Nice, spacious house close to the ski valley

Big enough property for our group. Wish there had been some hand soap and more than one roll of toilet paper in the bathrooms. Plenty of towels for bathing and hot tubbing. Would definitely stay here again.

Close to slopes and plenty of comforts

House is great size with everything needed for family of 6 with 3 large dogs. Quiet neighborhood within 15 to Taos ski valley. Minutes from Arroyo Seco and great local eating venues.

Great location

Clean and well stocked with necessary household items. Spiral staircase was hard for this 50 year old and master bedroom is up the staircase.

Love this home

We had a fabulous stay. We loved the home and neighborhood and the proximity to Taos skiing. We would love to come back and stay again. I think the home needs a bigger or more visible signage for the house number. We had a tough time finding the home as the number was so small and hard to find. But once we found the home we totally enjoyed ourselves and can’t wait to come back and visit!

Great Mountain Views

House is beautiful, all decorations are so beautifully picked for the house. The bathroom upstairs is the size of a room. (Loved, loved) big enough for my family of 5. So close to the mountains for hiking and riding the lifts. Our favorite part was enjoying the hot tub at night and looking at the stars.

We enjoyed the hot tub and the kids had fun at the pool in the neighborhood rec center. The house was clean, had comfortable beds and everything we needed. Would recommend and would stay there again.

July at Casa del Lujo

Our family of 4 enjoyed the location, space and scenery of Casa del Lujo. The 3 bedroom adobe is charming. The property manager is delightful to work with. The home was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. We give the beds a 3.5 out of 5 for comfort. The home is well equipped with fans which are absolutely necessary in July in a home without air-conditioning. We would return to casa del Lujo.

Had a family gathering at Casa del Lujo. The location was great, in between Taos and Taos Ski Valley. It was a very nice neighborhood and home. I would recommend that the hot tub be cleaned and maintained on a regular basis and that the screens be repaired. It was hot during our stay and we couldnot keep the doors opened because the screens were not in good shape.

Dear J.F. Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Casa del Lujo. We sincerely appreciate guests who care enough to let us know when something needs attention. Housekeepers do not always immediately catch all problems as they spend far less time in the homes than guests do. We will look into the fridge problem and that will be taken care of. Regarding the dark maroon garden tub: Dark porcelain stains and ages more rapidly over time than white or lighter colored porcelain. Unfortunately, nothing short of replacing will remedy the situation. We will let our owners know of your concern. Please know that the tub truly was clean, it just does not appear to be so.

Only complaint would be that there is nothing but dishes in the kitchen... so bring cooking spray, foil, spices, etc if you plan on eating in. The kids took advantage of the clubhouse pool and enjoyed that. Would definitely come back.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we really loved the place. The shower wasn't in great shape and we had a lot of trouble with the dishwasher. I also thought the caretaker wasn't very organized. She had forgotten to call me after I had left multiple messages, and when we arrived the key was not where she said it would be. I called her right away and she was able to deliver the key to us. Again, it was a really great place to stay and we will be back!

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a wonderful home in a great location. We were very disappointed with the support from the manager, we called/texted/email numerous times with no response. The information about the provisions of soap/shampoo were incorrect, and the code for the Wi-Fi incorrect. Although we inquired as to the availability of the community pool facility at booking, it was closed. The home hadn't been recently cleaned and the dead bird in the tub was somewhat disturbing. We tried to notify the manager about several wall hangings that had been removed(hooks with no picture), but couldn't contact her. But the great home, quiet neighborhood and location made up for most of this.

Property unclean and not ready in time

We were told to contact the property caretaker in order to check in, but when I texted, I received no reply. When we called, the caretaker had no idea we were arriving. We had planned to check in at 4 and make a few work calls before dinner. The property manager told us there had been a mix up on their end with cleaners but did not apologize. We were unable to get in for another 21/2 hours. All 5 of us were put on hold and our dog was stuck in the car for another 21/2 hours. The property manager never called to check that we got in and did not wave the cleaning fee. I will not use a site that uses property management companies again.
