RockWorks Villa- fuera de lo común por la paz y la tranquilidad

Rockworks es una espaciosa casa de dos dormitorios situado en el lado bastante al norte de St. Thomas con la segunda habitación a través de la cubierta de sol para la máxima privacidad. El pabellón principal consiste en la la cocina recién reformada, comedor y suite principal rey. La casa es ideal para dos parejas o una familia pequeña y es de una sola planta con un solo paso por las casas y tiene un cómodo aparcamiento para dos vehículos. Esta finca cuenta con terrazas con palmeras de todo tipo, junto con árboles frutales y brillantes flores tropicales. Rockworks fue diseñado para el flujo de aire que permite a los huéspedes disfrutar de la brisa tropical, aunque la casa dispone de aire acondicionado. Estamos 1/3 de una milla sobre Dorothea Bay.
Rockworks está situado en la misma finca que Stone Cottage, pero la privacidad es completa. Puedes reservar ambas villas para hasta siete personas..

Love this place!!

We absolutely loved this Villa. Sherri is a great host! She was very responsive, helpful and gave us a lot of helpful advice. My kids really enjoyed the pool. Highly, highly recommend Rockworks and St. Thomas. I can't wait to go back!

St Louis Gang...

Sherri was the greatest host from booking to pick up and delivery to the villa. She answered all my silly ?'s. Carnival was going on so she even called several jewelry stores to see if they were open on parade day for us. They were not so we changed up our daily events. My husband got real sick so she came over and made up the couch for him with nice clean sheets so I did not get sick. The DVD player conked out in the master so I texted Sherri and she brought over a new one the next day. The house was perfect everything you would need even spices for the kitchen. We also had the use of the villa coolers and rafts for beach days which was very nice. The pool was very refreshing with the lovely waterfall. Beds were comfy and a must the AC's all worked great. The home is right up in the trees and I can still hear coki-coki from the frogs. The view was AAA rating. I have worked with a lot of villa host thru out the years and Sherri is by far one of the Best. Dont let the driving scare you just use gps and take your time we drove every where on the island several times over. We would for sure rent this villa again if we come back to St. Thomas.

Beautiful Northside St Thomas

First time to really stop and stay no cruising just enjoying. This is where we landed and it was perfect. The north side is truly the best side. Dorothea Beach is quiet and just down the road. (The paved road is very steep and worth the work-out/hike back home) The locals consider this the best beach though small. Through the winding roads the airport is maybe 20 minutes away. The property manager Sherri is full of great information, especially for the great restaurants such as Twisted Cork in the French area. Stir It Up for coffee and amazing pastries every morning again just 20 minutes away maybe 15 in the shopping district. Prime for steaks was amazing and the view was the best my husband and I have ever seen. But my favorite was Isla Blue at the new Weston. Right on the beach so beautiful and the lobster was to die for. My favorite part of the trip was just sitting on the porch looking out to the ocean. You can hear the waves, the weather was perfect. Everything is so beautiful in St. Thomas.

Another Day in Paradise

We had the privilege of staying at Rockworks for a second time, and man was it WONDERFUL!! Once again, from the moment of booking our trip Sherri reached out almost immediately. She is always so helpful and just an all around awesome human. She makes you feel like you've been friends forever. This time we brought our 10 and 12 year old kids. They LOVED this place and said it felt like we lived on the island during our vacation. The house is set up perfectly and having that extra guest house makes for a great stay. We used Moe's Fresh Market, which is right up the street, for our grocery needs. This is definitely a HUGE amenity. We found ourselves watching movies and playing the many board and card games that are at the house every evening. We even dipped in the pool a few times. During the day we would venture out to the different beaches near by. All in all this place is magical and comes highly recommended from us! Thank you for an amazing time, Sherri and Rockworks!!

