2 bedrooms+studio, ideal for kids, 36m² pool, 2.500m² garden, 2,5km from town

Villa Metochi is the ultimate holiday home for modern-day vacationers searching for full privacy and total home-like comfort, along with easy and rapid access to downtown amenities and to the nearest sandy beaches. This gorgeous villa stands in an enviable cliff-side setting overlooking the Sea of Crete and the endless olive groves, and it’s reachable within a 6-minute drive from the town of Rethymnon.

Villa Metochi is a single-storey building consisting of a roomy main house (90 sqm) with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and a fully equipped studio (40sqm) with 2 beds, 1 bathroom, and can comfortably accommodate 6 -7 persons. This property is ideal for extended families with kids (play ground, baby amenities, toys, books, etc.), elders (no stairs), sports lovers (table tennis, fitness accessories, jogging), couples (idyllic setting, romantic sunsets, privacy) or groups of friends (big outdoor spaces, BBQ facilities, board games). The excellent location, the homey atmosphere, the feeling of independence and the intense close-to-nature sensation will ensure a fantastic vacation experience.

Depending on your needs or the number of guests, there are 2 booking options:
1) If you are up to 4 guests, you can book the main house only at our standard rate.
2) If you are up to 6 or just 4 but need extra space and privacy, you can book both the main house and the studio. In this case, you have to pay our standard nightly rate plus 80 euros/night as a supplement for the studio.

If you are 4 and wish to rent both houses, please set the total number of guests at "6" when reserving. Otherwise, you will automatically book the main house only.

Outdoor
After entering the villa’s gate you will surprisingly find yourselves into an amazing 2.500 sqm exterior space with palm trees, pines, fruit trees, lawn and all kind of ornamental and aromatic plants. This beautiful ambience is completed by a stunning private swimming pool (9m long & 1.40m deep). By the pool, there is a lovely gazebo and a lawn area where you can lounge and sunbathe while enjoying a cold, refreshing beverage. The veranda of the house with its dining table for 6 is the perfect spot for having plentiful meals with family and friends or feeling the rejuvenating night dew whilst enjoying a summer cocktail. The villa also features another outdoor sitting area with BBQ facilities and a big table for 6. Between the BBQ area and the swimming pool there is a play area for kids (swingset and slide) and a hammock for revitalizing naps under the shade of pines. For the more energetic guests, there is an outdoor table tennis offering additional enjoyment. Depending on the season, our guests may have the change to taste fresh fruits from our trees (apricots, pears, oranges, loquats, mandarins, lemons, etc).

Indoor
The main house of Villa Metochi covers a ground floor space with an open-plan living room, a fully equipped kitchen, two spacious bedrooms (1 double & 1 twin) and a bathroom with shower cabin. This layout is perfect for two couples or families of four. The comfy living room with its discreet decoration and the wooden ceiling boasts 2 triple sofas and a monastery-style dining table for 7, is air-conditioned and opens up to a large veranda with amazing views of the pool and the well-kept gardens. The house is equipped with free WiFi, flat screen TV, DVD player, washing machine, electric fans, hairdryer, safe box, iron/iron board, first aid kit and all necessary items and appliances for a comfortable stay.

Studio
The studio offers full privacy and is totally independent of the main house. The distance between the main house and the annex house is 15 m approx. It is ideal for couples, grandparents, teenagers, etc. With its roominess and its rustic-like furnishing can ideally host 2-3 extra guests. This annex house is fully equipped and features two comfortable beds (1 single & 1 semi-double), a large kitchen, a spacious bathroom with shower cabin and washing-machine, an A/C unit and a flat screen TV. The studio can be additionally booked in case the total number of guests is higher than 4 or if a smaller group desires additional privacy. A supplementary charge will be required (80 euros per night). If you don't wish to book the studio, it will remain closed during your stay.

The resident dog you read about in the guest reviews does no longer live in the property. Unfortunately, we lost him recently…

Notes:
- Complimentary treat upon arrival
- Bath and pool towels, bed linen, bed covers, blankets and extra pillows are provided
- Housekeeping every 3- 4 days. Pool and garden attendance twice a week.
- For babies, toddlers and young children, we provide upon request travel cot, high chair, stroller, baby bouncer, baby bath, toilet seat and step, bed guard, baby monitor, changing mat, stool, plates, bowls & cups, bibs, books, indoor and outdoor toys, and of course a wooden playground.
- Feel free to ask us for car/bike rental, airport transfer, yacht cruise, excursions, daily housekeeping, starter grocery shopping, baby-sitting, private swimming lessons, rehabilitation in water, etc.

Effective from 1/1/2024 the Greek Government has imposed a new Climate resilience tax to travellers staying at villas, apartments and hotels (15 euros per day for villas). This tax is not included in the rental cost and it has to be collected by us upon your arrival.
