We’d love to stay here!<br><br>This apartment is my “pied-à-terre.” I am an internationally recognized artist from Tuscany, and my daughter is a young engineer and architect. It is located on the 3rd floor of a typical, quiet Florentine building. It consists of a large living room with a dining area, a bedroom with two single beds that can be converted into a double, a loft with a double bed on a daybed, a new basic kitchen, a bathroom with a window, shower, and large mirrors (thanks to your feedback, we’ve eliminated an odor that used to reach the bathroom—thank you), and a closet with a washing machine. <br>Very bright and tastefully decorated, combining contemporary design elements with English antiques, it is equipped with air conditioning, independent heating, a washing machine, a TV, an iron, a hair dryer, and wireless internet access. The kitchen is small but well-equipped, with a microwave, kettle, etc. <br><br>A car is not necessary: trains and buses will take you to Pisa, Siena, and all the major destinations in comfort, while Rome and Milan are accessible by train in just one hour from SMN. The neighborhood is very lively and has excellent shops and supermarkets that are always open, even right downstairs from the apartment. You can buy all your daily necessities there.

We really enjoyed our stay. The host was very nice and easy to communicate with, and everything was great. The only things we missed were some wine glasses and a large kitchen knife. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would happily come back!

Yes, you have to walk up 3 flights. We're in our 70's and did fine. Everything you need. Close to the train station, busses, and trams (including one from direct the airport that leaves you s 3 minute walk away).10 minute walk from the Duomo plaza. Great eats cheap at local Leonardo cafeteria (eat with locals). Loads of stores, reataurants, and even a McDonald's - for the coffee) within 5 minutes.Great price.Great communication.Great art on the walls.Great place.Almost all we needed.) It could use an extra light and you should bring your own shower gel. Big deal.)

We stayed four nights here while attending a conference. The location is fantastic: a 2-minute walk to Fortezza da Basso and very close to many lovely restaurants/landmarks. The apartment was easy to access, clean, and well-organized. Lea was very responsive throughout the entire process. Contrary to prior reviews, the apartment has an excellent air conditioning/heating system. We would recommend without hesitation.

Nice Apartment

Nice apartment but be aware of three flights of steep stairs especially with luggage. Host was wonderful, apartment was clean, overall very happy with our 5 night stay. Many restaurants and little store on the block. Convenient to transpotation and everything we did.

Great location

Fabulous location really close to San Lorenzo Market and the train station. We really enjoyed our stay here. Well equipped kitchen and the only thing missing was a dishwasher. Just be aware that this apartment is on the top floor so lots of stairs to climb with your suitcases and everytime you ho in and out.

Great overall

We loved the place. Well equipped and clean. Perfectly located, 3 minute walk to the train station, 10 minute walk to Center. Host was very nice and answered all our questions. Please book her place you wont regret it.

Loved it here!

Our host was very responsive and gave me every detail I needed before arrival. The apartment was exactly like the pictures which was lovely to see in person. The neighborhood is within walking distance of many places including the train station. Literally walked everywhere the only transportation I took was a taxi to the airport. It is on the 4th floor so quite a bit of steps to get to the room but nothing crazy that wouldn’t make me book here again! I loved every bit of the apartment It was beautiful and the air conditioning was fantastic which was a huge relief in the 100* F. weather. Also, if you take a peek at the books you will be wonderfully surprised!

I recommend

We loved our stay in Florence. This appartment is very well situated, near the train station and not too far from the center. The appartment was clean and well equipped. The only downside is that the room isn't closed with real walls. It's panels and a big wardrobe that block the view, but the sound can go through. It wasn't so fun as we were travelling with a baby, so we couldn't make any noise once she was in bed. But other than that we loved it. Also, the appartment is on the 3rd floor, so be ready to climb stairs 😉

