The best feature of this apartment is that it is close to the historic center of Florence. We were not allowed to drop off our luggage at the apartment early and had to pay to have the luggage stored. No where in the description of the apartment does it indicate that it is a top floor apartment. Four flights of narrow uneven stairs pitched downward in a dark hallway that has lights on a short timer was not what I consider safe. No one met us at the apartment to collect the city tax or to review our documents. No napkins or paper towels. The towels were worn to a threadbare state and only one set per person for the stay. The introductory instructions included “ House Rules” related to noise. I think that a respectful request to be considerate would be preferable. For all other apartments that we have engaged through VRBO we felt welcomed, not here. On the front doors in English in bold letters DO NOT PARK IN FRONT ON THE DOORS! I would not recommend this apartment. FYI, one of the hand rails is loose. The cleaning fee should include trash removal but in this instance we were directed to remove our own trash and take it to public bins away from the apartment.