We had a great stay at Rockworks! Sherri met us right near the airport -Emerald Beach Club- after we got our rental car. Could probably do any car but with the steep hills etc we were happy we got a Jeep. Followed her - stay left!- as she led us to Rockworks and pointed out some places to see and eat along the way. We are two adults and two adult ish kids. My 18 year old was happy about the drinking age in USVI! The location is remote enough to not be near the cruise ships and resorts but close enough to make it everywhere we wanted to go. Hull bay is the closest beach -5 minutes- and Red Hook is 35 minutes to car ferry to St. John. We are pretty low key - got groceries and made a few meals - kitchen is well stocked and met all of our needs. Place is clean and comfortable. You can tell how much care Sherri takes in maintaining this family heirloom. Had a great time stargazing on the spacious deck and taking dips in the “cocktail” pool! Great base for day trips to mountain top, drakes seat and magens beach. Highly recommend Rockworks!

Our own private resort

AWESOME! Online pics did not do justice to this beautiful villa and surroundings! Actually 2 villas, with the second separate living space. Beautiful clean and unusual pool, well equipped kitchen, tasteful furnishings, lovely landscaping and the most incredible breathtaking view from the large wraparound deck! We rented a new Jeep Wrangler from Amalie Car Rental, it was necessary. Just as awesome was the property manager Sherri. From start to finish she was always available, even meeting us at the car rental and escorting us back to our villa, who does that? We have only positive things to say about our stay at Rockworks, off the beaten path! It lived up and was truthful about its online description!

Outstanding Property!

We recently visited St. Thomas and were very pleased with our stay at the Rockworks Villa. Located in the north-central area of St. Thomas, it is tucked back away from the road and private. Since it was 4 of us (my wife and her sister/bro-in-law), the property was a perfect set up for us, as it allowed privacy in the 2 separate living quarters. The property and rooms were clean and well stocked. The pool was awesome and was a great spot to unwind at the end of the day. The host had it cleaned at least twice while we were there. It's obvious that Sherri invests a lot of time/effort in making your stay and the property the best it can be. She was a super host in every way - highly communicative and helpful. She texted ust he moment we landed and was waiting for our party at the car rental location by the time we got there. She personally escorted us from the airport to the property and then took 45 minutes to give us a tour and provide tips on beaches and restaurants to visit. This was very much above and beyond what I have ever experienced in my 30+ years of travel. And trust me, you will appreciate her escorting you to the property from the airport. Roads in St.Thomas are steep and windy, and can be confusing. I was super happy Sherri took the time to do this. She even checked in with us via text at the halfway point during our 7 day stay to make sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend!

Slice of Paradise

We truly enjoyed our stay at Rock Works. From booking and hearing from Sherri right away, to her meeting us close to the airport to direct us to the property. She was very helpful, friendly and fun. The property is 100% as advertised. It is a beautiful, quiet oasis where you feel as though you are the only people on the island. The greenery and tranquility of it is nothing short of amazingly beautiful. If you find yourself at Rock Works, consider yourself blessed. A very special place

The property is very attractive and the view is spectacular. Manager made this an outstanding trip. Sherri, the manager, met us at the airport and led us to the unit. She was always available to answer any questions. I actually had a small car accident and she came to get me. She could not have been more helpful. The grounds are well maintained. The view from the mail house is extraordinary.

From start to finish, Sherrie and the Rockworks property delivered! Exceptional pre-trip details, excellent greeting process, wonderful recommendations and a lovely host, this property has it all. Sherrie was available to us throughout our stay but we had an absolutely private week. If you are looking to get out of the hustle and bustle of staying in a hotel property or in town, this is the perfect fit. We will definitely be back!!!

Beautiful Villa

The Rockworks property is stunning. The views are even better than the pictures. The roads on the island take some getting use to but the drives to the beaches were worth it. The Waze app worked great for directions and we recommend renting a Jeep or a similar high profile vehicle. We really enjoyed the private pool and it was the perfect size for our family. Sherri has excellent communication and was very responsive. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Rockworks.

