Everything and more! Great location and the owners have a closet full of beach activities that you will use daily! The view is awesome! Great location to surrounding towns and activities. A fabulous place to relax and enjoy your family in a quiet atmosphere. Everyone here was so nice and we felt very safe our entire stay. Thank you for making our dream vacation one we’ll never forget. Beautiful sunrise every morning.

THE BEST STAY IN MAUI

We stayed here for a week with our 3 kids ages 7, 5, and 18 months. The condo is exactly as pictured but way better in person! We loved having breakfast on the lanai every morning. The easy access to the pool was so convenient with three little kids. The property manager and staff were so friendly and pleasant. The pool and grills are well kept and cleaned every morning! The residents are also so, so friendly and welcoming. Communication with the host was the cherry on top of our stay. Richard was so responsive and accommodating of our flight times and schedule. Upon our arrival, Maui was hit with a Tsunami warning. To my surprise, Richard called me personally within minutes of the alert being issued to make sure my family was safe and to give us advice on where to go on the island to find temporary shelter. He really did not have to do that but it meant a lot to us that he did. The condo, the host, the location...everything about this place embodied the spirit of Aloha. My family and I will definitely be back again.

Absolutely loved our stay. The condo was exactly as described and was a perfect location to everything that we wanted to do. My husband and son enjoyed using the golf clubs that was available to use with the condo. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Getaway

The property was just as described. What wasn't there was the proximity to EVERYTHING on Maui. What a great location for access to all the major sites and cities. Quiet, and beautiful views of the bay. The property is immaculate! People are friendly and will gladly point out things to do and see. Don't forget to watch for turtles feeding right off the sea wall! The owners are very helpful, and willing to share experiences for the trip of a life time! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful Sunrises from the patio

A very nice two bedroom condo on bottom floor. Swimming pool is on a few feet away from the patio, which we watched the sunrise every morning. There are also 2 propane bbq’s, which we used, very close. Complex is very quiet and peaceful. The only time we knew someone was above us is when we saw them on their balcony.The VRBO listing was pretty spot on about what extra items were in the unit ( ice chests, beach chairs, etc.). The parking spaces are a little narrow so we chose to park on the street a couple nights instead of squeezing in/out of our rental car. It was not a big deal as there was plenty of street parking available just outside the parking lot from our assigned space.The property/maintenance manager was frequently walking the property and very friendly and personable. He seems to be very focused on the overall appearance of the complex.I messaged the owner on three separate occasions from the time we booked it until we checked out. Each time he responded within what seemed as a matter of minutes. This was a fantastic all around experience and would absolutely rent from Richard and Jackie again.

First time in Maui with the fam.

Amazing time in Maui, was our first time here, the unit is exactly as listed, owners were easy to reaxh if you have any questions, location was great for us, it was quiet and peaceful but not to far if you wanted to go anywhere, you litterally can watch the whales during whale season right fro. The linai, we will definitely be returning.

Relaxing and quiet getaway

Our stay was so pleasant, thoughtful amenities and easy to follow directions. So close to shopping a wonderful restaurants and the wildlife viewing from the property was an unexpected surprise. We saw turtles and whales daily!

Wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The unit was clean and the kitchen was very well stocked with all the necessary items for prepping meals. It was also well stocked with beach gear. The walkout patio added to our stay as we were able to easily access the waterfront lounge chairs and enjoy the wonderful view of Haleakala. The landscaping of the resort was beautifully maintained and manicured. Our proximity to the pool was great as well. Thanks for making our first visit to Maui a wonderful one!

Great location and better views

We’ve been to Maui a few times and love both the Kihei and Lahaina areas. This location gave us easy access to both! Well equipped for our family of two parents, two grandparents and two kiddos. Small sandy beach near the harbor to walk to each morning but we drove to the southern beaches for snorkeling. Thanks for letting us stay and we can’t wait to come back!

Paradise with some faults

This property was clean and in a great location and around 15-20 minutes from most major points of interest in Maui. The ground level access to the pool and ocean view was fantastic, the views were unforgettable. Everything about the stay was super smooth including checking in and out. The Wi-Fi was fast and there were great amenities to utilize in the property including beach accessories. The reserved parking space was also nice to have. Some minor issues that should be noted here: The walls/ceiling are unfortunately paper thin, the bedrooms suffer the worst and every morning around 6am the guests in the condo above would scrape their chairs back and forth several times and it would go on for some time. On multiple days there was construction ongoing outside the property with full conversations, laughing and music blasting by the construction crews at dawn that would easily carry straight into the side bedroom. During the construction period there was painting on the walkway leading into the property and on two days we were unable to use the front door entry way and had to utilize the back sliding door that cannot be locked from the outside. On two occasions we anxiously had to leave our valuables in the condo with the back slider door unlocked during the times we went out, rushing back on both occasions to ensure its safety.

