Saratoga-Whitney weekend

This is a gem - truly a home, not just an apt. And after the busy craziness of the track all day, so quiet and peaceful here. We did not get the chance to try out the restaurants next dooer so we will be back!! Thank you Mark and Kat for sharing your wonderful home!

Great way to experience Saratoga

Easy walking to restaurants (some nice ones in same block) and downtown and wonderful neighborhood. Unit is exceptionally well stocked with cooking needs, towels, etc. Well maintained, clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful visit

Lovely visit

We enjoyed staying in the Beekman St. Arts District. Liked the neighborhood feel and the apartment was conveniently located relative to all the sites we wanted to see. Easy walk to downtown area and easy drive to the state park and horse races. The apartment was very nice and the owners were very accommodating. We would definitely return.

we (3 adults and 2 kids) stayed here for two nights last week while my daughter toured Skidmore. Comfortable beds, nice towels, well equipped kitchen and nice location! What a great stay!

Clean and spacious

We had some trouble figuring out the thermostat. But, other than that, everything was great. Location is awesome. The house is nice. Owners made everything easy. It was a great base camp for the weekend.

No brainer, excellent place and location

Very nice, well done apartment. Great location that gives you a taste of off Broadway living. Two restaurants across the street and both were excellent. Off street parking and downtown is walkable. Also a short drive to walking at Saratoga State Park. Great job by the owners a winner in all categories. Thank you.

Thoughtful hospitality

Obviously the owners care greatly about their property but also about their guests’ comfort. The place is welcoming and well equipped. Very thoughtful touches are the cushions for the front porch chairs, the set-up in the back area for outdoor dining and/or bbques, the concise and helpful notes about dining options in the area, and the willingness of the owners to answer promptly any questions that might arise during one’s stay. My only suggestion would be for better lighting in the living area for reading purposes in the evening. Currently there is really only one spot with adequate lighting for reading late at night. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a convenient and lovely place to stay in Saratoga.

Wonderful apartment in a great location in Saratoga!

Had a wonderful long weekend at this apartment! Did not touch my car, was able to walk to everything, restaurants, spas, groceries. Beds were very comfortable and front porch was fantastic to relax. Would stay again

10 out of 10!

in june, five of us gals stayed here for a weekend of laughter and fun. a reunion of sorts. we were all blown away by how lovely this apartment was. the location is as wonderful as others have said. the kitchen was our main "hang out" as well as the front porch. we all slept like babies and hated to leave. you will not be disappointed by this property. the owners are clever, talented and thoughtful. thank you again for your hospitality. cheers!

Great apartment in Saratoga!

We stayed at this lovely apartment while visiting Saratoga. It was a great location close to downtown in a very artsy area. The apartment was very clean and well kept. Loved the front porch! The owners were very responsive to our questions. Would recommend!

Great experience!

We booked a last minute trip to Saratoga and Kat and Mark we're so helpful and accommodating. We stayed at their place with our one year old son and they even had some child proofing items available. The apt was extremely clean and comfortable and in a good location. We definitely recommend it! Lauren

Great stay in Saratoga Springs!

This apartment was the perfect choice for my family's visit to Saratoga. The place was spotless when we arrived and everything we needed was there and easy to find. Mark and Kat maintained good communication throughout our stay and saw to it that the property remained clear of snow and ice. We particularly liked that we could walk into town to dine or shop and could also walk to a nearby grocery store and movie theater. Saratoga has always been a family favorite, and this location really suited our needs. We would definitely recommend this property to family and friends and would return there ourselves.

very happy with my choice

Every year a few of my friends from HS get together in go to Saratoga for a week to enjoy the races and have a little fun. This is the 2nd year we used Home Away and we were very happy with our choice this year. The location is close to everything, 5 mins to the race track, 2 mins to down town (by car) Also restaurants close by, a wonderful Korean B-B-Q across the street (we ate there 3 times) a Pub and a high end restaurant with-in 2 blocks. The place was well kept and very comfortable with a lot a parking in the back, it also had a porch in front to people watch at night. I didn’t find anything negative about our stay. I would highly recommend. We are planning to come back next year. 

Beautiful!

This property is truly a gem. Mark and Kat, the owners, are super nice people and very accommodating. The home is newly remodeled and just beautiful. Everything was just so clean and new. There are great restaurants just doors away. It is located only a short walk from downtown, that is assuming you want to leave the comfort of this great "home away from home". We will be back!

Great Location!!

I would highly recommend staying in Mark and Kathryn's lovely 3 bedroom home for your visit to Saratoga Springs. They have done a wonderful job in appointing the house with everything you might need during your stay. The decorating and layout work well for a group of 6. And the location cannot be beat for being very walkable all around downtown Saratoga. I loved the Beekman Street neighborhood and vibe. Leafy, charming and quiet. Mark and Kathryn are a lovely couple and were very responsive to any questions I had. Thanks for a wonderful Saratoga stay! Linda G.

Spacious, clean and comfy!

We rented this for a girls weekend getaway and this rental was everything is said it was - spacious, very clean and comfy. It was perfectly located close to downtown Saratoga (short walk) and even had lots of bars/restaurants within walking distance right in the neighborhood. I would definitely rent this again or recommend to others who are travelling to Saratoga.

Great, quiet place Saratoga Springs

My husband and I stayed for 6 nights, using the property as a gathering place for a small family reunion. The property has been recently redone, and the results are a clean (immaculate, actually) spacious, comfortable apartment in the arts district of Saratoga Springs. The bedrooms are large, the beds are comfortable and the linens are luxurious. The neighborhood is within walking distance to Broadway where one can find tony shops and interesting restaurants and cafes. Don't miss Mrs. London's bakery for yummy treats. The listing was accurate. The property was VERY clean when we arrived, and the owner was extremely easy to work with, adjusting to my family's changing plans with agility and good humor. The next time we go to Saratoga Springs we will definitely try to stay here again.

Crisp, Clean, Carefully Renovated, & Convenient

Best short-term rental apartment ever! Our large family felt right at home in this bright, clean, newly painted and remodeled, huge 3 bedroom apartment. The kitchen was well stocked, including locally roasted coffee! We easily made breakfast for a crowd, including a couple of extra Skidmore Students. Loved that the apartment was minimal in decor and clutter. Easy to put our baggage in each very large bedroom. Could use a small side table in the bathroom for gear . Oh, we also loved walking to the Barrel House for happy hour, and then to 62 Beekman Restaurant, and had a WONDERFUL MEAL. This Arts District is just quaint and we loved being able to walk, instead of drive. We definitely will return to this apartment and the Arts District and Saratoga!