The best feature of this apartment is that it is close to the historic center of Florence. We were not allowed to drop off our luggage at the apartment early and had to pay to have the luggage stored. No where in the description of the apartment does it indicate that it is a top floor apartment. Four flights of narrow uneven stairs pitched downward in a dark hallway that has lights on a short timer was not what I consider safe. No one met us at the apartment to collect the city tax or to review our documents. No napkins or paper towels. The towels were worn to a threadbare state and only one set per person for the stay. The introductory instructions included “ House Rules” related to noise. I think that a respectful request to be considerate would be preferable. For all other apartments that we have engaged through VRBO we felt welcomed, not here. On the front doors in English in bold letters DO NOT PARK IN FRONT ON THE DOORS! I would not recommend this apartment. FYI, one of the hand rails is loose. The cleaning fee should include trash removal but in this instance we were directed to remove our own trash and take it to public bins away from the apartment.

Basic Apartment, Great Location, Lacking Comfort

The location and communication with host were excellent. The host arranged self check-in for us and provided great instructions. We arrived early and the apartment was ready. We enjoyed the art in the apartment. The host even allowed us to check out about 30 minutes later. I do feel, however, that the rating is far too high for this apartment. This is my first time booking a VRBO with such great reviews that has been so disappointing. Our two biggest needs are good air conditioning and comfortable beds to sleep in. The loft where my husband and I were supposed to sleep was uninhabitable because it was so hot (mid June). We had the air conditioning going full blast, but it is mounted below the loft, so the loft does not feel any cool air coming from the air conditioning. My husband had to “sleep” on the couch to avoid sweating all night. An additional air unit in the loft is needed. The mattress desperately needs to replaced. It felt like laying on a board. There don’t seem to be enough outlets in the apartment, and outlets seem to all be three prong, but the hair dryer, iron, etc are two prong. The outlet didn’t seem to work in the bathroom. In order to run the washer, I had to unplug the air conditioning while it was going. The Moka pot for coffee was very unclean. There were large spots of mold on the shower curtain in the bathroom. A new mattress and air unit for the loft, exhaust fan for the bathroom, new shower curtain, and maybe a few wine glasses would help.

The location of this property was perfect.Very close to the train station, restaurants and historical sites. Apartment was clean, air-conditioning worked very well. The upper bedroom was a little stuffy, thankfully there was a fan that helped. The beds in the lower bedroom were a bit worn and were not the most comfortable. I would give this property a higher review if not for the stairs to get to the apartment. The stairs are VERY STEEP! It was very difficult bring up luggage. I would be concerned with small children. My son a teenager in great shape had to hold on to the rails when climbing up to the 3rd floor. We all got a workout returning to the apartment. Having a smart TV was nice. There was no communication with the host after receiving the code for the entrance and apartment.

Appartement plein de charme et spacieux pour nous 4 (un couple et 2 filles de 10 et 12ans). On y sent l'âme d'artiste de Léa Monetti à travers la décoration et les oeuvres. Proche de tout, nous avons trouvé l'emplacement pratique et y sommes arrivés sans encombre. Il faut monter les escaliers donc peut-être à éviter pour personnes agées ou avec tout-petits. Un magnifique séjour de 4 jours dans Florence!

Location appartement

A notre arrivée le ménage n était pas fait il a fallu attendre la société de nettoyage et 1h30 de ménage donc nous avons perdu plus de 2h il n était pas noté au dernier étage sans ascenseur avec des escaliers rudes il était noté un parking !! C'est faux nous avons dû payer 100€ dans un parking a 10 minutes de marche déçu je ne recommande

A wonderful stay

The apartment is well located, well equipped and a joy to be at in Florence. The owner came by to make sure everything was okay, which was a surprise and a bonus because not only have we found a wonderful apartment, but we've made a new friend!

MARIA NOVELLA and the place of the great exhibitions, making it convenient for those who want to travel and visit other NEARBY CITIES: all buses and trains to Siena, Pisa, Rome, San Gimignano
Etc. It is just a few dozen meters.This apartment has fascinated me for its brightness and pleasure of living. Even four people can maintain their privacy