Maui vacation

I cannot say enough about this condo! Location was great! Everything was easy to get to and airport was about 20 mins. Very well stocked with everything that you can possibly need and more. First floor walk out to pool and ocean. Sea turtles and crabs everyday. Pool was just the right size and sunrise over the volcano every morning. I would highly recommend this condo.

Great Place to Stay

This was such a comfortable and convenient place to stay. It felt like home to us. My family and myself said that because of staying here we had such a pleasant visit to Maui. The furniture and style of the everything just gave us a wonderful place to have downtime and bond . Owners were great giving us a little longer to check out when flights were not going our way. Looking forward to staying here again!!

Maui Vacation Family of 5 - July 2024

Condo had everything we needed from beach towels, to beach chairs and boogie boards, even snorkeling gear which our teenagers loved. Enjoyed beautiful sunsets and pool access was only steps away!! Sea turtles visible everyday as well. Gorgeous! Although condo was on the smaller quaint side for our family of 5, we still took advantage of everything it offered! Mahalo for the memories July 2024!!

Perfect Stay in Paradise

This property was the perfect mix of beautiful views, friendly neighbors and lots of sea turtle watching every day. It is centrally located in Maui, away from the hustle and bustle of the heavy tourist areas, yet very close to everything you could possibly want: restaurants, food trucks, shopping, swap meets, snorkeling, and stunning beaches. It is also close to the airport for convenience. The hosts were absolutely amazing! So fast to respond and very kind to help us scramble with some last-minute schedule changes. I highly recommend this property for the perfect stay in paradise.

The condo was absolutely wonderful. The description of the condo is accurate. Beds wre very comfortable, lots of dishes, glasses, pots and pans. Very clean! Also all kinds of outdoor equipment in the condo for use. Beautiful oceanfront view right on Maalaea harbor. Gives you lots of opportunities to watch for whales. Nice swimming pool allows you to meet other visitors and residences. Thank you for making our trip even more spectacular!

We came to get away from winter and work. This location quiet, wind is constant but that keeps the heat easier to sit outside. The condo is well kept, the hosts have been very easy to communicate with. Thank you for providing us with a home away from home.

We loved it there. We stayed a week. the kitchen was nice, and the the bathroom had wonderful tile showers. Narcy was the person who cleaned the condo prior to our arrival and it was spotless. Everything was as represented and we would stay there again in a heartbeat. Whales were breaching about 150 yards out on the first day and the rest of vacation were about 1/2 way across the bay. Loved this property. (:

Excellent stay!

We found the unit to be perfect for us. Granted it was just the two of us but I feel it would be great for a party of 4 as well. There were two nice sized bedrooms with excellent bathrooms with walk-in showers. There was not a tub but that was not an issue for us as we prefer the walk-in showers. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes and table wear/utensils. We were pleasantly surprised to see the ample supply of spices which we utilized as we made many of our meals. The stove was spotless and the refrigerator of nice size as well as new. It was nice to have a quiet dishwasher, too. We truly enjoyed the lanai and the grounds. It felt like we had a pleasantly large backyard with beautiful, smooth grass. It felt so good to walk with bare feet on green grass especially since we left frozen northern Minnesota! We spent relaxing moments lounging under the shade of the palm trees near the sea wall, listening to the soothing waves. We did not use the pool but it was very nice and couldn’t be more convenient to this room. One slight annoyance was that occasionally people would go to the pool well after the 9:00 pm closure. I think they didn’t realize the pool was closed because the lights in the pool were still on. Of course, they didn’t read (it is posted on the entry to the pool) the pool hours. I think the ownership could do something better to make it more obvious to people when the pool is closed. If we return to Maui, we come here!

Ma'alaea Kai is an often undetected property in the central valley of Maui on the south coast. The property is maintained immaculately with arguably the nicest lawn on the island. The proximity to the swimming pool, barbeques in addition to being on the first floor makes the large private lawn like your own backyard. Waking to the sun rising out of the beach bedroom window directly over 10,023 foot Mt. Haleakala is one of the highlights of a trip to this property.
