Lago Bellaire Log Cabin

Tranquilo, acogedor, tranquilo y apartado, la cabina de registro actualizado en la esquina sureste del hermoso lago de Bellaire. Disfrutar de la playa de arena y aguas cristalinas del lago de Bellaire, o llevar su barco y recorrer el Grass Lake Nature Preserve, a través del río de la hierba en su camino al Lago de la antorcha, Elk Lake y mucho más! Para los golfistas, Shanty Creek y campeonatos de golf está a sólo minutos de distancia. Idealmente situado a sólo 30 + minutos de Turtle Creek Casino y Traverse City, a 90 minutos de la ciudad de Mackinaw.
La cabina puede alojar hasta 6 personas y es una instalación para no fumadores. Lo sentimos no se permiten mascotas.
El alquiler es uno de los seis cabinas idénticas que comparten los jardines y más de 100 pies. De frente de agua directa. Delante de la entrada a la orilla del mar es un liesurely 1 minutos a pie. Los barcos son bienvenidos y se proporciona un amarre para botes. Una semana de estacionamiento de remolques para botes en el sitio, pero detrás del cobertizo, no en los espacios de estacionamiento delanteros. El lanzamiento del barco está muy cerca.
La profundidad del agua es excelente para los más pequeños cerca de la costa con una superficie de arena y juguetes disponibles. Disfrutar de su propio pozo de fuego privada para el S'mores, o unirse al grupo en la fosa común en la zona de borde de las aguas!

The cabin was clean and very pleasant. Dean was a great host. It was advertised that there was a hot tub, but there wasn't. I also wished they had provided sheets and towels. It was an overall lovely place

A beautiful spot, perfect if you have access to a boat! Family of five fit comfortably, cabin was clean and all amenities as advertised. Beach is a walk from the cabin so make sure you have a cooler on wheels or a sturdy teenager to carry stuff down to the water.

Great Up North Experience

We found the Cabin as expected. Weather was beautiful and we enjoyed the water, boating and the campfires at night. Also the neighbours at Golf Colony were very welcoming.

Lake Bellaire

The cottage was comfortable, cozy and clean. The proximity to Lake Bellaire was convenient for kayaking snd swimming. Our weather was not the best…rainy and overcast most days. Our only surprise was the crop of mushrooms sprouting from the bathroom floor as a result of rain.

Quiet and relaxing

This was a great place/location. We did Paddle Antrim and this was a great in between location. Plus-it was very quiet and isolated. The cabin had everything we needed

Easy Fixes to be Great

The location is fabulous but the property was in need of several simple upgrades and some simple fixes. It was a hot and humid summer day upon our arrival, resulting in an inside temperature of 95 degrees and a very musty old smell. We turned on ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living room, opened doors and windows and turned on the only portable fan. The portable floor fan was dirty and did not oscillate. The dehumidifier was rattly and loud. The grill was old, with food particles left on the grates. It would not light without a lighter, but no lighter was found on the property. There were two torn screens and a screen door that wouldn't latch so the main door had to be kept closed. There were exposed wires on one of the ceiling fans and a small refrigerator for the owners use kept in a tight fitting bedroom closet. There were scraps of food on both of the potholders, only a very small amount of dish soap, one dish towel and one dish rag for a week's stay. We discovered the attic fan had been removed and replaced with an air conditioner, but the air conditioner can only be used by the owners. The bedroom table lamps were unplugged and could only be plugged in by moving the beds where we found cobwebs, an old hanger, and several dryer sheets. We were in communication with Dean the owner several times. We appreciated his quick responses giving his suggestions, explanations, and his insight about better weather ahead. He also sent the maintenance man to repair the screens and door latch and to take a look at the microwave and the grill, which was not repairable. We discovered that Dean and his family were the last ones to use the cabin leaving about three hours before we arrived. Every item on the list above could have been easily noticed and taken care of before our arrival. Dean assures us in 14 years he has "NEVER" had a guest accuse him of misrepresenting the property. After reading this post, I trust you can decide for yourself. This cabin has great potential, the location is great and the people in the area are quite friendly. It is our hope Dean will take our suggestions of making the easy fixes and making the necessary upgrades. If that should happen then the place would be a great stay for your family.

Cute cabin on the lake, great location

The cabin was perfect for our needs! We like the rustic feel and it was great to be so close to the water. This cabin also had it's own fire pit, which was a really nice option. Our kids loved having bunk beds. Our stay was comfortable as as expected. Dean was a good host and was available when we had questions. We would definitely stay again.