Can't Imagine Staying Anywhere Else

Rockworks made our time on St. Thomas very special. It is the perfect place to unwind after a long day of taking in the natural wonder and culture of the island. Take some chairs to the north facing balcony and relish in the stunning view of the ocean and the Brass Islands as the sun goes down. Spend some quiet time here and you just might see kestrels, hummingbirds, mongoose, crabs, and of course, iguanas. Cool off in the pool with a nice beverage (no glass of course!). The property is immaculate and the host is friendly and helpful. If you have the right vehicle or don't mind a little hike, maybe you'll get the details on nearby secret spots that will have you feeling like a local. My family will definitely visit STT again, and I can't imagine staying anywhere else but Rockworks!

AMAZING!

This place is absolutely amazing. Beautiful with the most breath taking views. Everything is as described in the listing. Sherri is a fabulous host, couldn't ask for better service. 1 piece of advise...listen to her and follow her instructions on the driving, especially if you're not used to driving in the islands on the left side. We had quite a few adventures that were both terrifying, exciting and hilarious all at the same time as those roads and the drivers on them are absolutely CRAZY! She will show you the way there and I would recommend remembering that way and use it to come and go...unless you want some adventure! lol. I would also NOT recommend a very wide vehicle unless you are an experienced driver. Great times in a great place and again, Sherri ROCKS!

first time to st thomas for my family, couldn't have chosen a better place. private, peaceful, and beautiful. loved being out on the wrap around balcony overlooking dorothea bay in the morning with a cup of coffee or later in the day with a drink. Sherri was great from beginning to end. friendly, down to earth, always available if needed, makes you feel at home. maintains the buildings and the grounds are gorgeous, woman of many talents. a week was not enough, didn't want to leave, we loved it. greg j

Such a wonderful property!

The perfect vacay house on St. Thomas, especially for two adult couples! Kids/teens would have been fine, but it worked well with one couple in the pavilion, and the other in the main bedroom. Heads up the pavilion is more private. The bedroom in the main house is behind a big pocket door, but the ceiling is open to sounds to/from the main living area. If you're getting jiggy, do it quietly - lol. The little pool is comfortably warm and private. Privacy is definitely not an issue here at all, even though there are other properties "nearby." We're kind of techie, and we were very pleased with the quality of the Wifi and the televisions. Beware the steep driveway! There are lots of steep roads in St. Thomas, and this driveway is no different. We got up and down in the Jeep rental just fine, but we took a taxi once, and she could not get her minivan up until we exited the vehicle. The landscaping in the pictures is NOT an exaggeration -- it is absolutely beautiful! The house is easy to keep cool. The appliances are all nice. There are some neat, less traveled beaches nearby, and you are away from the more populated parts of the island. Sherri the property manager was fantastic! She gave us a good introduction, then she left us alone. When the Wifi stopped working, she was responsive and came right over to reset the router. Terrific lady. This was not a complaint for us, but be aware the beds are very firm! Anyway, I highly recommend this rental -- we'll be back!

I am the manager of Rockworks owner, John, and have been managing the villas since 1999. Rockworks started short term renting in 1997 and was finished building in 1996. I love what I do and have enjoyed our guests on many levels. We are blessed.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We are off the beaten path, west of Magen's Bay. We are close to one of the most secluded beaches that you may either use 4wd to get to or hike to via the rocky Dorothea beach below. This beach has no amenities so be sure to take water and snacks with you! It is one of our favorite spots and so peaceful. Few people even know about it!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Our terraced yard offers mangoes, bananas, plantain, coconut trees, lemon and lime trees, passion fruit, and even avocodo, but remember these things are seasonal and not always available. We always share what we have on hand!
We also are blessed with a lovely restaurant called Fish Bar and 2 very casual beach bars, The Shack at Hull Bay and Nomad's also on Hull Bay Beach just 1 mile away.
