!

This property is one of my favorites in the town of Woodstock. I love that you can walk back and forth to the village of Woodstock at anytime of day yet still feel very private. The interior design has been thoroughly thought through with comfort and elegance. Lots of room to escape from your housemates and plenty of places to be altogether. Refreshed and relaxed is what you feel when you stay at this property.

Being on the Millstream is one of the most exciting aspects of this property. You get to enjoy it all year round from all spaces of the home. You can jump in, cool off during the summer, sit, listen to it during the fall or watch it transform in the winter into a winter wonderland.