This was an EXCELLENT PROPERTY in an AWESOME LOCATION. You can't be the convenience to everything on the LAKES and all the nature at your back door. If you want to relax and enjoy some beautiful scenery this is your place

Bellaire cabin

We had a wonderful time staying here. We brought our boat and spent time on a Bellaire Lake, Grass River, Calm Lake and Torch. It is a beautiful area. The cabin was nice. Love listening to the loons and seeing eagle almost everyday. It was great because store and everything close by. Looking forward to stay here in the future.

Great location on Lake Bellaire

We thoroughly enjoyed our week on Lake Bellaire. The cabin was a great, affordable choice that met our needs. It had all of the basics we needed and enough room for us to be comfortable. The location was great and being able to keep our boat in the water was priceless. Lake Bellaire is a perfect lake and gave us access to the Grass River and Clam Lake so we could also get on Torch Lake, all without ever taking our boat on the water which was excellent. Dean was helpful and had good communication. Would rent this place again.

Cute cabin, good location

Stayed at the cabin in September 2016 while in town for a friend's wedding on Torch Lake. The cabin was a perfect location near all of the festivities without breaking the bank! We had four adults in the cabin and the size was just right. Enjoyed coffee in the morning at the picnic table and seeing the stars at night from the dock. Highly recommend!

We had a great time

Our family of five stayed at Dean's cabin for a week in July, 2015. It's a nice place. Clean, big enough for five (and a few more), a 1 minute walk to Lake Bellaire. There's a nice patio with chairs and a grill, a nice side yard with a fire pit that is technically a common space for the community, but was never used by anyone but us, comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen. There is a park with a public beach, several grills and extra parking literally behind the house and I never saw more than one or two cars a day there the whole week. No WiFi. The owner is friendly and responded to all my questions. This is a nice simple cabin to enjoy Northern Michigan from.

Great for boaters

We loved the lake access as we had our boat and it was very convenient to walk our to our boat at anytime. We had 2 adults & 2 kids (12,14) for most of the stay but had cousins join us for two nights with 3 kids (11,15,17) and 1 adult and it was just fine. If you are into lake activities or a quiet week stay here. We had water heater go out but owner had it serviced next morning and was fine. Love Shorts brewing and the easy access to the grocery store (a laundromat if necessary). We would like to return.

Hello and welcome to our humble log cabin. My name is Dean and I am a professional educator who has worked more than 30 years in the State of Michigan. My wife Jennifer and I have two wonderful daughters who love every chance they can to enjoy time at the cabin. However, as they grow and get busier, time at the cabin is not as available as we would like, so we decided to share our treasure and offer vacation rentals a few weeks a year.
We purchased the cabin in 2007 and spent a good portion of the summers of 2008 and 2009 remodeling. The remodel included an new kitchen, stipping the logs down to bare wood and restaining, new flooring, furniture, and a large outdoor patio. Fortunately the bathroom had been updated only a few years before we purchased. The experience was a true labor of love, (but we are in no hurry to do it again!)
The cabin itself was originally constructed in the 1950's as part of the accommodations for golfers visiting the Bellaire Golf Course (closed in 2012). Hence the name of the association the cabin is part of is called the Bellaire Golf Colony.
Located at the southeastern tip of the lake we enjoy spectacular sunsets, and peaceful privacy as the property to the south belongs to the Grass River Nature Preserve and Antrim County.

Having lived and worked in Northern Michigan for 10 years I missed the slower pace, relaxed environment, and general beauty of the Chain of Lakes and surrounding area. I think all who visit understand and appreciate what a treasure this region is!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Any summertime activity you could hope to enjoy is here or nearby. From our beachfront one can literally boat all the way to Elk Rapids! It is an amazing journey if you love the water and long boat trips. The beach area in front is great for relaxing and letting the little ones enjoy the water, as depth remains 2-3 ft for the first hundred yards or more. For the fisherman one only needs to know that Lake Bellaire is, (or was :) home to a record setting Muskie caught in the Fall of 2012!

For non-water activities championship golf at one of Shanty Creeks 5 golf courses is just a few miles away. For the shopper Traverse City or Charlevoix are approximately 30-40 minutes away, with Turtle Creek Casino just 30 minutes out. Don't forget, Bellaire is home to one of the most popular brewery's in Michigan - Shorts Brewing Co.
